I am so with you ladies on this one. There is a lot more about Clancy in this book. Comments like "you'll be ok!" and when asked how far he would go to protect his wife, his reply was "how far wouldn't I go!" Why else would we be told about Clancys FBI connections. My money's on Clancy. I have to keep reminding myself, this is a romance story, but unfortunately it keeps straying off the path!

Sheena. You made a comment about the burner phone, in another thread. In chapter 11 page 157, Gideon rings Eva while she is lunching with Megumi, to tell her the police have a suspect. Obviously Angus has passed the phone over. Two pages on Eva texts Gideon on way home saying can you talk, because she is going back to the apartment to get ready for picking Victor up. He phones her when he is there. I reckon Gideon has the phone most of the time, Angus when he is in meetings etc. :)

I still keep going back to Bared, regarding Eva's abuse, and Gideons warning to destroy any journalist that prints her story. Deanna is a digger. There are unfinished promises to keep. She has her connections, someone is feeding that weed, including Gideon, he can be such a plank! Her assumptions are not always correct, Eva was never part of the orgy, who told her she was? How did she know about Ian? I'm still saying Lucas started the ball rolling.

I love this chapter because Eva wants total control over Gideon. Just wanting him to enjoy himself, letting himself go, so she can watch him fall apart when he has an org*sm, which is what he normally does to her. He asks her to make him understand why she needs this. "I love those moments after you've seen to me and your chasing your own org*sm. when your rhythm and focus changes, and you get ferocious. I know your thinking about how good it feels and how hot you are and how hard your going to come. It makes me feel so good to get you that worked up. I want a whole night of feeling like that. He agrees to the night, with the stipulation that he gets the next entire weekend. Phew!

Unfortunately, when Gideon took off to California Gideon regressed back to his secretive ways to protect Eva, when dealing with this. He retreats back into his shell, closing all out. It's his way of dealing with things, and Eva has picked up on this, albeit it sucks.

Totally agree. They both have jealousy issues. Hating themselves when they imagine each other with someone else. Yes they have both had bad dates, both regretting it, neither need physically being reminded of their dark times. They need to move forward, not constantly being reminded of their pasts(ditch the exes). Who can honestly say, they wouldn't have a problem seeing their other half in a sex tape with an ex, doing crazy things. It would crucify you.

After all, she did make a comment about going back to California, to the theme parks where she went when she was young, when the detectives turned up at Eva's on the Friday. But I think there has been some conversations going on between Victor and Graves. Graves is very cryptic with her comments, sending you in an entirely different direction. I'm very wary of her. I'm not sure we will find out details, as Victor knows now.

I love how attentive Gideon is in this chapter. He will not put the moves on Eva, until he knows she is feeling better and in the right frame of mind, after her blow out with the vortex(Monica ). We have Deanna, who's like a dog with a bone, not taking no for an answer. Eva finds out that Gideon is being sued by Ian, part of the orgy scene from Reflected, who Gideon hit. Plus the fight with Brett, and did Gideon have anything to do with Carys beating. Deanna asks Eva if she was afraid of Gideon, being in an abusive relationship. Twice now Gideon has asked Angus to remove Eva when a situation has got ugly concerning Gideon fighting. Gideon doesn't want Eva to see him in this situation.

Hi Gigi As much as Gideon loathes or is repulsed(for what reason we don't know yet, apart from her not believing him over his abuse) by his mother, he has stated that the reason he bailed out Vidal records, was because he didn't want her to be in financial crisis ever again. He would dismantle Chris jnr first. He(Gideon)still honours possibly loves his mother. It's his little touches making him vulnerable, that say so much. Still a little boy in big boys clothes, but a lot of healing to be done.
