Hi Shannon-- Â I have read 3 of the books and so far, no BDSM at all. Â I like that. Â The se x is part of the story and only where it belongs. Â The books are about a family of men who are kind of like mercenaries but for good to help rescue. Â Very gripping. Â Suspenseful. Â Totally different from her BREATHLESS books. Â They are full of BDSM. Â In those books, the se x is the primary focus of the story. Â Not so with the KGI books. Â Nice change of pace.

Â With all the traveling I am beginning to doubt we will see CBY anytime soon. Â Sniff. Â On another note, they have truly cleaned up CH and there seem to be daily postings about him. Â PR for a movie not yet made. Â Cannot imagine what it will be like when the movie is completed. Â Yesterday there was a picture of him surrounded by some great quotes from the first book. Â I kept thinking that we should perhaps, as a way of filling the void, compile our own list of quotes starting with BTY. Â What do you think?

On a different note, I saw a new picture of CH as CG yesterday and for the first time, I can see this working.  He cleaned up real well and I could not see the biker, edgy man  and I could see sophisticated CG.  Stylists did a great job.  He just looked right.  Point being that since I feel it is unlikely that Henry will be Gideon because of cost, I am feeling a little better that Lionsgate will choose someone we can live with. Â

Hi Gigi-- Â I use my ipad which is now about 5 years old. Â It is an ipad 1 and have no issues. Â I use ebooks and also have a Kindle app to download from Amazon which is usually cheaper. Â My daughter and son-in-law and husband have Kindles. Â Most of my friends have Kindles. Â Many of the Kindles have broken and have been replaced with newer versions. Â For me, since I do need to use larger font, the ipad was my device of choice. Â More to see at once. Â Kindles are way cheaper and Amazon has everything. Â I think you need to decide what you personally need and go from there. Â My son-in-law got my daughter a Kindle Fire for her birthday next week. Â I am curious as to how she likes it. Â Again, I needed the size. (Geez, that sounds kind of risque.)

I think this is a very good point cause I have wondered this also. Â Perhaps that is why it took so long to cast the movie. Â I remember the pic of HC with red hair. Â I wondered if he was in talks about CG at that point. Â If I am right, the script wasn't finished yet. Â I would love to know how many men were considered and they either couldn't come to financial terms or the script didn't suit. Â I am trying so hard to picture CH but I don't think he is so gorgeous that women would stare, fall at his feet, etc. Â He is very good looking but I wouldn't say---WOW---if I saw him walking on the street. Â Maybe cause I like have always gone for men with darker hair and complexion? Â My daughter thinks Tom Hardy is hot and I don't. Â She likes men lighter in hair and skin. Â (Her husband looks like TH to me.) Â So, I am seeing her this weekend. Â I will see if she gets the love here. Â She never read the FSOG series so she has no preconceived notions.

I read on FB somewhere that Henry got $14 million for Man of Steel. Â Could that be and if it is, we don't have a snowball's chance in he** of him being Gideon. Â TV doesn't pay that kind of money. Â Annoying.

Hi Gigi-- Â I think that Cary enjoys sex with both men and women but from what we have seen, he only seems to be able to feel "close" to Trey. Â Tat is a pig and the other women are just sex to him. Â Trey is different. Â He actually TALKS to Trey. Â For me, that is why I am pushing for Trey. Â I know a lot of gay men cause of my brother. Â Many couples are not monogamous but they consider themselves faithful cause the other partners are just sex with no relationship and never more than once. Â I hate that. Â I don't get that. Â But these gay couples are in long term (over 20 years) relationships, many married, Â and it works for them. Â If Trey could deal with that, then he and Cary have a chance. Â Now, could Cary accept Trey with other men while Cary scratches his itch with women? Â I don't know. Â Something for Sylvia to deal with. Â

You know, I have actually contemplated rereading some of FSOG with this CG in my head now. Â I am trying here. Â But my biggest thing is waiting for CBY. Â I need me some G and E. Morning--  Some action here.  Good.  Lol  I am getting restless with CBY.  I so miss E and G and want to know what happens.  I was lucky when I started CROSSFIRE cause BTY and RIY were both out so I could go from one to the next.  Waiting for ENTWINED  was torture.  Now its worse.  I am over the whole CG thing.  In all honesty, it's been too long in coming.  The age thing is an annoyance as CH is already 33 but if Hollywood could make Matt Damon look 18--and they did in CANLElABRA--- then I guess it's a nonissue.  He just had to class it up.  Dakota is fine.  I am more into G and E right now.  Want that cast well.   As for Trey and Cary---I hope they make it and Tat disappears along with Corinne.

Sylvia put a long post on FB about the casting of CG which I thought was interesting. Â Check it out if she is a FB friend. Â She thinks the casting is good and she also said she doesn't have say in who is cast as Gideon but that the people from Lionsgate are fans. Â I just hope they don't wait too long or the same crap will be thrown out about the casting of Gideon. Â As I said, let's just hope that if Henry isn't gonna be Gideon, someone close to how we see him will be.

 Agree on both counts.  I doubt we will get HC but with Sylvia and us having the same vision, if not Henry then maybe someone close.  CG has got to come off as sophisticated and refined or the character would not work.  He may be kinky but he is not edgy.  There is a huge difference and that is what Charlie has to pull off.  From what I am reading, he is a good actor but can he pull off the class?  I don't know as I have never seen his work.  The new picture is much, much better.  The big problem is that they waited a full 2 years before casting him.  2 years for people to read and reread and form a definite image of who CG is.  I hope that Lionsgate does not make the same mistake with Gideon.

HI Gigi- I think I get what you mean. Â I am more into one couple romance. Â That is why I loved the GABRIEL books and liked the REMEMBRANCE series. Â I do love the THIS MAN books also. Â Â Most of the books I have read are one man, one woman unless you are referring to the BREATHLESS series and the books that started with ON DUBLIN STREET. Â All those have one couple per book but each book is another couple. Â Â Since I started the SURRENDER series a while ago, I decided to finish the series with SEDUCED which came out yesterday. Â A one day read that had no BDSM Â at all. Â Just romance and great S E X Â scenes. Â I get to the end and it was another EWY moment. An unexpected 4th book. Â OMG, I was so annoyed. Â I am not in love with that series like CROSSFIRE so I just wanted to know how it ended. Â Now another to wait for. Â So dam annoying.

Â I read somewhere that someone said he is "rough around the edges, edgy." Â That is what bothered me. Â Christian is very refined almost to the point of affected. Â At least for most of the series. Â I am sure they can make him look the part, but he certainly isn't who I pictured. Â I think Dakota will be fine. Â She is more the right age and hair color is a no biggie at all. Well, Henry was not cast as CG. Â What do you ladies think of the guy who was cast? Â I know absolutely nothing about him other than I looked him up on Wikipedia and I couldn't believe that was who was cast. Â ANYONE?

Hi Gigi-- Â You make a good point. Â I think that what would make it work for Henry is that he has already made a name for himself as Superman. Â As a matter of fact, I wonder if taking on a romantic role wouldn't be a good thing so he doesn't get type cast as a superhero. And he is going to do MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Â Hugh Jackman really has diversified himself and I don't think anyone would identify him as only a superhero. Â Broadway, leading man. To be Gideon, Henry would have to really show his stuff as an actor. Â Yes, Gideon is uber se*ual, but he is a whole lot more. Â I think that is his allure. Â Â Do we know if CROSSFIRE will be a miniseries or a series? Â If it is a series, then I am not sure someone who is now establishing himself as a movie star such as Henry would take that on. Â If it is a miniseries, then I think we have a chance. Â

I don't know Liam at all. Â For me the problem is that I see Gideon being Henry and so does Sylvia. Â Whoever does get the role has a big nut to crack to overcome what we have been seeing in our heads for a couple of years. Â That doesn't mean a good actor cannot do it. Â It's about acting and chemistry. Â Plus, a TV audience is most likely a lot larger than the number of people who have read the series to the extent we on this board have. Â I wish more info was available on SOMETHING with book 4 so we can move onward. Â And I hope Lionsgate doesn't mess around with Crossfire the way Universal has with FSOG. Â Man of Steel came out in June and casting is already set for 2015. Â Geez.

I just found this thread and I must say that after reading FSOG and a couple of other series that involve BDSM, I do not see Gideon and Eva in that kind of relationship. Â I just don't. Â Most men like to be in control in the bedroom MOST OF THE TIME, but not all of the time. Â That is how I see Gideon. Â Eva is a bit hardheaded so maybe Gideon's point is that she doesn't need to push to have her own way. Â She has had to be in control of her healing. Â That is true. Â It does make you stronger and more pushy when you are struggling to get your life back. Â The comment where he tells her that she needs to be more submissive means to me that she doesn't always have to try to have it her way. Â That she needs to trust him to know what is right for them as a couple. Â I don't know of any long term relationship where these issues don't come up. Â Men have very fragile egos and often need to feel like they run the show. Especially super powerful businessmen like Gideon. Â As my mom told me many years ago, a smart woman runs the show but allows her man to think he does. Â I really would hate to think of them in a BDSM relationship.
