I wonder how much focus will be put on CBY in regards to snipets and etc after afterburn comes out.

I think it will be early May! Part of me is kinda hoping that is sometime in May since I am in my last semester of college and the last thing I need is a 400 page book I will want to read five times in one week....

Hi llurvegc, I tried to locate the "Boss" series online at my bookstore in Toronto, couldn't find them. Are they available on e-books only or maybe not released in paperback form yet?

I bought them off of both b&n for my nook and amazon for my kindle. Idk why I bought one from one company and one from another, but that's what I did. The third book is coming out in late march. They are like 400 pages each, so it will take up time between now and may when CBY will most likely come out (in my opinion).

What if she won't release the book till this game is over?

If Nathan had not been killed off from the story line then we would have a series of 10 books and not just 5. I couldn't handle more than 5 books that all cover less than four or five weeks at a time. If Nathan were still around, then there would be a constant dialogue about Eva's safety and her fighting Gideon and Monica/Stanton over the issues of body guards, tracking devices and etc. All that would make the books too similar to 50 Shades, and nothing against first time writers being extremely successful with their first book, but Sylvia Day has too many books under her belt to write story lines that go round and round and round like they did on 50 Shades. I wish we could have gotten to see an interaction between Eva and Nathan though... I hope that doesn't sound to disturbing, because I also imagine Gideon bursting into the room and taking Nathan down to China town. And even better, Eva taking him down with her Krav Manga skills. Really good discussion topic btw.

Can you remind me what investigation they asked Gideon about? I don't recall

Towards the end of the Q&A one of the viewers asked about the most recent snippet where G&E discussed the party with one another's friends. Sylvia talked about Arnaldo's opinion of Eva, which ins't very positive, and how it might be known through the rest of Gideon's circle of friends that Eva kissed someone else. I am so excited to read that scene! In fact, I might skip everything up until then and just read how things go down at the dinner.  

I had a really hard time getting into Afterburn, partly because I knew it would have an abrupt ending and it would be annoying to wait for the next one. Luckily, Aftershock comes out during my spring break so I can read them both then. I love it when authors have character cross overs in separate stories.

Yeah it is REALLY frustrating. I don't understand why everything is so secretive. She says she has a title for book 5 but she wouldn't even share that with us. I'm just going to stop hoping and maybe that way I'll just be pleasantly surprised when it finally comes out. 

Yeah, waiting to be pleasantly surprised is better than being bummed whenever I get my hopes up and nothing happens.  

This is literally so frustrating! I'm laughing at how ridiculous I am over this whole release date thing. I'm just gonna assume the book is coming out over the summer, a year between books is the norm. Also, shout out to Sylvia for that chat. It's awesome how much she wants to connect with her fans!

Soooo today is the day of the big chat and I'm pretty hopeful we will get a date soon.

Also, when we discussed SD mentioning that CBY would be her next book out, do you think that comment was made before or after aftershock was pushed back as well?

I wonder if she will give us a date on Friday since it's valentines day. She usually gives us stuff on Fridays anyways

I LOL at this post, when she said "soon" I was thinking like a week or two and it was actually three days! I feel like a lot of people are over thinking that the last books coming out together very closely in dates means more than it does. I'm thinking that it would be within a few months following CBY. I feel like Sylvia's books do so well monetary wise that having a twin release date would loose them money. I could see sylvia pushing for a close proximity in release dates to satisfy fans, since she really does appreciate what we think.

So the upside to this waiting game is the anticipation for whats going to be in the book. I keep thinking of all the things I am looking forward to in the new book. Like more interaction between G&E as a married couple, Monica planning the wedding, Eva telling Brett to move on, and lastly whose POV it will be in (!!!!). It would literally make me LOL if we opened CBY and it was from Gideon's POV. 

Did she say anything about the video being uploaded to YouTube?

I couldn't get on either, the link said there was an error. Why have this whole Q&A thing if they didn't have any new answers to the questions?

If you need another book to read while waiting for Sylvia's book, I have a wonderful recommendation: The Boss series by Abigail Barnette. The author is a pseudo name for Jennifer Armentrout who contributed to "50 Authors on 50 Shades" that Sylvia was also in. The story is very very well written and very very fun to read. The third book comes out in March, so there are two out now and a short story from the guy's p.o.v. If you like Sylvia's work you will like the Boss Series as well. 

I bet she will announce the release date on the 15th during the lQ&A thing

In the Aftershock Snippets thread, you explained your publisher asked that you not publish snippets. Is this also the case with Captivated By You? I know they're two different publishers (Cosmo Red-Hot Reads from Harlequin vs. Penguin for Crossfire.) But there have not been any Captivated snippets, so I was wondering.

Yeah, what is the dealydad with the snippets? I'm fine without the sneak peeks because the whole book is a surprise without them, but if there is a reason it would be interesting to know why there havn't been many. However, the one from Gideon's POV was so cool. I really liked being in his head and seeing what Eva was like in his eyes, Eva never gives herself credit and it was nice to see credit given without her shooing the person off.

Do ya'll have any thoughts about the whole wrist scene in EWY when Eva asks Gideon not to watch the sex vid and he puts a lot of pressure on her wrists and she feels some overwhelming calmness. I don't think that their dom/sub relationship will be shown through actual cuffs, other than those red satin ones, and collars, but their rings and physical touch will be figurative replacements for those props. 

Do you think Gideon will go to San Diego with Eva and Cary? I'm hoping he doesn't because I feel like the conversations with their fave therapist and Brett wouldn't be as good if Gideon's presence had any influence on the trip. I am really excited to meet that Dr. they talk about all the time.

Just any new plot twist that could be added into the 4th book

I don't think I can handle another plot twist or story line added to the story.
