  1. I agree. From reading a lot of espionage books, to have 24 hr surveillance you need a whole team per person.
  2. Wow!! Great job - so helpful for going back and checking theories. Would you mind going ahead and doing one for Book 4? I'm dying for more info:)))
  3. I think I've said this before, but I believe Gideon would have just had straight, bread and butter, sex with Corinne. They were both young, maybe in first relationships, and Corinne just doesn't seem the type. And this may just be my lack of background knowledge, but I don't think BDSM stuff was as mainstream back then. After all it was an era we could call pre-50SOG! My guess is that post-Corinne, when Gideon wasn't even trying for affection based relationships, is when he needed more excitement and found he liked the control and dominance of BDSM sex and toys. Just my guess, however.
  4. Two things - a question and a comment. Is there a thread some where that matches the photo snippets to the scene in the book? I know some of them, but there are others I don't know. Did anyone ever match them all up? When re-reading the Times Square scene I just remembered the red stair one. The comment is I looked up sex swings on amazon (hope I'm not now going to be bombarded with sex toy adds) and found all sorts. Some would be very suitable for G-E's place, though Gideon would probably want a custom design. They also had a camouflage one! I guess for if you're feeling frisky and maybe want to do a Tarzan-Jane thing in the woods. Best of all at the bottom of the page was a Bondage Starter Kit for only $19.95. Ladies - start your engines! :)
  5. J***s Chri*t. I've got to stop reading this stuff at work!
  6. Oh my! Best yet!!! Think I'll just lie back and look at this picture - instead of writing evaluations. Hope my evaluation of the picture doesn't get mixed in with the others.
  7. Fluffy - if I may be so familiar - I think the saying is really , "who do you have to f**k around here to get a drink", so I think you should have just substituted "get a post in" for " get a drink" And the answer of course would/should be GIDEON! (I wish) Hope that's not too convoluted. I get a little incoherent when I thinking about Gideon!
  8. I love Angus! He's really more my age, too, unfortunately. Wouldn't you love to know what he whispered to Gideon during the congratulations at the end on the ceremony?
  9. Thanks, Gigi- and to everyone who replied. You're the best !
  10. I've been loving all the Gideon pictures, but especially the occasional moody unsmiling ones. Anyone run across any "dark and dangerous" looking ones? Like maybe when Gideon is watching Eva dancing with Martin or talking to Brett? Sigh...
  11. Just out of curiosity, by what process does one get "validated"? When I signed up a little while back, I thought I could start posting immediately. I kept tying to figure out where on the screen I could hit a reply and couldn't figure it out. Then a day or two later I think I got a message and the screen changed. It still took me a little time to figure out the system - being a little tech challenged. It would be easier if there were a clear Reply button at the bottom of each post, rather than only saying Reply at the bpttom of each page. I've also wondered it it had anything to do with my using an iPad instead of a regular computer. I realize this info is probably posted somewhere and I've just overlooked it. I'm only going on about it in case some other people who are just readers, have some of the same questions. I'm sure these amazing stories have brought lots of other new people into this world of blogs and fan forums. You just have to have someone to share and discuss with! And you guys are so friendly and supportive and welcoming - however wild or emotional or bizarre we get with our theories! Thanks so much!!!
  12. Sorry, Gabri - added the el.
  13. Could someone please tell me the number of the New Year's snippet that's been referred to several times? Or the easiest way to find it? The one I mean is said to be from Gideon's point of view. I must have missed it - didn't join the fun until a month or two ago. Thanks in advance.
  14. I seem to be off in most of my guesses. Another area I was off was at some point earlier in the book, I thought maybe Tatiana was going to be and was being portrayed as kind of a good guy. She did at least 3 nice things: she rushed right to Cary when she got back from Prague when she heard about his beating. She wore the naughty nurse outfit to cheer him up - which showed her understanding of him, and she did say take care of him for me when she was leaving. I also figured she had to be cut a little slack because what woman wouldn't have been a little jealous of Eva's relationship with Cary and more than a little suspicious of it? Some of the tabloids were speculating about a relationship between them as well - that Cary was Eva's bit of side action, or however they put it. I know also she did give Gideon a come on smile when she met him, but honestly, what woman wouldn't? Oh and also the nice robe comment later. Then suddenly, to me anyway, she is a real bit*ch in Entwined. I was surprised and wondered if Sylvia had also changed her mind about her and needed her to take a different role in the plot. Signed, Clueless
  15. I think what Gideon means is he thinks having the power to stop things will allow Eva to relax and feel free from the need to always guard herself and never be able to completely let herself get lost in the moment and even the relationship. I think the unrestrained cuffs are another method of furthering this goal. Sort of dipping a toe in the water, so to speak. It can also be a whole lot of fun, so maybe Gideon has a tad more than just Eva's mental health on his agenda here. :)
  16. I don't have my book here to check but I believe Cary told Eva that Tatiana needed him and that Trey loved him but didn't need him. Cary has probably only ever had Eva to care about and to "mother" and feel needed by. It's very sad, and he probably knows Eva's beginning to slip away. Tatiana is probably beginning to fulfill that role for him a little. I hope she doesn't hurt him.
  17. The timing may be too tight for this, but I've always wondered if magdalene was the one who let Corinne know there was a rival on the horizon. Of course this wouldn't have helped Maggie's situation with regard to catching Gideon. She may seem or be nice, but I think she's still a manipulator. What else did she have to do, besides lunch?
  18. Where is Chris Sr. during all this time? Is he being saved by sylvia for some surprise role?
  19. I was really bothered by the music video and I was astonished that Eva wasn't freaked out about what was understood to be a portrayal of her relationship with Brett - regardless of whether she was actually acting in it or not. Sure she admitted to Brett that it kind of bothered her, but then, as I recall, more or less tells him it's okay. (I didn't really want to re- read the scene again to check). And I can't believe that Gideon didn't totally go medieval on Brett's a**!
  20. I have always felt that when Corinne said that about Gideon being so possessive of poor scared little her, she was either lying through her teeth, or at best wishfully thinking. She was saying it to get to Eva. I also don't believe he started that dominant sex toy stuff till after she was out of the picture. I don't think he would have enjoyed that kind of scene with her. He was relieved Corinne was gone, but he needed some form of activity in her place - and he really needed to feel in control of his sexual feelings. And I'm sure he didn't want to get involved with some other clingy demanding passive aggressive girlfriend. Not to speak unkindly about Corinne, though :)
  21. Julie, Gideon has reasons for meeting with Deanna and he told Eva that she had been right and he had been wrong to think he could just handle Deanna by brushing her off. One he tells Eva that he knew he had been an a s s hole to her and decided to apologize to her. He meets her at a public bar so no one can get any ideas. I think also he was realizing Deanna was a bad enemy. But I hope he really was sincere in his apology - he had been a right pri*k even if she had come on strong. And virtue was rewarded - she gave him advance warning about the sex tape so he got some lead time before it hit the Internet and tabloids. And Gideon was smart to make that deal about exclusive rights to the wedding photos. It would keep her from making more trouble amongst all the f-ed up group of Vidals, Girouxs, and who knows who else. Clever Gideon !
  22. LN, that's a good thought and it really makes sense that Clancy would have done the bracelet switch at least as much for the Stanton crew as for Gideon. After all, in the eyes of the world, the Stanton's have a much clearer and obvious motive than Gideon. He's only been seeing Eva a relatively short time, and even if things look hot and heavy to the public, it's quite a leap from that to committing murder for her.
