I really doubt Gideon would tell Corrine what Nathan did to Eva, so what reason would Gideon give Corrine for killing Nathan?

Eva pretty much off Elizabeth so I don't think she would have anything more to say to Eva let alone explain to her why she did what she did.

She said in reflected that she wasn't going to talk to Christopher about it because he'd been so young at the time..!!

But Dr Lucas started with her at the hospital and I think Eva is going to keep digging with him into he says something!

Stanton had nothing to hide from the beginning so it wouldn't matter what the detectives saw on his security tapes..! After Eva and Christopher Jr had lunch, the security at crossfire pulled her aside to go in the security room with Gideon, she asked him "why are you in here" he responded "Plausible Deniability" so we know he's hiding and erasing something..!!

Gideon said that Dr Lucas alienated him from his family..!! So I'm guessing he played some sort of role in examining Gideon after the whole abuse situation came up..!! I just think it was Christopher Sr that covered it up..!! **sighs**

Ok, I said before If Nathan knew Eva was seeing Gideon why would he attack Cary and say " stay away from her"? The detectives said there were lots of pictures in Nathan's room of Cary..!! So Maybe...... Just maybe when Nathan went to see Gideon the time Monica saw him leaving the crossfire Gideon may have lied to Nathan and said it was Cary seeing her, or something to the likes of that to make him want to attack Cary...!! I just don't understand why Nathan would go back to the crossfire if Gideon and him got into a physical altercation before.. ( did Gideon call him there to say he wasn't seeing Eva anymore)? I do think once Gideon knew Nathan was in New York he had someone keeping tabs on him..!

I agree Mrs. C!  I think Gideon's motive for obtaining financial control of Vidal Records is for revenge against Christopher Sr.

 

My theory: his stepfather used money to sweep the whole sexual abuse situation under the rug as a deep, dark secret no official outsiders were ever to find out about. One of the myriad ways Gideon was victimized was financially. Because Christopher Sr. had the money, he had the power - over Gideon, over Gideon's mother, over every adult Gideon came into contact with under that roof.

 

So now Gideon's the one holding the money power. Why would he invest in the Vidal Records? To help his family? Not!!! He can't stand his family. Why would he gain majority ownership of Vidal Records? So that anytime he felt like it, he could start dismantling the company.

 

Gideon's one of the richest men in the world. He can easily afford to take a loss on some subsidiary company he has. It wouldn't damage him -- but it would financially destroy Christopher Sr., and along with him Gideon's mother, Elizabeth Vidal, and his half-brother, Christopher Jr. Think about how Christopher Sr. must squirm knowing that any time Gideon wants to, he can ruin him. And I'll bet the reason Gideon hasn't done so yet is because the mere holding of that power is the revenge.

 

There is a reason why Sylvia has made Eva curious about why Gideon controls Vidal Records. Near the end of Reflected, (right after she has lunch with Christopher Jr.) Eva even says to herself she wants to ask Gideon about it. I think the reason Sylvia slipped that into the story is because now that Gideon is finally willing to talk about the dark past that includes his family, in Entwined, Eva's going to ask him why he gained control of the Vidal family business. And what Gideon tells her is going to reveal exactly how the abuse went down and how it was subsequently covered up.

I Put On The Other Post I Do NOT Think It was Christopher Sr..!! I think it was his money that did the damage to cover everything up, I also think that's why Gideon has his owners share in Vidal Records, for damage control when the time is right..!

I don't think it was Christopher Sr.. I think it was his money that may have paid off the doctors to say that nothing had happen to Gideon. Elizabeth was pregnant and already stressed between dealing with what Gideon's dad had done and now dealing with young Gideon acting out.! Surley a mother wouldn't stay because off the money with a man that may have abused her son.. Like Monica she'd benefit from it..!! Just my thoughts....!!!

Well I Sure Hope The Date Don't Change Because I Already Took The Day Off, Because At 12:01 I wanna be reading EWY and I don't care if takes me till 5am to do so.....!!

Another thing that bothers me is that when Cary got attacked Monica said "Cary was told to leave her alone, whoever her is".! So this brings me question,

If Nathan knew about Gideon and Eva why would he attack Cary and say Leave Her Alone.?

but in the book they switched drivers.  Thanks for the reply.  Maybe Ms. Day will reply also.

Now that Nathan's dead, Christopher is about the only halfway nasty villain left among the current cast of characters. Well, him and maybe Dr. Lucas.  

 

Someone's got to take over as chief protagonist for Entwined. My first bet is it'll be Detective Shelly Graves, who will try to take down Gideon. Another possibility, delving into Gideon's past, would be the pedophile who abused him: where is that guy now.

 

But I can also see Christopher and Lucas harassing Eva some more in their attempts to twist Gideon's tail. Christopher especially could turn nasty - we've seen what he pulled with Magdalene. Eva taking him to lunch near the end of Reflected may come back to haunt, because I can envision Christopher seeing that as an opening to start chasing her.

GiGi I don't think the fire was at the hotel Nathan was staying at. It was at the hotel where Gideon had arranged the Kingsman Vodka Party. I also think he chose this hotel because if Eva had seen the pictures from the press of him and Corinne and learned that there was a fire there she wouldn't think he took her up to room or reopened the Fpad as she called it. So the Fire had a double meaning..... At least I think...!!!

My guess is Monica may have known that Gideon had played a part in Nathan's death, I say this because when Eva asked Monica if Stanton arranged the murder Monica said "no his mind doesn't work like that" but she NEVER asked Eva if she thought Gideon may have played a part in murder..!!!!

One of the questions that I had, Is Eva going to tell Gideon that Dr Lucas talked to her in the hospital which in return made her question him more.?

I think more guys should read these books and see how the men 'take care' of their women....

Hello Everyone

I'm new to the forum but I have been reading all the post. I have to say with everyone's opinion I think you all probably put EWY in prospective in one way or another. I did tweet SD this morning about a 4th book..! She said she doesn't want to discuss it as of yet. I'm so hoping there is a 4th book as long as the story doesn't get boring like the last book of FSOG. I look forward to chatting with you all in the coming months before and after the release of EWY.! :)
