I do have more questions. Sylvia mentioned in all her interviews that now with the end of book 3 all the issues of Eva are covered and she is in a good place! Is she really ??

 

What about these issues ? 

 

1. The real Sex Tape, the making of it and who did know about it and is it possible to get rid of it totally  ...  

2. Brett pursuing Eva, wants to get together with her again ...

3. Eva´s attraction to Brett and the complications therefore for her and Gideon ...

3. Victor and Monika´s cheating ... it´s is not Eva´s matter but this will still worry/affect her ...

I've just finished #1 & 2 in Maya Banks' Breathless Trilogy. Not bad. I'll definitely check out the KGI series. Beth Kery is pretty good-a little BDSM. I'm curious to read some of Raine Miller and Gail McHugh's works. Also been reading more of Sylvia's stuff. BTY was my first SD book. I really like her writing.

 

I have read both of the MB Breathless books and CANNOT wait for the 3rd book.  J. Kenner's series is great.  I really love Raine Miller's Blackstone series.  She is a great author, at least I think so and she loves her fans.  There are a lot of great authors right now writing all different types of romance novels/series.

Hi Fayeth, 

Is there a big difference between the audio books and the paperbacks?  I have noticed in some postings that there seems to be slight differences.  What are the differences?  Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I have listened and read this book and I cannot recall any differences between the two.  I actually read the book on my Nook and I believe that there are some page differences between a physical book and an E-book.  Other than that I do not recall anything, but if you have specific examples I would be interested.

It was Clancy that had been tracking Eva, for her mother, using the rolex and compact. Don't think Eva has collected from Clancy yet, but I'm sure she will.

 

For some reason I always type Angus, even when I know it is Clancy.  My fingers and my brain are fighting LOL

After he (Cary) Eva banging all night (chapter 1) he figured it was Gideon.. So yea I'd agree with you the phone and watch didn't set off any alarms with him..!!

Like he said I thought Eva was thinking he would judge her if she told him she was back with Gideon so I think that's why he stayed quite so long.!

 

 

We know that Cary was aware that Gideon was back in Eva's life.  However Cary has never been one to keep his mouth shut and to not notice things.  I just find it hard to believe that Cary would notice these things and NOT say anything.  He doesn't seem to be one to hold his tongue when it comes to Eva.  Especially since he knew that it was supposed to be kept quiet, I would think that he would have said something to let Eva know that she doesn't have to hide this secret from him.

The only thing in the book with the prenup about divorce says "I agreed to to counseling and meditation in the event of a divorce" but not really how to prevent the divorce from happening.

I took the counseling and mediation as a BEFORE the divorce is filed/finalized as an additional step to keeping the relationship together.  Maybe my understanding was incorrect.

 

Not all couples are willing to take the extra steps to save a marriage and I read this as that step, again maybe that was just an incorrect interpretation.

I would like to back track a little bit and go back on two things I have been thinking about. I don't recall either of these specifically discussed earlier.

 

- We all know how much Monica (Momica) loved Eva and would clearly do anything to make her happy (or how she thinks she can make her happy) as well as keeping her safe. We also know that Monica believed Eva when she said she was abused by Nathan and took the appropriate motherly actions to get her daughter away from the situation. Monica has made no bones about the way she feels about Gideon and how she thinks that Gideon would be the perfect man for her daughter. Now that we are getting to the wedding planning, I am assuming that Victor, Monica and Stanton (I too love referring to him by his last name) are going to give Eva and Gideon the wedding of all weddings. Even though I am assuming the Stantons are far more well off than the Vidals, Monica will want some of Elizabeth's help and input with the wedding. I envision that the two woman, who should know each other well through society, will have quite a war of words with each other and hopefully Eva will/has opened up to her Mom about how Elizabeth reacted towards Gideon as a child. I would LOVE to see the two Moms go at it. I think that this could be just the opening that Eva has been hoping for.

 

- We have talked a lot about the pre-nuptial agreement on this board and torn it apart about the money for the baby and the marriage, etc. However one thing that I have been thinking about a lot recently and do not recall it being discussed was the actions that they need to take before divorcing. Call me a hopeless romantic or just a fool, but the fact that Gideon loves and is so committed to Eva to make sure that every possible step has been tried and tested before giving up and divorcing really speaks volumes to me. She fears commitment and fidelity and he took both into account in the pre-nuptial agreement.

It was my understanding as well that Gideon was arranging, or in the process of trying to make a deal with Deanna, about her getting the exclusive rights to Gideon and Eva's upcoming wedding nuptials.  Thus far no one knows that Gideon and Eva are married and I think that they intend on keeping it that way. 

 

 

Thank you for confirming my initial thoughts about the wedding pictures.  I wonder if pictures even exist from the secret wedding, if they do I am assuming they were taken by either Angus or the resort manager.

I hope that this has not come up previously, but if it has I am apologizing in advance.  I am currently on vacation and there are way too many pages that I have missed.  I read on one of the recent pages about Gideon giving the wedding pictures to Deanna in trade for the video info that was made of Eva and Brett.  My assumption was thatt Gideon meant the wedding pictures from the public wedding that is coming in the near future, NOT the private wedding that they had already.  Was my assumption incorrect, because it seems like people are thinking the pictures Gideon was talking about was the private wedding and that would seem odd since that was a secret.  Which did you think he was talking about?

Other than the obvious; money or embarrassment, what other options could there be?  It is a se* tape.  So many people put those out and sell them all the time.  Other than a little temporary embarrassment, what else could there be?  Do you have any ideas?  Thoughts?

 

It seems lately like S*x tapes are being released to make people more famous.  Eva really has nothing to gain from such video, however Brett has everything to gain.  Think...Golden is about Eva and the music video is pretty steamy already, however if a REAL video of them in action is released that could do great things for him.

No I'm sure that the tape will not get out.  That would hurt our couple too much.  I can't see Sylvia letting it go that far.

 

As far as I can tell, unless Sam (or whomever is behind this) is trying to put the video out for reasons OTHER than making money, this video will never go out.  Gideon said that they are currently trying to stop this video from being released or buy it.  There is no amount of money Gideon would not pay to buy this video, so if money is what Sam wants than Gideon will just pay it...Simple enough.

 

However if they want something other than money, then there might be a problem.

Sylvia mentioned recently that Corrine's family knew the Vidals, which makes sense, given that at one point Corrine and Gideon were engaged to be married. The engagement didn't end bitterly (not on the surface anyway). Obviously, the families move in the same social circles too. I image they stayed in friendly contact over the years and recently resumed close contact when they all were led to believe Corrine and Gideon were reunited.

 

 

 

Is it possible that Corinne's family knew that Vidals, but Gideon didn't know Corinne prior to meeting in college?  I ask because when Gideon talks to Eva about his relationship with Corinne, it is pretty clear (to me atleast) when he is talking about noticing her on campus that it was not someone he previously knew.

 

Obviously Sylvia wrote the book, so she is the authority (LOL) but I don't ever recall it being acknowledge that the two families were aquainted and it references that Magdalene's was.  I wonder if Corinne and Magdalene's families were friendly and through Magdalene's family that is how the Vidals met Corinne's family.

I will help you because this was one of my favorites too.  It is on page 190 (on my Nook) in chapter 15.  It melted my heart and got me a little teary

Gideon thinks that Terry feels for Anne what Gideon feels for Eva. So in love he'd do almost anything to protect her.

 

Anne obviously doesn't feel the same. At the very least, she's a cheating s l u t. And it would appear she might be an evil witch.

 

I cannot believe I am going to say this, but part of me feels bad for Terry.  I feel like Anne is really sick and demented and he is simply in love with her.

 

Not only did she cheat on him with Gideon, but we know (assuming it was her) that she put the moves on Cary.  I am sure that those two men are not the only ones either.  I think she has a problem with Men and her husband loves her.

More random thoughts and questions...I love listening to the books after reading them.  I am currently at the wedding of Gideon and Eva (audiobook version) and had a few things come up today in the midst of listening to the book, including the airplane section WHILE I WAS AT WORK...It was really interesting to say the least

 

-Was Angus hired by/worked for Geoffrey Cross or Chris Vidal?  Eva wonders about Angus being a "surrogate father" to Gideon and I can't help but wonderful if Gideon took his from Chris, because Angus was so important to his father. 

 

-We know that Gideon and Magdalene's Mothers were friendly, but no where does it talk about Elizabeth and Corinne's Mothers knowing each other.  It has been referenced many time that Elizabeth was at the hospital when Eva and Gideon got there, however it seems VERY strange to me that after the relationship and engagement (both seem more like a joke to me) between Gideon and Corinne, which were many years prior, that Corinne and her family still have such close contact with Gideon's.  Christopher got a text or call from Corinne white at the Time Square event and from what he said it sounds like he has been receiving many, not to mention that we know they talked at least that day since Christopher knew that Gideon saw Corinne the night before.  Does anyone else find it odd that they would all still keep in touch this many years later?

 

-I do not remember the exact age that Gideon was when Geoffrey committed suicide but I believe it was around 5.   I am assuming that they didn't tell Gideon why his Father killed himself, so I wonder at what age they did tell him and how much he really knows.  I also can't help but think that Chris had a relationship with Geoffrey prior to his death.  I feel like this because it was intentionally brought up that Ireland has to keep her relationship with her boyfriend a secret because of what Geoffrey did (the Ponzi Scheme) but when you think of it, that was many years before Ireland was born and it was done by her half Brother's Father (yes I know her Mother's Husband too) which seems odd.  I know that this event hurt a lot of people, but still that sounds really extreme.

I am not a big fan of hers, I know that a lot of people see her as Eva but I just don't see it. There is something about her that I just do not get. David Gandy though... that man is seriously swoon worthy. He is definitely fun to look at. I really hope that the producers are able to make a deal work with Henry Cavill because I have to agree that he is definitely Gideon.

Before I fell in love with Gideon Cross, I knew only about Christian Grey, who still owns part of my heart.

 

I learned a couple of things from Mr. Grey and FSOG that apply here. Maybe with Christopher, he carries so much guilt about lying as a child about Gideon's abuse that his best line of defense is offense. Meaning Christopher is so mean and abrasive (for the sake of a better word) towards Gideon because the only way to really defend himself and instead of apologizing, is to go on the offense and get to Gideon.

 

Another thing that I learned from FSOG in regards to Eva working for Cross Industries (in one way or the other) there has been speculation that Gideon has plans for the 10th floor in regards to her. Maybe Gideon is planning (like Christian did) to buy WF&L and turning it to Cross Advertising. That way Eve doesn't have to stop what she loves and miraculously now works for him. I think he values the company as well as Mark and wants Eva to still have her "work home" but have it under his umbrella.

OK I will admit that I am probably VERY far out on this one, but I wonder if maybe the addition of Eva to the Cross/Vidal family will bring them closer.  As a person Christopher really likes Eva, he has not (please forgive me if my brain is selectively forgetting things) done anything to hurt Eva.  He doesn't want Eva with Gideon, but he hasn't done anything to her in actuality.  So what if Christopher sees that Eva really loves Gideon and decides that if he is ever going to be "friendly" with his new sister-in-law that he will have to be with his brother too.  We know that Ireland adores Eva and we know that Christopher is close with Ireland.  We also know that Elizabeth has issues with Eva, but loves her son and we know that Chris (what little we know) seems to also really like Eva.  I am assuming, although I don't recall it being referenced, that Ireland and Elizabeth are somewhat close.  So if Ireland and Chris like and care about Eva, maybe they can help Elizabeth and Christopher see how happy Eva makes Gideon.

Something else just occurred to me, Gideon could have been left the ring in his father's will.  Since Gideon was still a minor when his father passed away, his mother may have been holding on to that ring, but when he begam legal age he may have received a part of his inheritence so to speak (i.e. the engagement ring).  What do you think?  What does everyone think?

That is a great possibility since most jewlery is left to children/dependents through the will.  I am assuming though that even in this case Elizabeth would have been the one actually giving it to Gideon.  If that was the case it could have been years ago and he was just holding on to it, so no coversation would have gone along with that exchange, asking who the ring was going to be given to.

 

Someone else brought up about liquidation of assets after Geoffrey was guilty to start the restituition and payback for his miss dealings.  I do not know much about any of the legalities of this kind of stuff, however after watching stuff on TV and seeing it on the news, etc., it seems like certain "family" items are allowed to be kept because the sentimental value is so high that it is something the family gets to keep, ie: jewlery or family heirlooms.  I could be completely wrong though.

What does Gideon whisper to Eva? Sylvia wrote that all would be revealed in EWY. Then more people started whispering things that Eva didn't catch. Do we find out all the whispered conversations -maybe in book 4 for sure?

 

I read in anoither forum thread this same question and the answer was "Crossfire."  In EWY we learned that word is not only Eva's safeword, but is Gideon's word that shows how he feels about her.  We knew that he had a hard time with "I love you" because he had been loved before and what he and Eva have is so much more than that, so for him "Crossfire" is his word.

As far as the trip to San Diego goes, I can see both reasons why Eva would want and would not want Gideon to go with her.  First off we have to remember that she had been wanting to go to SD with Cary since the book pretty much started and way before she and Gideon got married.  I think she would want him to go with them to not only spend more time with her Dad, which we all know is important, but to also see where she has spent the last four plus years of her life and see/learn more about her.  I however think that she might not want him to go, so that she and Cary can have a trip together (possibly their last just the two of them) and to see Dr. Travis which she states is very important for not only her but also for Cary.

 

So if Gideon doesn't go with them, him sending security would have NOTHING to do with not trusting her or thinking she is going to cheat.  When Eva and Cary went to Las Vegas, Gideon had security for her and even in NY she cannot (literally) cross the street without Angus/Raul or someone taking care of her.  Eva knows (as do we as the readers) that this is exactly how Gideon shows his love for his Wife.  He takes are of her, plans everything and does whatever he can to let her know that she is safe (his #1 priority) and taken care of.  Eva has embraced that and so should we.  That is just Gideon being Gideon.
