I noticed Sylvia's posts this afternoon. It sounds like she is a little aggravated. She is telling readers to contact the publisher is they want info on release dates.Â

I don't think that Gideon put Nathan in a hotel that he owned. I think that was just luck of the draw. Nathan was trying to get somewhere to keep his eye on Eva; it sounds like Gideon owns a lot of real estate in that area. If Gideon put Nathan in a place he owned from the get go it would appear that Gideon started planning a murder as soon as Eva told him about Nathan. I don't think that is true. I think once Gideon found out that Nathan beat Cary Gideon decided to use his ownership of the hotel to his advantage. Also, Graves said the repair/upgrade was scheduled for the video system for three months that would be before Gideon ever heard about Nathan.

One more thought LN, I'm not sure Gideon knew Nathan was in town before he dropped by Crossfire but Gideon was doing his own investigation. Why else did he stop by and talk to Stanton? Gideon probably knew that Nathan would follow the publicity and track down Eva.Â

 Per Graves, Nathan is a stalker and has been for awhile. I'm sure Gideon picked up on that from the pictures and videos. I think Nathan showed Gideon not only the pictures of abuse but also the others that let Gideon know that he (Nathan) knows what Eva is up to daily. Stalkers find a way to track down their target even when they leave town. I believe Gideon was playing it safe and preferred Eva thinking he was overly possessive instead of giving her a heads up about Nathan. Bad decision on his part but it came from the right place.

 I don't think he was a plant he was there working. I suspect a convention (I've attended several in LV). I think Gideon's plan was to protect Eva in case Nathan showed up but also keep an eye on her. It occurred to me that the name Daniel was used to describe both men who openly flirted with Eva kind of what they have in common.  Daniel is a Hebrew name meaning "God is my judge". Right now Gideon is watching over Eva in a godlike manner and judging who he will allow her to associate with.

I'm looking forward to the 7th almost as much as reading the book on the 4th. I feel like I'm approaching this book as a school assignment.  I have my list of questions, clues, and hopes for Eva and Gideon. I plan on taking notes as I read well since I have an ebook I will highlight sections. After the first read through I will make notes. The second read through will be my in depth analysis read that should get me through to the 7th and reading everyone's thoughts here. There aren't too many series that get me this involved with the characters but I have a few but so far Crossfire is my favorite. These characters give me a lot to think about and there are so many questions that need answers.

I think it is interesting that Penguin posted that picture of the rings. Personally I think it was human error. Someone grabbed the wrong photo and they pulled it as soon as they realized the mistake. I think all the pictures are good clues but we may not be interpreting them correctly. It will be interesting once we read the book and see how close or far off we are.  I'm still holding on to the belief that the rings are real and we will be reading about them in a few days (I prefer days to weeks).

 Maybe he is having a nightmare.

The new picture isn't a blonde so Cary & Eva aren't the subject. Is this Gideon?

The picture with the rings isn't on Sylvia's FB page. Do you think that is a fraud? Sorry I posted this before I noticed everyone else already saw the change.

Maybe it is scary because Eva's relationships don't usually end on a happy note and she doesn't know how to process her joy.

 Oh I can't believe it. I walked away for a few minutes and return to this. The clue scare me a little but I'm so happy. It's time for a little celebration.Â

 I think Arnoldo will be back but I don't know how big the part will be. Gideon likes to go to his restaurant so it is possible that Arnoldo will find them a booth in the back in the corner in the dark.Â

Well if we are being honest here I'm to old for Gideon but I figure I'd have to jump in my Delorean first. Most of the men in this book are hot and I'd be happy with young and old alike.

I'll wait until the 7th. I'll prepare my posts as I read and then flood the forum on the 7th

 I'm happy that everyone believes he's a good man. I was concerned that he was viewed in a negative light and then I started to worry that I was wrong about him. I love the guy and I'm a brunette, I would be happy with a one night stand in his little s*x pad (before Eva that is).Â

I'll play by any rules everyone agrees on.  I'm just wondering what happens when we get to a point when we realize things aren't going as we hoped? Can we jump on and just cry without saying anything?

 How can you stay away from spoilers? I would have to ask... What are they talking about in the second half of chapter 2?   Do they run into Corinne in chapter 3? etc. etc. Every time I say I'm not going to read spoilers I start looking for them. I can't help myself.

 I wonder if Gideon was lying. I'm wondering if he was talking about when he was with Corinne, his only other exclusive partner.  I get the impression that Gideon felt the women who "serviced" him after Corinne weren't regular events. He was too busy with his business life to make the time. I suspect he ran into these women at his clubs. He kept them completely separate from his social life because he didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea of him wanting something permanent. I'm thinking about the snippet where he said something like "I didn't know you were out there or I would have waited".   I'm not even sure he considers these one night stands when he answered Dr. Petersen.  I also think about the snippet where Gideon comes into the Club for Eva. She said no one would recognize him as the billionaire he is but she knew. Maybe these one-night-stands had to much to drink, the went to the f** pad and then he had Angus take them home. I think the reason Magdalene made her comment to Eva about once he puts his d*** ..... she was thinking about Anne Lucas. All his associates most likely know he had her then sent her home. Maybe she was another 2x a week liaison.   I don't know where I'm going with this but I don't want Gideon to be as bad as he appears at this point. I think he is an emotionally immature man with a good heart.Â

I participate on fan sites for some of my favorite TV shows. We usually title the sections spoiler and non-spoiler discussions. Personally I love spoilers because I will watch/read anyway to get my personal take on what's happening and form my opinions. We are very careful to not put spoiler info in the no-spoiler section for anyone who wants to be surprised.Â

   Love both of these. This was so sad for me to read and I too cry every time I read it. Gideon and Eva can't stop the drama at this point.Â

 This clue makes me so happy. I know there will be tears for the reader in the next couple books but I hope some of the tears are happy one.

 I don't like this scenario. I think Gideon cuts it off with Corinne early in Entwined even if he isn't openly seeing Eva. It wouldn't be fair to either Eva or Corinne to continue with the Eva charade. Even though Gideon makes a lot of relationship mistakes I don't think he is intentionally hurtful.Â
