 I think Hugo threaten Christopher when he was a child. My guess is if he told his parents Christopher would be next. As a result I think Christopher holds a ton of guilt. I'm sure as a five year old he didn't understand what was happening just that his brother was crying it hurt. I'm thinking Gideon was embarrassed and struck out at Christopher because of that embarrassment.  Magdalene is the daughter of Elizabeth's good friend. The way he treated Magdalene could be a slap at his mother as much as at Gideon. We still have a lot to learn about Christopher. Â

 Me too. I would watch a good movie with him multiple times.Â

 I don't compare writers too much unless the story is so similar that I can replace the names with my favs. I like different genres and I love books that hook me from the beginning and won't let me put the book down until I get to the end. There are many writers who do that for me and I buy everything they write. I am relatively new to Sylvia's books but she is on that list now. It is good to have a number of favorites because every month there is at least 2 or 3 books that I must read. There are books that I read and think that was good but it wasn't as good as so and so. Also, there are some writers that I'll read if I stumble across one of there books but there are others that I go online regularly to see when a new book will be released.Â

 I understand but that is why I'm surprised. It just doesn't seem very Hollywood to me especially today. Years ago actors were concerned about alienating their fans, for example as far back as Errol Flynn, Rock Hudson, etc., but the Hollywood community always knew, or at least suspected, they were gay. Today there is little if any pressure to hide sexual preference.

   I agree I love the show and Matt Bomer in it.Â

 My only comment is watch The Thorn Birds. It never crossed my mind that Richard Chamberlain's sexual preference was a distraction. I bought his role hook, line and sinker. I can cite many examples to back up my theory but of course that is my opinion.Â

 I'm a little surprised by these comments about Hollywood. I always felt that the entertainment industry is very accepting of all actors. If you look back in Hollywood history there were/are many leading men who are gay. Most people in the industry knew even if the general public didn't. One person who jumps out immediately is Richard Chamberlain. He didn't confirm the rumors until he was in his late 50s. IMO a good actor, regardless of their sexual preference, can make you forget about the real man or woman and take you into the story on the screen.

 Exactly. He showed Eva how vicious he could be. Talk to any policeman and he will tell you most murders start by killing animals.Â

 I really think that Victor was consoling Monica after he confronted her about Nathan. I really believe that his anger, and he was so angry that the Krav Maga workout didn't calm him, that he blew up when Monica met him. Victor is a good man and when he saw how Monica was full of guilt he felt bad. I think the whole thing started with him just trying to comfort her and calm her down and there is the love that they have for each other. It is possible to love someone and know that you can never be happy together.  Victor said he wasn't proud of himself and that Monica and Victor both knew they were wrong. Nothing is going to happen again between them even if Monica and Stanton break up. (I hope they don't) I really want Victor to find someone he can share a life with and be happy. I don't think Monica will do that for him because she will hate him eventually for not having the money she needs. I do wish Victor would move closer to Eva though. I think that would make them both happy.

 There is no doubt that we will get more twists and turns. Just ask who saw the Russian mafia twist coming? I don't think Martin will be a bad guy though. I go back to his comment to Eva that he wished he loved his job. It is possible that Eva will help him find something that he loves.  As far as Megumi knowing what went on between Victor and Monica I'm not so sure. Megumi might guess but she wouldn't know that the makeup Monica is wearing isn't hers or even that the dress is Eva's. Besides, if she did say something to Martin then Megumi isn't Eva's friend and that would be a shame.Â

  I want more too. I wish she would continue the story someway. Maybe she can write a book featuring Cary with Eva and Gideon's story continuing to weave through the book.

 I agree. I think Victor and Monica needed to get each other out of their systems.

   I think we would all lbe happy if this is how book 4 tied up the lose ends but I'm not sure that is how Sylvia is going to tell the story.  I think the tape will be history by the end of book 4. We will know Monica's story (Sylvia told us that). We will learn more about Gideon's story (again Sylvia told us) but we won't know everything.   I asked Sylvia if Corinne was going to go in book 4 and she said that would be a spoiler but... the way she answered I don't think she will go. Sylvia likes her "bad characters" as much as she likes the good ones.  I'm positive that Cary isn't going to have his happily ever after until book 5. As of BookBash Sylvia hadn't worked out the details about the baby yet.  I hope we find out about the bracelet in book 4. That whole story arc makes me nervous but depending on the way Sylvia writes it, we will know either hat Gideon is safe or someone else is after him. I pray that someone evil isn't after Gideon; this couple need a break.  As far as book 5, I just want to know when it will be released. I can't stand to wait much longer for the end of the story.

 I think Nathan held over her the treat that he would hurt her mother. He went so far as to kill her cat to show Eva he was serious.Â

 Julie,    She didn't talk about the publisher at any of the venues I attended. She was very closed mouth when anyone asked questions about the publisher.

 I agree. After all these years Victor is still in love with the young Monica who had his baby. Not the older Monica who needs money and status to feel secure. Victor needs a new love who can move him forward. I can't wait to read Monica's story. I really want Captivated to have a Sept release data but since we don't have any pre-order options yet, I think it is going to be Dec.  Â

 Yes Sylvia said that she was behind because she was on the road so much and it would take a few weeks after she was home before she could get the snippets out. My guess is that the publisher asked her to wait to build an audience for Afterburn.

 I read that too and got halfway through the story and quit. I can't find anything in any of the books that makes me think that Carrick & Grace had any problems and I never felt that Carrick hooked up with Elena. It just made me angry.   I didn't read anymore because I was afraid it would make me angry. That is the way I am with fan fiction. If I get to one story that goes to far afield for me I don't read anything else that writer posts.
