  1. Totally, I am saying for the 4th book I want babies and marriage.

I hope EWY ends with a marriage proposal. Like with the question proposed and that's the ending....nice cliffhanger into a 4th book.

EWY, Eva and Gideon have tons to work out in cementing their relationship.

I also want more Cary! He is sooo adorable.

Unmmm Corrine and Brett actually makes for a nice couple, no! Lol. Just joking actually

Lol.. Yesssss I agree with you ending with the proposal.! Corrine and Brett can have each other as long as they leave Gideon and Eva alone..!!

  2. Angus was in the room

Angus killed Nathan...!? I'm not so sure but it would be a nice twist..! It's just who the could have persuaded Nathan to open the door without him feeling threaten..! It doesn't make since that he would let Gideon in if Gideon had already beat the crap out of him, seems like he would have enough since to want to meet in public..! (Right)??

  3. My theories on the subject of Gideon/Corrine phone calls:

    • I firmly believe Corrine started calling him first. Who knows how long that went on -- maybe for weeks or even months before Gideon met Eva. At the time, Corrine still lived in France, but her marriage was falling apart. The calls would have started out as occasional, but as Corrine got Gideon to become a crutch, the frequency Corrine called increased.
    • Based on what Gideon later told Eva (saying it would be cruel for him to cut Corrine off when she's going through a rough time) I believe Corrine started emotionally leaning on Gideon, and the torch Corrine had been holding for years erupted back into flames. especially because they were talking again.
    • For a time, Gideon returned the calls regularly, both for friendship's sake and because underneath, he felt guilty knowing Corrine's marriage failed because she'd married Giroux on the rebound.
    • Corrine stepped up the frequency to daily, including calling Gideon's home and calling his cell phone during times she'd be likely to reach him -- nights and weekends.
    • By pure chance, she called his cell phone the Saturday night he was with Eva on their first date at the advocacy dinner. Gideon had met Eva only the week before, and Corrine may have already heard him mention Eva. When Gideon spoke with Corrine later that night, he might have said he was developing feelings for this new woman (Eva) he'd met at the Crossfire.
    • A couple of days later (Monday) Gideon and Eva officially became a full couple and he began spending all his free time with Eva. Thus he would have spoken with Corrine rarely, if at all, anymore. So he told Eva the truth when he made it plain to her he wasn't talking with Corrine regularly because he was busy -- busy with Eva.
    • The dramatic drop in getting Gideon on the phone coupled with online pictures of Gideon and Eva as a couple is what made Corrine decide to move back to New York and size up the competition.
Now here's something I wonder. Based on all the serious trouble Corrine's re-appearance caused between Eva and Gideon, did he in the ensuing weeks barely speak with Corrine? Not wean her off completely like Eva asked him to when they talked back at her place (after Eva left the dinner.) However, barely talking with Corrine, knowing he couldn't maintain any sort of friendship with Corrine, due to Eva's insecurity/jealousy problem?

Then .... a couple of weeks later when Gideon decided to use Corrine as his cover, Gideon would have needed to initiate calls to ask Corrine out. He had to have been the one making all the plans to get together, because he was staging photo opportunities and thus absolutely had to be certain she'd go to a particular place (restaurant, party) with him.

Once Corrine firmly became his cover story for the cops, had he started returning her phone calls every single day, and actually calling her daily as well? So that the cops looking at lists of phone numbers for incoming and outgoing calls to his various phones would see proof he and Corrine were talking daily, even several times daily, like one would expect for a newly-serious romantic couple?

Gideon never dared phone Eva period after she phoned his cell to break up with him. Detective Graves saw him devastated by that phone call, and a quick check of phone records would have revealed the incoming call to his cell that Saturday morning came from Eva's home land line. Beyond making sure the cops never could directly link another phone call between him and Eva, did Gideon as part of putting on his now-desperate act, give the cops something to see on his phone records -- lots of calls with Corrine in the past few weeks?

I believe this very thing..! Good thinking..!!

  4. I think we may be wasting our time on these theories about how it all went down because I just don't think we will ever know the details because as someone mentioned earlier I don't think Gideon will ever divulge the details of how it all went down.

I've thought this same thing.! I don't think Gideon is going to tell Eva the detail..! I want to know tho..! Lol

  5. OMG!!!! I am in Gideon & Eva Heaven!!!

Totally happiness as I want a wedding and babies for these two. I want to go through the entire process and not no weird last chapter saying "5-years later..." Lol.

Babies and a wedding (not necessarily in that same order) is the next logically step for these lovers. And I need more Cary as well!!!

KiMa: no babies in EWY..! I guess probably marriage.. I say this because someone ask SD about marriage and babies and she said No Babies yet, not in EWY...! So wedding bells we may get in EWY..! (Hopefully)

  6. My immediate thought was NC or a new hotel a Fu@@ Pad just for them..! I thought about it being Gideon's penthouse but why the ribbon.? And if they are keeping cary in the dark what will eva tell cary about where she is.!? When you see something like that it usually repersents guest... (I'm guessing)..!! Maybe it has nothing to do with the two of them.

  7. Hi barbiemitch,

I think that Gideon might have said something to Eva.  I think that they talked a little bit.  I don't think that they had an indepth conversation, no, but I do believe that he said something to her.  It wouldn't make sense for Gideon to just say nothing.

I am personally not on Team Gideon killed Nathan but I do believe that Gideon did say something comforting to Eva and then sent her on her way.  Now what exactly, if anything, Gideon said, we will have to wait until June 4th to find out.  What do you think?  What does everyone think?  :)

GiGi, I'm not sure what #team I'm on..! In a way I think gideon did kill Nathan himself because like detective Graves said "it's personal.. You're personal" but on the other hand I don't think he did it, but he had knowledge of it and what went down.!! I truly think its going to be silent communication between Gideon and Eva, that it would be one of those things they don't talk about..! I don't think we will get the actual story of how the murder happen..! (Although I hope we do)

  8. I think the new snippets all seem to show Gideon sleeping through the night with Eva. I think this is because Gideon's meds have finally started to take effect. I think he was probably prescribed an antidepressant which takes 3 to 4 weeks to kick in as opposed to a typical sleeping pill but I also think that since the Nathan problem has gone away he doesn't seem to have the vengeful nightmares that I think Eva's situation triggered. what do you all think?

One thing is sure.. He needed to feel her close to him..!!

  9. Oh he'll try, but I doubt he'd ever succeed. I think Magdalene was a unique case. He had much better access to Magdalene (families are close and mothers are best friends) -- and Gideon wouldn't have been at any family gatherings. Creepy Christopher probably spent years slowly wearing Magdalene down as Magdalene put up with years of knowing Gideon was getting laid elsewhere while Magdalene was keeping herself unattached.

What would be her payback when she finally realizes that the time she was spending gideon was for another reason and not for them to rekindle what they had..! Surely she's going to be pi$$ed that Gideon doesn't want her..! She's a little sneaky wench and shell have something up that sleeve of hers.!!

  10. After this is over, there's no way Gideon and Corrine can remain friends.

For one thing, if Corrine is ever going to finally move beyond her 10-year-long obsession, she's got to literally as well as figuratively leave Gideon behind. She'll never get over him if she's exposed to physical nearness of him, the sight of him from a distance in New York, even the sound of his voice over the phone. He's like a an addictive drug to her, and she's got to abstain forever moving forward as her only hope of recovery from a broken heart and shattered dreams.

More importantly, even if Gideon finds it in his heart to forgive Corrine for all the pain she caused, he'll never forget what she did. A real friend would have been happy he'd found love with Eva and bowed out gracefully (or even never come back to begin with). Corrine would have wished for him his "happily ever after." Instead, Corrine tried to destroy Eva's love for him in order to get Eva out of the way forever so Corrine could (try) to have Gideon all to her desperately selfish self.

Not that Corrine had any way of knowing it, but Eva bears horrific mental and emotional scars inside. As a result, Eva is messed up -- through the miracle of years of good therapy, Eva has become at least capable of being able to love. Still, Eva has serious issues (and on some level always will). When she fell in love with Gideon and vice versa all the pain inside both activated as well and both of them struggled with everything from their old nightmares being triggered back into frequency to their terrors of losing people turned raging at times.

All Corrine saw was that Eva is jealous and insecure. She deliberately manipulated both. The result could have been far worse than Eva simply pulling her final runner on Gideon. Cary himself feared the relationship could have turned into the thing that messed Eva up permanently. It'll be a miracle if Gideon, once he finally comes to fully understand that, could ever forgive Corrine. He'd be a fool to ever trust Corrine around Eva again.

Is Corrine to smart to turn to Christopher..? Do you think chris would do to her what he did to Magdalena if given the chance.?

  11. I really liked the Bad Boy Series, I have read that as well as others by M. Leighton and I enjoyed the books a lot for what it is worth.  I have found quite a few authors that I have also enjoyed reading their books.  KA Robinson, J Kenner, Sydney Landon. Cora Carmack, Raine Miller and Maya Banks (the 2nd of 3rd in the series I am reading is being released on Tuesday) just to name a few :)

I love cash & Nash to..! I saw Maya Bank on the audible I'll check her out now..!

  12. I'll check them out. I have pretty much just about read all her other books (getting pretty close). Seven Years of Sin is pretty great and also Ask for It.

I always go back to Gideon & Eva daily and obsessively at that. I have also purchases BTW & RIY on audio and loving it :)

Beth Kerry's Francesa & Ian's story also was okay. And Shannon McKenna is an awesome writer as well!

I will check those out.! Your not the only person to tell me Seven Years To Sin was great so I'm going to try to read it on spring vacation In 2 weeks before Samantha Youngs "Down London Road" comes out.!
