I think we agree, Eva doesn't have enough info on Chris Sr. to really form a decision... But she is definitely watching and gathering information :-)

He looks the part. Now can he act? And let's hope he can negotiate more money than they wanted to pay Charlie. Geez, that is nothing.

I don't think Gideon minds Eva looking at Cary. I think Gideon feels connected to Eva when they are looking into each others eyes. I think Gideon also has a better grasp on the situation or can judge how Eva is feeling/thinking when he is looking into her eyes.

Agree. I think all the negativity was why he is gone. Really a shame for him. Just read Henry is a top contender. Again. So I am conflicted cause if he is CG then he will never be Gideon.

Monica is very busy trying to meet Gideon's requirement for a quick wedding. She is very stressed by the pressure but she succeeds. At the reception, she faints from exhaustion.....she thinks but she is pregnant. Baby daddy is Victor!!

REMINDER

Monica and Victor got together at Eva's apartment. This was their second meeting after not seeing each other for 25 years. Victor had returned to New York when he learned Eva had been abused by her stepbrother. The love Victor and Monica felt for each other was obvious.

Most important, Monica is less then twenty years older then Eva. Her age would be 43 or younger.

Sorry, I seriously doubt Monica is pregnant. I have a feeling Monica is either on birth control or she has had a tubal ligation or hysterectomy. Look at how concerned about her calories and figure. She is NOT going to risk that for a second unplanned pregnancy.

I think that Cary will temper his hurt with his concern for Eva and her relationship with Gideon. Cary has seen Gideon's nightmares first hand and the effect that it has had on Eva. I think that if anything he will be more worried for her personal safety than feel slighted about not having been invited to a surprise personal wedding. What do you think? What does everyone think?

I think that may be an initial reaction, but Cary is observant and I bet he will have noticed or will notice the positive changes in the relationship and interactions between Gideon and Eva. Also Cary has said he will support Eva's choices as long as she is happy.

Hi jmhope, I remember Eva looking up Anne/her husband on google so if facing her while dancing she might have spotted her...but I think it was mentioned that she grew her hair longer & maybe Cary was facing Eva & not Anne and the fact that it could be Anne didn't register with Eva until later.

And as far as "the mistakes"...sorry, sometimes Sylvia leaves things to our imagination...I don't have any answers for you on this either.

My thoughts on the "learning from mistakes line" have to do with their actions at this function compared to the past functions they attended together. At this function Eva stayed with Gideon when get was talking business instead of "running off". Also Gideon stayed with Eva when she was with her bosses. Then they danced together. No disappearing or searching for each other. And they communicated with each other when they did leave the other for something.

I can see Chris Sr. not wanting to take sides against his sons. He already knows that Jr has jealousy issues when it comes to Gideon and he probably didn't want to feed that fire. As for being involved, I'd say he let Elizabeth handle a lot of the issues with the children while he was busy being music industry mogul. I do not think that is unusual and so far he has not given us a reason to dislike him.. Eva seemed to like him. And he clearly respects Gideon's business acumen.

I love Angus.

It will be interesting to learn more about him. We know he drove Gideon to school when he worked for Chris Vidal and we know Gideon hired him away from Vidal when Gideon was 20. Could he have known about Hugh's abuse of Gideon and, therefore, stepped in to protect him? Will Angus have a family or do you think he is only dedicated to Gideon and through him to Eva?

I hope Gideon talks about his relationship with Angus. Does Gideon see him as a father figure, a friend or a trusted employee?

Are there any reactions to Chris as a father?

Gideon says he refuses to take sides when Gideon and Christopher disagree in the business.

I do not think Gideon has a strong, competent father figure in his life.

I know Victor has his flaws but can he serve in that capacity? Victor did step up for Eva in her later life. Cary likes him too.

There have been times when I do wonder what time Chris Sr. Played as an adult in the life of Gideon. He seems to try (by being neutral - not taking sides) but he also seems to not be an involved parent?

Yes, fsumom, corporate jet to San Diego. Perhaps the Eva Cross labelled luggage will go OR one of the staff will call Eva "Mrs Cross" and let the cat out of the bag....to Cary at least. If the marriage is known, it may interfere with Gideon's negotiations regarding the scandalous photos and video.

Personally I think the marriage may help in negotiations for the video, "its my wife and I want the video because..."

And for some reason I think Cary will get it about the private wedding. He may be hurt initially that Eva didn't tell him first, but I see him being game to keep a secret with his best friend and her hubby.

It will be a beautiful ceremony.

I hope Victor will walk Eva down the isle and give Eva away to Gideon.

I also hope Carry will be a part of the wedding, either the man of honor or one of the grooms men.

I also think Ireland will be a part of the wedding too.

I have always thought something odd was happening with Megumi being out ill. Will told Eva Megumi reports to Daphne for everything and Daphne said Megumi sounded awful.

Hopefully Lacy was just out of town and Megumi had her cell off or on silent and she just didn't listen to the voicemails yet cause she has the flu or something. Unless Michael became obsessive and controlling and he kidnapped her. :-(

I was listening to the audio book version of BTY today while cleaning house. I noticed something new in the description of the guy (Daniel) at the poolside bar in Vegas. (or I think it was that character... I may have to re listen to that part of the book) It seems as if he may be of Russian heritage. He had blonde hair and a soft accent. I'm curious if he has ties to the moffia / mob in EWY, but we didn't realize it at the time? Maybe he was a scout for the kidnapping ring? (maybe I'm overthinking it as I just watched the movie "Taken" recently)

When we get the definite publication date I think we should start the chapter a day reread project to boost our spirits what duz everyone think??

I agree that Elizabeth needs to admit her mistakes, she needs to believe in Gideon and ask for forgiveness. I think that Eva will help because she will be there for Gideon, he listens to her. Plus I think there may be a situation where Elizabeth confronts Eva and Gideon comes in on it , this will have him laying down an ultimatum to his mom. Maybe this will open Elizabeth's eyes to the fact that she needs to listen and talk to Gideon if she wants to be part of his life.

I personally would LOVE for Gideon to walk in on his mom confronting Eva about the ring or Eva's past life with Brett. It would be awesome to witness Elizabeth's change in tactics and tone when she realizes she has been busted by Gideon. And it would be great to hear what Gideon has to say to his mom about what she was saying to Eva.

I guess I am the only person who never read any of the TWILIGHT stuff. I thought it was aimed at younger girls? I did read that FSOG was based on ff but that just confused me since it is hardly for young girls. I did also read that Gabriel was based on ff but for the life of me I don't see a resemblance between Gabriel and Christian so I am not sure of the relationship. I did read that Henry had been considered for Edward. Since I never read the books, I don't know if the right choice was made. Henry is very male to me and Pattison is boyish. JMHO

I'm safe but I have some crazy neighbors who set off fireworks around 1 a.m. after the rain stopped. My sleep was interrupted so I'm not a happy camper this morning. Actually if they had regular fireworks it wouldn't have bothered me because I sleep like a rock but they fired off a couple of M80s close to my bedroom window. The sound scared me and I bolted upright in the bed. It took me a couple minutes to get my bearings. Once I was awake it took me till 3 to fall back to sleep.
