What I also like is, now she is beginning to understand about his dreams, she is gently coaxing him to talk about how they appear to him. I like how she tends to him after one of these nightmares. In this case, talking to him till he fell asleep, previously she bathed him. She knows about nightmares herself, but Gideons take on a different form, with him fighting back. Which poses a threat to Eva.

Up to now, Gideon has just tolerated the nightmares, forfeiting any kind of relationship because of them. Eva wants to help him work through them, she wants him healthy and whole again. I found this moment they had really emotional. She was so tender with him, holding him, making him feel safe.

She had lunch with Cary. After work she met JFG. When she left him, Angus took her shopping to get Gideon a wedding band. When she returned to his office she took hers out, then his, and gave it to him.

I'm getting a bit of a reputation here. Lol

I absolutely love this chapter, when their snuggled up together on the couch. Both drifting off to sleep, Gideon starts having a nightmare. She awakens him, him feeling guilty about falling asleep next to her. Eva goes to get his medication and comforter. When she asks what he was dreaming about, he says he wishes it was about her. When asked what it would be like, Gideon replies, "it would be a cloudless day on a Caribbean beach, with a cabana on white sands" with her naked. She continues to talk to him till he falls asleep. This was so beautiful, she loves him so much.

  Gideon wants Eva to be able to control any situation where sex is concerned, by using her safeword. With Nathan she lost the right to say no, she lost the control. Gideon knows that when having sex, trying something new, could trigger her, he would be devastated if he was responsible for that situation. It could destroy them. So he always makes sure, she is in the right mindset, and reminds her of her safe-word.

  I took it to mean about his sexuality. Especially as he might have dabbled with Cary.

Most definitely. Eva stated that she hated thinking about Gideon f*cking other women, can you imagine him actually seeing Eva and Brett with his own eyes, the horror.

Last night, we dabble with the theory that Eva could be abducted. If this was the case, wouldn't it be good if that part of the story was told from Gideons POV. Could you imagine the turmoil and devastation he would go through. To actually get inside his head, knowing his thoughts and learning about his pain firsthand.We have all been through the wringer with our lovers, following their journey, with all the angst and heartbreak. This would take it up a notch.
