We don't know how recently Anne had the affair with Gideon, and we don't know when it was Hugh killed himself. But I cannot see Gideon s c r e w i n g Anne after she lost a sibling to suicide. I can see Gideon feeling even more guilty about hurting Anne if the sequence of events was breaking Anne's heart and then Anne's brother dying.

Im thinking Hugh killed himself when Gideon was 20esh. and Im thinking he was banging Anne a couple years ago

What happens next when Deanna/Anne/Corrine learns the truth: Mrs. Eva Lauren Tramell Reyes Cross? I think Corrine already threw in the towel over the engagement news and is leaving New York the instant she gets out of the hospital. But not Deanna and Anne. They both turn bunny boiler?

 

Maybe Deanna becomes what Eva has feared for a decade, a journalist who exposes her dark past about Nathan? Ever since the first book, we knew Eva was afraid of that. And then it comes out Nathan got murdered, and so gossip starts speculating Eva had something to do with that?

 

What about Anne, when she finds out Gideon and Eva got married? A dangerous expert at mind games, because she's a shrink, Anne would know all the buttons to push with Eva, especially if Deanna already exposed Eva's past, raped as a child and promiscuous years later because of the damage. Plus there is new guilt to manipulate Gideon with about the miscarriage and suicide attempt? And does Anne know Gideon is a rape survivor too?

as far Deanna, she is gona dig up Eva's past as far as painting her as a pig. I don't believe the murder will come up at all.

 

Eva knows to stay away from Anne. But I don't think Anne knows about her brother and what happened to Gideon.

... Ok in re playing CBY(audio book) for the 50th X :0).. There is something that I don't get.. In chapter 6 when Eva and Monica are at lunch.. Eva says.. ( to herself) ... She(Monica) had been an Ali in convincing Victor of Gideon's affection for her(Eva).. I was so wrapped up in the story I never really grabbed on to that.... Did I miss something? I thought Monica made sure that as soon as Eva was old enough to communicate with Victor on her own she had had NO contact???

Wow, I agree with some theories but I think a little different.

• The whole who help Gideon with getting a way with murder. I think it was Clancy. Clancy said he been keeping tabs on Nathan, then later on in the book while look at Eva  said you will be ok. Gideon will try to pay Clancy but Clancy will just want to make sure he take care of Eva.
• Elizabeth know want happen to Gideon but just want to act like it never happen. In the book she said to Eva you will not take him from me. That made me think that she know. Gideon will found out that she know and be more mad. He will confront her about it with Eva. 
• I think Eva 's boss will promote her but realize that Gideon is hiring Mark knowing that Eva love working with him. So that get Eva to come work for him. This make Eva and Mark both partner in Gideon 's new company.
• Dr. Lucas realize that his wife know the whole time that her brother rape Gideon. He also realize he was wrong for keep the truth from Gideon's mom. After learning that his wife is trying to bring the people around Gideon down because she still want Gideon.(Corrine, Eva, Cary) Which me end up leaving her.
• Cary will tell Trey about the baby. Trey will be shock but love Cary and will be by his side to see if it is he. Tat not pregnant she think Cary has money but realize that it is Eva who the one with money that allow Cary to live the way he does. So she focus on Gideon more and try to get him in bed.
• Megumi came back to work on Friday. Which Eva learn that she was abused by Michael. So Eva invites Megumi out of town with her and Cary. This allow Brett and Megumi to meet which spark a fire between the both of them. Eva tell Brett about the video. So Brett and Gideon join team to protect Eva.

• Deanne told Gideon about the video hope when he see that it is true he would leave Eva alone. When at  the fundraiser  She see Gideon's wedding ring which make her mad. She start to search more about Eva and learn about Nathan, Cary and her past life and family.  She start to trash Eva in the news hope Gideon will get out the marriage. Think that he will not want to be link with her and bring his name down.

• Ireland and Eva get close. Ireland moves in with Gideon and Eva. Elizabeth does not like it. Feel like Eva is take her family away. So join the Deanne on trying to destroy Eva.

Tell trying to see where Corrine, Victor, and Monica stories lead. I can't wait for the next two books.

Finally some one that thinks the way I do.. when I first read that Deanna told Gideon about the video . I thought

...she wanted him to see her for being a pig and walk away from her.Yes she is going to dig.. He told Eva he would destroy anyone that wrote about Eva's past..Bub bye Deanna your going down..

If Anne came onto Gideon, Its more then likely Lukas was so wrapped up in his work and was ignoring her and not putting out.9 out of 10 times that's why anyone cheats . Im sure Lizzy has NO CLUE Hugh was Lukas brother in law.. Im thinking when they have their

Sorry Betty but I can't give you this one...Was Eva's life actually the best possible life? The fact is that it was far from it. If Monica had stayed with Victor or even if Eva had lived with Victor or if Monica had given Eva up for adoption the chances are slim to none that she would have been brutally raped and terrorized by a stepbrother. As for supporting and nurturing Cary ; she had no choice. This was probably the first time she had ever seen Eva happy in years and close to being "normal". And of course her relationship with Cary evolved from Victor's intervention due to the therapy with Dr. Travis not from Monica's "mothering." Lastly she slept with Victor to escape his wrath. She turned on the tears and played damsel in distress and Victor fell for it because of his vulnerability due to the fact that YES he still loves her. The fact that Victor is a hot hunk was the icing on the cake. It certainly wasn't a sacrifice for Monica to relive her teenage fantasies with her first love!! Monica is not the victim here . Eva is and always has been the victim of Monica's lack of mothering skills.

Monica is very busy trying to meet Gideon's requirement for a quick wedding.  She is very stressed by the pressure but she succeeds.  At the reception, she faints from exhaustion.....she thinks but she is pregnant.   Baby daddy is Victor!!

 

 

REMINDER

 

Monica and Victor got together at Eva's apartment.  This was their second meeting after not seeing each other for 25 years.  Victor had returned to New York when he learned Eva had been abused by her stepbrother.  The love Victor and Monica felt for each other was obvious.

 

Most important, Monica is less then twenty years older then Eva.  Her age would be 43 or younger.

Gideon never said anything negative about Chris sr other then he always picked Christopher's side, which after all he is his father. And he was very nice to Eva at the garden party telling her how beautiful she was and could see why Gideon was smitten with her.

I don't blame him for bailing. with the negative publicity going around. I wouldn't of ever thought him for CG but Im sure he would of done a great job.

I always think its good to go over old postings. We covered so much ground. Yes there are a lot, but they do make interesting reading. Plus we always added a little humour for good measure, and the odd picture of Henry.

I have referred back to them myself on occasions.

I would have to say we probably covered every avenue in those postings.

But I would suggest a cup of coffee before you start ladies.

I had a quick thought; did Elizabeth Vidal purposely refuse to change Gideon's last name because that would deflect any negative attention from her (as the former widow of the dirtbag Geoffrey Cross) and onto Gideon?  Could she have thought that the general public would treat Gideon more kindly or be more willing to forgive?  What do you think?  What does everyone think?

I disagree.  Magdalene's mother is and old friends of Liz but you don't call just anyone when you child commits suicide.  Liz was at the hospital before Gideon & Eva arrived.  They have to be friends.

Im gona go the other way......Im thinking because Anne may have been called while she was in a session with Lizz . Because I know Anne has way too much involvement here on both sides. I mean yes they are friends everyone knows they were engaged

I have always believed that Clancy is the protector of Eva's heart by saving Gideon with an alibi.
