I wish we would had some of the interaction between Gideon & Corrine from 1st Monday night dinner until he finally told her he just wanted to be friends - but not social friends.  Also their conversation after Eva came to her apt.  Of course then what would be talk about  LOL  Â

LOL and the most important part of her scheme (?) Getting him to 'ride her bare back' when we know he NEVER did that except with Eva. Â Of course he's not about to cheat of her either. Â Sorry the Corrine Plan was doomed from the beginning. Â

 Another thought on this subject, don't you wonder what he told Dr Peterson during the next Tuesday (after Nathan) appt about missing couples appt. And sorry don't recall when Eva called and canceled all the couples appts, but what was Gideon explanation to the DR about the whole relationship imploding ???

I agree with you about Corrine's image of him was pure fantasy. Â Maggie would have also known of his feelings about being around his family too. Â And with that little bit of knowledge, thought that being patience would be the key to getting him to be hers.

I was also thinking that she had been drinking wine at the Waldorf event and then probably vodka at the Kingsman event. Â And we also know she was on the anitdepressants for some period of the time before the OD. Â Â None of her behavior was that of an expectant mom so if she knew she was pregnant she didn't want this baby very much and so maybe the OD was going to solve that and get Gideon back-by-guilt-trip x2.

Think of it more like floating along on one of those 'lazy river' at the water park. Â Thinking of whatever makes your heart beat faster and your breath quicken. Â Now with that great Gideon pic in mind off we go.................... Â

Re-reading it, you might be right about the 'rings' but she does refer to her 'wedding' ring at the lunch with Cary and that could just be the diamond. Â LOL Â someday we will know for sure

In the Blackstone Affair series (which I saw recommened here, thank you very much  ) the 2nd & 3rd books both tell the story from male & female POV.  It is really different and I liked it.  Was happy to see the snippet with Gideon's POV and hoping that maybe in book 4 or 5 Gideon with starting 'talking' to Sylvia

 I'm thinking that at the time Corrine was 'dating' and engaged to Gideon, he wasn't fooling around with any other women.  I think he stated that she was his 1st real 'normal' sexual relationship.  After the end of the engagement, he started this pattern of one-night stands with random women thinking he would never be able to have a successful relationship or marriage due to his nightmares.  Not until Eva had he even spent the entire night with anyone.  As he has stated on a couple of occasions he had dreamed of a woman like Eva but never thought he would find one.   Taking all that into considertion there is no way that Corrine knows him at all whereas Magdalena has been around him all these years and knows his history with other women. Â

Also have to recall that Tatiana was out of the country at the time of Cary's attack which was same night as the fight ( E & G headed to beach right from the concert). Â While the jury is still out on whether or not she is pregnant, I'm sure there will be a showdown with Eva sometime in the next 2 books. Â

HI all ..... I'm trying to catch up and this may have stated already so sorry it restating ...  In Chp 20 when Eva has lunch with Cary she states......."grateful that I'd tucked my wedding ring into the zippered pocket of my purse."   Then later when she went back to Gideon's office she stttes ...." I unzipped the small pocket and drew out the rings inside it, slipping mine on."  Guess we will hear about the wedding ring when they get 'married' again.  So it sounds like there are 2 rings but she isnt wearing the wedding band publicly just the engagement ring, whereas our boy doesn't give a crap who knows he married to her.  Gotta love him even more  Â

Did ev1 listen the interview Sylvia posted yesterday when she she said the next 2 books will resolve Gideon's issues? Â This book answered alot of the outstanding questions but as discussed here there are still some things to resolve and Eva is determined to get EV to believe G. Â Â As for Corrine''s baby, she was drinking and partying from the moment she returned to NY so either she didn't know or she didn't care or maybe even didn't want the baby. Â When G states that he wanted to believe she didn't know, makes you wonder if they had discussed childern in the past and she wanted lots. Â Â

Well 2 hours later I'm caught up  LOL  Like eve1 else I really enjoyed this book and how both Eva (who I'm now reading as Ava  ) and Gideon have grown in their relationship.  The wedding was perfect and I loved that after he says 'Let's make if official', she simpley states 'I married Gideon Geoffrey Cross barefoot .......   I wasn't happy about the ring being EV either since she is a toxic person.  But see that it is important to Gideon and if he doesn't relate it back to his Mom then neither should Eva.  And WTF is it with EV saying Eva was taking her son away from her.  is she that dense, she is the one who drove him away !!  And once again in the prenup we are back to Gideon stating 'he would give up everthing he owned' for her.  His trip to California falls in the category ' I will f**k up that he warned her about during that same discussion.   I think it was Mrs C that made a comment about the construction site being the future office space for Eva,  I totally agree with that being her office they ended up on the couch.  I had wondered before when it would dawn on her to use her 'blood money' for a foundation or other charity work.  Great idea to include Cary in that project.  And having her own foundation would give her the independance she is so determined to achieve.   As ev1 has stated I'm really mad that she is still hanging onto the idea that she a Brett can be friends.  If Gideon let's her go to SD alone he should be 'slapped silly'.  LOL  I think that he should be the one to tell Brett about the sex tape and together should protect her from any further mental hurt.  And he does need to know they are married.  The SD trip is perfect time to tell Cary and Victor they are married too.   I didn't get the comment from Anne Lucas about Gideon f**king Deanna ( I guess that's who she was taking about) cause sure hasn't been in the 8+ weeks hes been in love with Eva.  That confused me other than her thinking it would upset Eva.  And how about Anne Lucas being the 'pot stirrer' at the end of EWY and Dr Terry doing it at the RIY.  What a pair   Ok just some random thoughts and comments,back to catching up again ...
