  1. Hi ladies---

I'M BACK.  I actually made it without reading any spoilers or anything.  Finished the book a little while ago.  Have not had to to reread all of the comments so forgive me if I missed something.

I loved this book.  I liked it more than EWY.  I think so many things were answered.  I did not expect everything to be because we have another book.  Some things that I loved--

    1.  Everything Gideon.  I think he is growing so much and I loved that so much of the book was in his voice.  I really loved that.

    2.  I so knew Brett was in it for himself.  I felt it from the get go.  I feel like Chris Jr. was somehow behind Brett trying to get back with Eva for sales.  I hate Chris Jr.

    3.  Loved Chris Sr.  A lot.  What a fine man.  He did not deserve to be married to Lizzie.  She is an Arse.  Thought so before and am sure of it now.

    4.  Never ever thought of the Megumi mess.  Wow.

    5.  I am not sure why Gideon didn't discuss Mark's job offer with Eva.  It seems kind of weird considering how open he had become with Eva.  I guess Sylvia needed a reason for Eva to walk out.  Personally, I felt that what Gideon did was necessary.  I also feel that once Eva found out that the game or whatever it is is in direct competition with Gideon's, she should have told him.  So, I feel that both of them were at fault.

    6.  One of the most amazing parts of the book was when Gideon finally opened up to Dr. P about his past.  OMG, that was incredible.

    7.  Anne is nuts.  Plain and simple.  Imagine the clients she has messed up over the years.  Vengeance is ridiculous.  I don't get her or Deanna being so ###### ###### over an affair.  With Deanna it was one night.   Anne seems to have been some kind of submissive to Gideon.  Maybe she needed that stuff and couldn't tell her husband?  She fell for Gideon who I am quite sure made it clear it was just sex.  He sure never tried to lie about that.

    8. Corrine and a tell all book?  Seriously?.  Another woman scorned.  Geez.  When you put together all the crap she has done, she is really pretty awful.  She is a major threat to Eva and Gideon.  She wants what she wants and doesn't care if she hurts anyone.  B I T C H

    9.  I liked the ending.  It showed how much both of them have grown together.  How Gideon finally gets it that he has to share and stop hiding.  I imagine it is something most powerful men are not used to doing.  And i think many powerful men choose women who don't want what Eva does.  Trophy wives.  Gideon is just madly in love with a woman who won't take his crap.

    10.  I read somewhere that people were not thrilled with the explicit sex.  HELLO!!!!!!  Did they read the first 3 books?  Geez, that scene after the fight with Brett on the way to the beach is as explicit as you can get.  G and E are highly sexual.  It fits.

    11.  NOt thrilled with Cary cutting and nothing solved for him.  Tat is holding him by a thread.  I don't think the baby is his---if she is even pregnant.  I think she will abort it and that will set Cary crazy.

    12.  Loved that they bought the house at the beach.  Loved that Eva is letting her dad pay for the wedding.  Monica has to learn to deal.  It ain't her wedding.  My daughter wore a red wedding gown.  I wan't thrilled even though it was gorgeous and she looked great.  It was her wedding.

    13.  Still not sure about Graves.  Anyone else still on the fence?

I could go on and on.  I need to reread.  I forget a lot already.

  2. Cary is drama.  That is part of his charm.  He also centers Eva when he is in a good place.  I think they are great together as best friends.  Neither is perfect.  They love each other unconditionally and that is completely evident.  They need their friendship.  He does not use her.  It isn't in his nature to do that.  They have a bond, thanks to Dr. T, that I cannot see broken.

That pen represents money, elegance, and class.  Love the cover.

  3. So I haven't posted in quite a while and I'm sorry to say that I'll just wait for the book to come out without reading much more of the teasers etc.

The more I stress about the release of the next book the less enjoyable the idea of Gideon and Eva is becoming for me so I'll just await the newsletter with the release date in my email inbox and try to ignore everything else about the series.

I've found other series to read and I've fallen for a new hero (though it was just a single book - Holden Maxwell) and I wish I could get to the next phase of Gideon and Eva's story (like I'm sure lots of you are)

Have fun in the mean time ladies (and gents?)

I know him. Read the whole series by Kristen Ashley. Keep reading that series and all her books. There are tons as she writes a lot.

Holden is great but he is no Gideon. I keep waiting for him. One of these days I will be surprised and he'll show up. In the meantime I keep reading other series. Have read all of Sylvia's but the paranormals. Not my thing. Gideon does have major competition now but that is for another thread.

I read the teaser and for some reason I just shrugged my shoulders. I cannot stand Christopher so I guess I don't care what he thinks.

  4. Hello ladies--

It has been a while since I posted.  Life and not a whole lot new to say.  And I don't know if this is the right place to put my thoughts.

I read a lot.  I have said that often.  I think I have read everything Sylvia has written minus the supernatural stuff which I don't like.  I miss her.  I miss her writing and no one, and I mean this, no one can create a character like she can.  So, after reading many different authors, I wanted to revisit G and E since I feel so sad that we have waited so long for the continuation of their amazing story.  Gideon still grabs my heart from the start.  I reread BTY and am now into RIY.  There are a ton of "book boyfriends" out there but G just does it for me.  There are others that get to me like Jesse Ward, Gabriel Emerson, Ethan Blackstone, Christian Grey.  But there is only one Gideon.

    When?

  5. Hi ladies---

    Long timer, no post.

I see I am not the only one who loves Kristen Ashley books. Well, I have read the latest in the Burg series---The Promise.  Great.  Also, she has stared a series with The Will which takes place in Maine.  Loved that also.

I read the whole Rescue Me series by K Masters and I have to agree that Cassie could never be into BDSM.  Would not work.

Also read THE FIXED Trilogy.  It's good, but the follow up book, HUDSON, from the male POV is even better.

Anything new out that I need to read?  Please help!  Running out of ideas.  I read a lot and I know that ONE NIGHT PROMISED by Jodi Melpasse is coming out here Aug. 5.  (It's already released in the UK.)  I adored the THIS MAN series so I am looking forward to that.

  6. There is something fishy with these last 2 books.  Makes no sense that Sylvia cannot get them out unless she has decided for whatever reason to rewrite. NOT BLAMING HER. The books are her babies and she can do as she pleases. Since waiting has been long. I have gotten into other authors.  Kristen Ashley has books out like crazy.  The author of THIS MAN series has a new series starting in August with first 2 book covers released and excerpts.  Sane thing with the author of GABRIEL series.  New book out soon with cover and excerpts.  And Samantha Young. Not understanding the long delay.  If she says sometime in 2014, which she has on fb, then I am not expecting CBY until  the fall.  I miss G and E.  Love the teasers but …….

  7. I wonder if the comments about working on book 4 again meant that book 5 was done and had been read through leading to them figuring out book 4 needed some changes. I'm hoping that was the case then maybe they will both be out by Fall.

I hope you are right.  I am weary of waiting.  I have been putting off rereading because I want the whole story to be fresh in my mind when CBY comes out.  I wish we just had a clue as to when.

  8. I don't see the book coming out any time soon based on what Sylvia said on fb.  I am as anxious as anyone else.  Sometimes I get upset.  But I would never, ever trash Sylvia.  That is just not classy.

Love the snippets.  God, Gideon just does it for me.

  9. Hi GLH, have you read "On Dublin Street" by Samantha Young. A great story with great sex scenes & ...don't hit me... but I liked the male & female main characters more than Eva & Gideon. (they come in second). Her writing is an easy read & very witty.

Hi!!  I have read all of the books in that series and loved them all.

I read the Burg series by Kristen Ashley.  Her books are fun.

  10. No, he does not submit.  He may give in to Eva in other ways, but not in bed.

Been reading another Kristen Ashley series--the Burg series.  Loved them.  She has great stories.  And not real short.  SEDUCED BY FIRE by Tara Sue Me who wrote the Dominant /Submissive series is good also.  CONFESSIONS AFTER DARK by Kahlen Aymes is the second book in that series.  First is ANGEL AFTER DARK.  Both are good.

Since 4 and 5 are not gonna be here any time soon, I need some other more recently released suggestions.  Jodi Ellen Malpasse has a new series starting in August.  She wrote THIS MAN and that trilogy is complete and the main character, Jesse, is among my top 5 favorite male characters so I am looking forward to her next series.

  11. Anyone see Sylvia's fb post tonight? She posted pics with her uk publisher and the uk penguin Book guy, hopefully they are all together for a good reason!!!!!

I'm probably the only one that now hopes the books don't make it out until July or aug. I'm due next week and I won't have the time to devote to Gideon for atleast a few months. Hopefully the books will help me find my mommy mojo after the baby, they were after all a huge part in me gettin pregnant in the first place lol.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.  Don't see the books being released any time soon.  Good luck with your new baby.

  12. I don't think you are weird.  I cannot see rereading a mystery or a suspense filled book, but with some books---especially books like CROSSFIRE, character development is so important.  Each time I reread, I saw different nuances I hadn't seen before which helped me to understand their characters.  Also, if I do not connect with a character then I read just for the story and that is fine.  Not all books become favorites.  I seldom reread a stand-alone book because it isn't necessary. When you are waiting forever for a next book, you can forget the ending of the previous one.  I do the same thing with TV shows.  Especially the ones on premium channels where there is a year between.  I cannot remember what happened on MAD MEN.  I need to rewatch the last few episodes before the final season starts next week.  BTW--I do rewatch favorite movies as well.  Just saw GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER for the umpteenth time.

  13. I don't think G has mob ties either.  He doesn't need them and he is not stupid to get involved with that kind of mess.  I do think Nathan could easily have gotten involved with them via gambling or drugs.  G said he killed N.  We know why the mob killed N.  We do not know why that bracelet ended up on the mob guy.  That I am sure we will find out in CBY.  Perhaps Monica knew mob men from N's dad and that is how N knew them?  Not sure.  I have always felt that Angus had G's back.  Maybe he got a hold of Clancy and between the 2 of them they dealt with N?

    Where is that book already??????

  14. Hi Gaia--

I realized I did read the Dream Man books.  For some reason I got them mixed up with the Mountain men ones which I have not read.

As for Blackstone, I got the trilogy on my ipad as a set.  It is beyond me that Amazon doesn't have them.  They have everything.  So, I have read all 4 Blackstones and there is a shorter one about 2 of the characters which I just started.  Check out each book individually.  The first one is NAKED.  Then ALL IN. Then EYES WIDE OPEN.  Maybe you can do it that way.  We have to get them for you.  You will love them.

Just checked Amazon.  They have the Kindle edition of the trilogy.  Check again.
