I'm thinking that conversation was about Christopher. Gideon was a bit self absorbed and wouldn't be following what happened to Christopher back then. Indeed, Hugh may have told them that Gideon hurt/abused Christopher when it was really Hugh doing the damage. As for Gideon's red-headed receptionist, I really have felt that this girl is related to Hugh/Anne but that the connection is not well known - different last name and all. Possibly Hugh's wife was pregnant when Hugh killed himself. If the wife remarried, the child could have a different last name and maybe Gideon didn't follow all the threads.

Anyone else even a little concerned that we haven't even seen a cover yet? I am thinking that we probably won't be seeing this book any time soon. But I do hope I am wrong!

Don't want to beat a dead horse here, but could part of the delay be that the publisher is putting out the Audio book at the same time as the e-book, paperback, etc. Watching some authors putting out the e-book and paperback at the same time, the lag time for the audio is often 6 months or more. I don't know why, but it seems to take a lot of time to make a audiobook. Just a thought.  Again, not something I think Sylvia can control. Probably part of the contract and the publisher is pushing to put it all out together.

Not getting a snippet doesn't bode well for OWY coming out soon.

Just because a boss leaves or changes jobs, it doesn't mean everyone who works for him/her get let go. They could certainly keep Eva, but she likes working for Mark. Also, she realizes she can not work on the LanCorp RFP/campaign, so she will have to let management know that. Ann Cathrin makes some good points as to why the ad agency would want to keep her, just move her to another Acct manager (Jr or otherwise).  I think Eva is starting to see that being married to Gideon is going to color her world in certain ways. Working for the ad agency may not be best fit for her, especially if Gideon's competitors are going to come at her/him that way. She is mentally fighting the inevitable and trying to justify in her mind that this isn't the case. That certainly adds to why she is so mad at Gideon, at least in my mind. I don't agree with her moving in with her mom and totally shutting out Gideon, but I can see where this is a catalyst for her and hits very close to her triggers. Her 'choice' is being negated, but she will have to realize that some of that was her 'choice' to marry Gideon. This is just a fall out from that decision.

You got to keep in mind that when talking to Dr Peterson, Gideon has put it out that he is ALWAYS VERY AWARE of Eva's triggers and is respectful of not trampling on them.... That said, when he tied her in the elevator, he was at least partially drunk and concerned about her triggers so he had to move away for a while, settle down and think this through (STAY IN CONTROL). I think with this in mind, the elevator and how he handled his anger make a lot more sense.

I wish we could get the book! Considering Sylvia thought it would be out before the end of the year. Unfortunately, she didn't say what year!!!  Oh well. We wait. But I agree, Eva didn't tell Cary on the flight to the west coast... or he is being cagey with Dr. Travis. (Don't think that is the case though!)  God love Cary!

Have to agree. I think this is when Eva tells Cary that she and Gideon are married.

Don't I remember early on after ETW came out, that Sylvia said that Gideon was finally talking to her more? That would point to having more or Gideon's POV in the last two books. Plus, since these are 'mainly' for Gideon coming to grips with his demons, it makes sense that we are finding out what is going on in his head.  Also, as much as i like that Gideon has close male friends, I never felt particularly fond of Arnoldo.  Much warmer thoughts for Angus, a man who has looked out for him for probably 20 years and the ONE he brought along to stand up for him at his wedding!

  This latest snippet just goes with the earlier one... Eva stays back to get have Gideon tell her why he is in San Diego and he says the bit about tell me what you need and we can argue and have make-up sex later! Yea Gideon! melt.....  Oh, and of course Gideon had Eva and Cary stay at one of his properties, so of course he would know where they would be... love it!

Probably the wrong place to ask this, but is "The Boss" series 2 or 3 books. I only see 2 out and hate to be waiting for yet another book!

Can't help but think that a German(?) bookseller came out with a May? 2014 date a while ago and had to publish an apology. Could it be that they were right all along? I'd like to see CBY out before then, but I highly suspect that Sylvia has been pressuring Penguin books but has gotten no where with them. I feel bad for her because she has been getting such a hard time on facebook and I don't think she really has any real control over this. Oh well, what will be will be.

I have recently read the HE11 Yeah! series by Sable Hunter. Starts with Cowboy Heat, then Hot on Her Trail, and covers the McCoy brothers and their finding the women of their dreams. There are 2 versions of most of these books (12 in the series already but since we have moved onto friends and acquaintances, there is a possibility for a number more (he11 Yeah! Cajun Style and HE11 Yeah! Equalizers).   The "sweeter version" of the books/kindles are a little more tame but good reads all the same. Waiting for the next one of these to come out. They are hard to put down. I would recommend you read them in order because just like the "Rescue Me" series by Kallypso Masters, the storylines weave through the books and you would get a little confused about other characters - especially with Aron and what happens to him on his honeymoon.  Still waiting for more Gideon and Eva though!
