1) How dared he indeed!! Giving it a second thought, though, Gedeon rashly planned Nathan's murder out of utter fear for Eva's life/safety. Gedeon hasn't got time enough to address things properly and make up a decent, detective-proof alibi for himself. As Detective Graves says, Gedeon needs Eva's reaction to be true, which means he has to be that cruel to her. Unfortunately, Gedeon's being "no saint" hasn't prevented him from coming up with a real botch-up. 2) She was bound to, poor thing!! Because Gedeon also needs Corinne's reactions to be true to invalidate his motive to kill Nathan in the police's eye as well as in the public one. But I'll bet there's no one out there who doesn't think she deserved it!!!

As to the in-real-life things Sylvia has incorporated in BTY and RIY, I have been wondering for quite a while whether Gedeon's hint in BTY to a serial being shot near the Crossifire Building, a procedural one, together with Cary's surname being Taylor, is referring to C.S.I. NY (where Gary Sinise plays Mac Taylor!!). Perhaps I'm just way off the mark.

How true. That's why I've some trouble in dealing with Gedeon and Eva's sweet moments....they make me think my life is really lacking something/someone special. That "laughing and whispering" on the master bed nearly killed me!

The very same effect BTY and RIY have had on me so far! Reading has always been a pleasurable experiennce to me, but MY GOD I just can't get enough of Gedeon, Eva, and Cary. They are my Crosslybrido!!!! :)

How sharp is the contrast between Monica's view of marriage and what we know is going on between Gedeon and Eva! They are definitevly getting married, but not not for Monica's "right" reasons to do so. Eva is more precious to Gedeon than the air he breathes, his life belt in an ocean of troubles and not just an assset to show off!!!
