  1. his sscrph I have read these three book three time the first one is called the proposition the second one is called possession and the third one is called obsession it is a set of three books read them in that order you will find you will like them take care

This is so funny cause this is exactly what I was going to recommend.  Loved this series.  The author is Jennifer Lyon.  lol  Great minds think alike.

  2. Gaia--

I agree with you about Rachael and Aaron.  Wanted their HEA but it is the whole set of characters in those 2 series that I will miss.  You are right that the ending of THIS MAN did resolve everyone's issues.  I just love Jesse and Ava.  And I adore Julia and Gabriel.

  3. Sharon--

I so know what you mean.  We will all be so sad when we say our good-byes to G and E but I bet we all reread a ton of times and buy the DVD's of the TV show.   When I am into a series, I hate when it ends.  I felt that way when I finished the THIS MAN series and the other day when I finished the GABRIEL series.  Not so much when I finished other series.  But CROSSFIRE---AMAZING.

  4. Hi Gigi--

We seem to have similar taste.  I have read JANE'S MELODY since it was recommended here.  Liked it.  Loved the BEAUTIFUL series but I think you should really read BEAUTIFUL as that is the first one.  Then BEAUTIFUL STRANGER.  Max is something else. I have read all the rest in order.

I have read all of Sylvia's Georgian series and just loved them.  I am not sure I read IN THE FLESH.  Will check it out.  I love historical fiction and have read the others of Sylvia;s that are stand alones.  The only things of Sylvia I have not read are some of the short stories and all the paranormal books.  I don't like paranormal stuff.  I am thinking of trying SPELLBOUND  but I am not sure.

I did read GONE GIRL and hated the ending.  Just finished SYCAMORE ROW and the latest Alex Cross book.  Read them all.

I read a lot.  Don't watch TV during the day at all and I find reading so incredibly relaxing.  If I am home, I am either reading or cooking.  I get lost in a good book.  Since I got my ipad I read a whole lot more than I ever did.  I love it.

The problem with some of the romance novels is that the writing is just not good.  Sylvia and Sylvain Reynard are definite exceptions to that.  The other is that the characters are all of similar age.  I would love to read a love story about people who are middle aged.

I will go back to the master list which I am so thrilled with.  I cannot believe you went to all that trouble for us.  Thank you again.

  5. Gigi--you are amazing.

I just finished the third and final book in the GABRIEL series.  OMG, i loved that series.  It is extremely romantic and the characters and storyline are interesting to me.  It isn't CROSSFIRE, but hey. It is up there for me with the THIS MAN series for totally different reasons.  These series are completely different but great reads.

Looking forward to the next book in the KGI series.  Loved them.

The Master List is daunting.  I need a recommendation for what to read next.  i have no idea since there are so many.  Help!!!!

  6. Sylvia--

First, thanks for your imput.  I think we all appreciate it.

I think what you are reading is frustration and a lot of speculation.  NO ONE BLAMES YOU at all.  If anything, there is a whole lot of empathy.  When I read responses to your fb posts, it must really be annoying since you talk about SPELLBOUND or something and every response is about CROSSFIRE.  I would take it as a complement that we all love your work so much and love Eva and Gideon.

As for May, I think the idea came from that UK mistake and the fact that a lot of publishers only put out 1 book per year on a series.  It was sheer speculation at least on my part.  I think most of us on this board know that there never was a tentative date for CBY as you have certainly said it many times.

I am glad you are feeling somewhat better.  Just take care cause we all care.

  7. I saw that yesterday and forgot to post it.  After reading it, several things came to mind.  First and foremost, I feel bad for Sylvia.  I hope she is recovering well.  I feel she is overworked with all the travel plus whatever else she is dealing with surgically.  Second, we got a very clear explanation about AFTERSHOCK.  She is the last to know?  Seriously?  Third, I downloaded the free sample of SPELLBOUND  even though I am not sure about this.  I have read almost everything she writes but not sure here.  Will see.  Fourth, and most relevant here, the absence of info on CBY is glaring.  Either the stupid publisher tells her nothing or she is keeping to her word and saying nothing until it is written in stone.  This publisher is on my last nerve.  At this rate, CBY will be released around May with the fifth book to be released a May 2015.  TV series?  Fall 2015.  That is my guess.

    Feel better, Sylvia.

  8. I agree! I'd hate it if it were a movie because they'd ruin it for sure. Just look at Twilight! It wasn't an amazing read or anything but it would have flourished and been more entertaining to watch if it were a series ala Vampire Diaries or True Blood. i HATE movie adaptation because they eliminate some of the core things from the novels almost all the time. I wouldn't mind if they wrote the script word for word out of the Crossfire novels!

OMG I totally agree here.  Sylvia;s words just work.  I hope whoever is the writer reads and rereads each book, each chapter because no one knows the characters better than she does.  Some of the lines are unbelievable.  Perfect.  Chill worthy.  Especially Gideon's lines.  (Loved when she quoted tons of these lines on her fb page back at the end of Sept. beginning of Oct.)

  9. I don't really know much about actresses these days.  Henry is all of our first choice, but I am not sure about Eva.  This woman doesn't seem right to me.  But who knows.  I hope the work is being done for this series.  Look at how the movie of FSOG  has been postponed until 2015.  And all those books are long out.  I wish we knew what Lionsgate was planning.

  10. On Sylvia's FB page yesterday was an article, probably a blog, with a dream cast for CROSSFIRE.  Of course, the mention of Henry as G was there with the stipulation that he would most likely not be available and the suggestion was for Stephen Arnell.  Not bad but not Henry. Something not quite right but whatever. It did mention that Sylvia wanted Henry also.  All I kept thinking as I saw the dream cast, most of whom I didn't like, was that I hope and pray we don't get the same crap going on as the FSOG casting has had.  That is moved back another 6 months?  Really.  Will anyone even remember the series by 2015?  I don't want that to happen to CROSSFIRE.  Please.

  11. Totally off topic but I am curious.  Is SPELLBOUND  a novella, new book, or a reissue of an older book?  I have read everything Sylvia has written but the paranormal crap.  I don't want to buy something I already read by a different name.  If it is new, I will order it.

  12. I agree w you two. I mean, I'd like to think he's not nothing to do w the guy trying to release it . But , he's gotta know of it , no? The music video was made w the tape in mind. I really hope it doesn't get released. How many times can Eva be abused? Who knows how many people saw it already , plus there's also the videos/ pics that Nathan had. It's too much.

I am with you here.  I think he knew of the tape.  I think he saw it.  I am wondering if that tape was the inspiration for GOLDEN.  Not saying he didn't like Eva but I think he may have forgotten about her. No doubt he has been with lots of women since Eva. I do not think he is responsible for trying to release it.  There would be nothing in it for him.  I don't think he's that much of an Arse but I do think he knows of its existence.  I also agree that Eva has had enough s hit thrown at her.

  13. I think there are enough enemies already for me.  I hope Sylvia deals with some of the crap already there like Corinne, Anne, and my favorite Deanna.  We also have to find out about that bracelet and how that played out.  Then there is Brett and the se x tape which I am sure he knew something about.  Add to that Lizzie and her sickening self, a wedding, Monica's back story, Tat's pregnancy and I think that's a whole lot for 2 books.  Especially if Gideon's mental health is the  main focus.

  14. I did not necessarily mean sexually at all. Both said that one time and I do think so. But there seems to be something else. I don't know what. There has to be more to that story than just a one night stand gone bad.

Personally, I will never stop reading Sylvia's books. I think I have read them all but the paranormal ones cause I am just not into that stuff.

  15. Sylvia--I am touched that you responded to me.  I guess you can see how much we LOVE G and E and the whole series.  Thanks for your imput.  There is no doubt CROSSFIRE  is huge.  Look at your tour.  I guess we are all so invested in these characters.  I cannot wait to see where it is going.  Again, thanks.

  16. Well ladies, I have come to the very sad realization that we will not see this new book anytime soon.  I have the third book in the GABRIEL series on preorder for 9 months.  The release date for about 4 others are out there from other authors including the newest KGI book.  All preordered.  No snippets.  Nothing in ages.  Sylvia must be so frustrated.  We are.  What a waste right before the holidays.  Marketing 101 says this book should be out.  I hope someone from Penguin reads hear. Sigh
