 You're going to love the books on Audible. There's so much you pick up by listening that jumps out while being read aloud!!!!

 

One of the reasons I know the books so well is I've both listened and read. I read first, then listened while I was out walking/jogging.

I love them on audible..! I think I've listen to them 50 times already. I use the app on my iphone and plug the USB in and listen to it full blast in the car sometimes..!!

I want to read that book because I use to live in Dublin as a kid. Never read a synopsis though.

 

I cannot read/listen audiobooks because I can never digest it. I have to read it myself to understand and remember what I read.

I have to read the books before I listen to them too..! I plan on reading EWY and then listening to it while I read it again when it comes out..!! Lol

You ladies are really going in on the books..! I have read and read and even brought them on audible.! I'm just looking at everyone's opinions and going from there but I do think some things won't be answered in EWY it will still be a guessing game or just something that's going to be left up to the imagination!

The one thing I'm looking for is marriage between Ace and Eva! SD tweeted someone that asked if they got married and had babies in EWY and she said no babies yet there's more room for them to grow before babies come in the picture.! So hopefully that will happen..!! In the meantime I'm enjoying reading everyone's opinion!!!

Ok so, Sylvia said the book picks up right where it left off..! So I don't think thoses are Christmas presents so to speak..! Because when RIY ended it was just July.! Don't think the first chapter takes up a full 5 months..! So what kind of gifts could they be..!!?

If Victor had known while he was in New York that his daughter had been systematically raped for four years as a child right under Monica's nose, no way would he have been so sweet and starry-eyed with Monica when he ran into her at Eva's apartment. No way. Besides, Victor arrived at LaGuardia Airport very early the next morning after Nathan's murder. Victor's got an alibi -- and the investigation was still in its earliest stages during the weekend Victor was there. No way would the cops have spoken to Victor yet, not when they were still working their way down the suspect list (at that point, the sole person they had definitely crossed off was Eva herself.)I do think the timing of Victor's visit ended up being fate, because he ended up being right there when the homicide detectives first approached Eva and Gideon at Eva's apartment. He saw Eva do something that immediately excluded her as a suspect (her honest reaction she had no idea Nathan had been in New York.) And he also saw Gideon was hiding things from Eva: 1. Gideon had known about Nathan being in New York.  2. Gideon didn't want Eva to know where he'd been on Thursday. Overnight by using the Internet, Victor already figured out the second secret - behind Eva's back on Thursday night, Gideon had been partying with the ex-fiancee that the tabloids claimed Gideon had suddenly started seeing again a few days before.My theory -- I'm certain that since then (in the couple of weeks that passed after Nathan died, up to the end of Reflected), Victor has been digging hard in the background from out in California. He's figured out Eva had no role in Nathan's death. He's likely already put together the fact Barker had been Monica's first husband (and thus Victor could figure out how long Nathan had been Eva's stepbrother starting when she was a little girl up to her early teens.) However, he's probably been stymied thus far to get the whole story out of the detectives about Nathan having been in New York, what that had to do with Gideon, and most importantly -- have the cops come close yet to solving the case. I'll bet he'll have gotten no straight answers (yet) out of Graves and her partner. Gideon wouldn't have even returned any phone calls Victor tried making. I'll bet Victor has even begun trying to reach Monica by now, but Monica won't return his calls either.Under my theory that Detective Graves is trying to use Eva to trap Gideon, I think Graves is going to start selectively feeding Victor info early in the Entwined story in the hopes that he will persuade Eva to cooperate with the police. For all we know, right after Graves finished talking to Eva at Krav Maga at the very end of Reflected, Graves picked up the phone to call Victor the instant Eva went running straight to Gideon's apartment. Graves has begun grasping at straws, and she'll try anything that might help her get Gideon. Including calling in Eva's father.

The only thing about this is, If detective Graves told Victor what was going on, and assuming he had know idea what Nathan did to Eva, I really really doubt Victor at that point would talk Eva into turning on Gideon..! He (Gideon) killed the man that unbeknownst to him repeatedly raped his daughter (his only child) for four years.! I think Victor would join the Gideon club on this one..!

Mrs. Crossfire: I am readng the quote on your avatar and wondering when Gideon says: "......give up everything I own for you....." Will Gideon have to give up everything he own to be with Eva?He has already killed for her...

I don't think they are going to end up at that point..! But if they did Eva has a pretty penny that they could live off.! I think she would use it in the case that Gideon killed Nathan for her and he gave up or lost everything..!

I think Victor had an inkling but I don't think he knew.! Remember Nathan was in NY before Eva and Cary went to Vegas and Gideon went to Arizona. If Victor thought Nathan was that much of a threat to Eva then why wait almost 2 weeks to get to NY..?

I think Eva almost wanting to pass out when the detectives ask her about Nathan is what may prompt Victor to look into Nathan and then he's going to find the truth.! Which will lead him to finding out about the investigation to Gideon, Victor said he couldn't get a read on Gideon that night but I think if he finds out the truth ( if Gideon really did kill Nathan) that will close the bridge between the two men. at that point he will know Gideon is protecting Eva rather then invading her privacy.

I like the Brett idea. Remember he did an interview saying that there really was an Eva out there and he was hoping to reconnect with her..!! Niice thinking KiMa.. I was thinking maybe Eva would start to communicate with Brett but not lead him on, just as an distraction as Gideon is using Corrine into the dust clears..!!

One of the clues is "a snapshot of life back then" "a view of something brief" ..! Not sure what it could be.!

Hmmmmm...!! This is interesting..! "Press" chapter one..! For some strange reason I don't think it's Gideon and Eva getting married I don't think that would happen in the first chapter..!! I do however think they will be getting married in EWY.! Some tweeted Sylvia and ask if the get married and have babies in EWY and her response was "They Have A Long Time Before Babies come in the Picture.! Soooo..!!

Victor Reyes was an Oceanside,Ca street cop which was why I'd chosen SdSu. My mom had been going through a rough patch with husband number two and I'd been in a rebellious phase, making my own life as I tried to forget what Nathan had done to me for so long. Moving out of my mom's suffocating orbit had been of the best decision I'd ever made. My dad's quietly unshakeable love for me, his only child had changed my life. He gave me much-needed freedom within clearly defined limits and arranged for me to see Dr Travis, which lead to the start of my long journey to recovery and my friendship with Cary. My relationship with my mom was rocky and it was just so easy with my dad.!

I think what prompt Cary to follow the Magdalene is she was probably so upset when she came out the house seeing Giedon with Eva in the library she ran to Christopher, Cary knowing Eva went in the house with Giedon and about Magdalene being b!+€hy to Eva he wanted to see what she was upset by, and he just happen to witness what was going on between Christopher and her..!

Just My Thoughts..!!

You ladies have me going Gideon crazy so I had to re-order the books only this time I order them on audio.com so I can hear anything I may have missed..'

One thing I didn't catch reading was , did Eva not knowingly meet Dr Lucas wife at the advocacy center dinner.? After Gideon gave his speech and Eva stood to clap " Your a Very Fortunate Young Lady... I turned to look at the lady who spoke, a lovely REDHEAD who appeared to be in her early forties.. We're just friends...!! Her serene smile somehow manage to argue with me..!!

I won't say Trey and Magdalene are tied only because at least Trey knows that Cary has feelings for him, Gideon does not have those feelings for magdalene at all.. She was dreaming of him "caring" for her.

I am not suggesting that Gideon had Corinne kill Nathan. I was just wondering how Corinne would have know how to pick Nathan out of a crowd. What motive would Corinne have to kill Nathan? Did Nathan just pick Corinne off the street, follow her somewhere and try to attack her? Did he use his charms to lure her somewhere and then attack her? What? If you can come up with the ideas, I am all ears.

I think that Corinne showed up at the Crossfire Building looking to meet with Gideon but was wasn't allowed to meet with Gideon (for whatever reason) and maybe on her way out of the building she saw Eva and knew that she could get to her by making her jealous. So Corinne musses her self up a little, paints the "I had a good time look" on her face and walks out the door smugly. I am saying this strictly from a speculative point of view. Sylvia did not specifically write that is what Corinne did. That is why this such a good series. It allows the reader's imagination to flourish. What do you think?

This what I was trying to say.! not that I misunderstood KiMa point..! If Nathan left Gideon's office with blood on him (the blood on Gideon's shirt came from him) what would make Corrine hook up with him..! KiMa has a point but Gideon had dinner with Corrine that Monday when him and Eva came back from NC, Nathan was still alive at that point so how would Corrine persuade Gideon to have dinner with her, knowing that Eva would have fit..! If KiMa theory is true Corrine would have had tell Gideon what was going on in order to get him to go with the flow...??

Yeah well sleeping with Christopher didn't get her any closer to Gideon then she was if she hadn't slept with Chris!! Poor girl!!

So Ms Magdalene

I doubt she'll be starting any trouble in EWY. Her hopes and dreams of being with Gideon are long gone..! What I don't understand is Eva say's Christopher " knew her body well" so they must have been sleeping together for a while, why would she take that chance, not even knowing if Christopher would use that against her for revenge with Gideon..!

Clearly the girl is dumb...!
