Most definitely. Apart from the bedroom, they have to be equals, he has bridges to build, to gain her trust. He not only emotionally manipulated her(Eva) but Corinne did too. This girl was put through the wringer. It's a wonder she can trust anybody. Her mother, Gideon, and Stanton, all need chewing out by Eva. it's a good thing she has Cary.

Raul also turned up at Eva's place in the early hours of Friday, to take her to the airport to pick up her dad. She refused, choosing to go by taxi. Was Angus still with Gideon? I would assume so, possibly giving him support, after Gideon had killed Nathan. Gideon, would probably be feeling wretched at what he had done? Taking someone else's life, you don't do lightly. Even if they are scum. (Sorry Nathan no other word for you).

Agreed. I agree that his plan, although premeditated, was hastily thrown together, because of Carys beating. It was a shame(not quite he right word)he didn't think it through from start to finish. He definitely forgot to engage brain.

This last part of the book is so heartbreaking. It would have been better for Eva if Gideon had never turned up at all. To think it was get it out of your system sex, was just so insulting and hurtful at best. She must have felt used, because Gideon was now back with the love of his life Corinne. Eva's self esteem must have been shot to pieces. He was hurting because we know different. But a swift kick in the wedding tackle was in order! His deceit and callousness was unbelieveable.

I think he is exacting his revenge on (his mother)brunettes by sc*ewing them and casting them aside (abandoning them) like his mother did him. I did go more into it if you can find my post. Mummy also seems to have a penchant for young men, hence the comment to Elizabeth by Gideon at the garden party. Not long now. :)

Reading Bared again, Eva was submitting to Gideon as early as page 26, in the meeting for Kingsman vodka. Cross told her to sit. Mark gave a brief nod, but I was already lowering into the chair at Cross's command, my body obeying instinctively . Not noticed that before.
