I can see a long lensed camera in the background and a woman's face - possibly Deanna photographing them as the exclusive promised by Gideon. There's a sprig of white flowers - not sure how the timescale of this book pans out but could we be reaching their official wedding in one of these chapters? On Facebook two people reckon they can see a baby, I can't see one though. We know Sylvia has said Gideon and Eva are not yet ready for one, and Cary has only just found out Tatiana is pregnant - would Sylvia depict a baby or if it is a pregnancy I'd expect to see a woman's pregnant outline.

Not sure there will be any cheating, but possibly more of Gideon's past (maybe even Eva's?) might be brought up. We've not yet heard all about his 'dark' side and we learnt a little more about Deanna's likes in the Jax and Gia books so there may be more to her story than Gideon or Deanna has so far let on about.

There's quite a lot we already know needs resolving regarding Gideon's relationship with his family, the only one he seems comfortable with is Ireland who was not around at the time his abuse took place.

Eva seems very set in her love for Gideon and certain that whatever his secrets are, she will never leave him - let us hope that she is able to do that (stay with him) when the time comes to learn the truth.

Monopoly is a game about acquiring property to win (and of course sometimes losing property), plus the fact that I think from an early teaser Gideon shows up in San Diego, and the basketball was in Eva's mind in chapter 20 of Entwined with You (Carey mentioning shooting hoops at Dr Travis - Eva's thoughts I didn't play basketball, but I knew I could use a one-on-one with Dr Travis myself - the early chapters are about the San Diego trip. Not sure what that picture at the top is, on Facebook someone mentioned a phone in the picture so that could be what is there - it's not easy to make out at all. Could the Monopoly board imply Gideon buying some property in San Diego - possibly funding Dr Travis?

I've no idea about the dice, other than obviously Gideon will gamble and is presumably good at that. Or could it be a reference to Monica and that husband we don't know much about?

Re Eva not taking time off when her dad visited, she's not worked there for very long - I don't know how holiday entitlement works in the US but the company I work for you earn so much time off for so much time worked so in the early weeks you don't take time off unless arranged before starting work or in an emergency situation. Mark did let her go leave work to collect her dad.

As to Gideon and 'kinky dominance' - the man knows a fair amount about safewords and on the plane in Entwined with You he explained to Eva what being bound was about, and seeing her with the cuffs on was obviously a turn on for him. I guess there's some experience of this in his past yet to be revealed?

After reading one or two series which involved BDSM, it was quite refreshing to start a series where that was not the dominant theme of the book, and that Gideon and Eva were showing how good 'normal' sex can be and that there was more of a story line to the books.

Thought it was a bit too good to be true to get another teaser this week!! So far no-one on Facebook has spotted it's not from CBY.

Sorry, I linked the excerpt on the teasers thread, probably should have put it here as well.

Just had confirmation from Amazon UK that they will despatch my paperback 'for release date delivery'.

The whole Golden video subject gives reason for Gideon to be fighting with whoever was responsible - if he got bruises during training or workout Eva would have seen those in the past so I doubt there would be any reason to mention them. The way the scene is written indicates he is incredibly angry, and as sscrph says he is worried about being too rough with Eva if she stays. As she has come from her own apartment she must still be living there, she had also expected him to be next door and he was not so unlikely she would respond to him at what will be their home that it is her home too as she's not yet living there.

Presumably having been involved in a fight his clothes would be messed up and, being angry at what the fight had been about he would not wish to risk her seeing him in that state so returned to the penthouse to shower, change, calm down and then return to Eva (or not if he still had things to resolve). We don't know what time of day this is, has Eva spent the night alone and is now looking for him?

Nov 18th can't come soon enough and I do hope both iTunes and Amazon get the e-book on line at the stroke of midnight, recently some author's books have not appeared on either for almost 48 hours after the date the author has set for publication.

Wonder if the bruises are something to do with Christopher and that he has more damage than Gideon? Perhaps something to do with that video? Is he angry with Eva or is his anger still brimming over from whoever he has just been fighting with?

I called Brilliance Audio today to find out about the release of the "Captivated by You" audio book.  They show the book is  available on November 18.  You can preorder the CD version and the MP3 that will be shipped on the publication date but information regarding preorders of Audible.com and iTunes versions was not available.  Brilliance does show audio versions for those formats will be produced

 

It maybe the print publisher does not want to lose sales to audio.

Sylvia says on Facebook that so far as she is aware the audio book will be available on 18 November, she'll post links as soon as available.

There were a couple of comments made on Facebook that the web site earlier this week said there would be an excerpt put on there. Sylvia has just responded "Sorry! My web design team has been asking for me to send them an excerpt to put up on the site and I've been so crazy busy this week, I haven't had time to send them one. It's my delay, not my team's. I'll get them the excerpt this weekend and it'll go up on Monday. Again, sorry about that!"

If she had morning sickness bad enough not to work, surely that would not stop her contacting Eva or answering the phone if called?

UK Amazon was pretty quick to get the e-book pre-order on line, I did mine late Saturday night, and iTunes was there on Sunday.  Sylvia is updating her Facebook page as she knows the book has been added to sites, but a lot of those posting don't realise that the link they require is already on her page, I guess at some point there will be a thread with all the links.  I've ordered the paperback on fast delivery in the hope they do send out early to ensure receipt on the publication day, but will have the e-book if not.

Looking at the UK cover, I'm not sure that is a rope, enlarging the picture it seems to be three rows of gems (crystals, diamonds?)with a darker row of gems across the top, against some silky/satiny fabric. Too long to be a bracelet so possibly a necklace, or could be straps on an evening gown with the fabric being the gown?

I'm in the UK but have bought the US books (I prefer US paperbacks to UK ones, the paper quality is so much nicer and the books hold open in a way that doesn't damage the spine)but we have had a high heeled shoe, a ring and a perfume bottle on our covers so far, I haven't thought to deeply about the significance of those but there must be.

Nathan must be dead, someone has to have identified the body, presumably his father who would have no reason to lie and say it was not Nathan. Can't see Gideon agonising over having killed a man who might not be dead.

Considering the volume of people posting on Sylvia's Facebook page that they either will not buy any more of this series, or won't buy until Book 5 is released, in the UK the book is already number one in iTunes and number one in three Kindle categories - Romance, Erotica and Contemporary.

Don't know what a "Mont Blanc" pen is or snow cap....but if you look closely at the pen you can see the initials GC which could stand for either Gideon Cross or his father Geoffrey Cross.....so you could be on to something

Yes, I spotted the GC and that could be either Gideon or Geoffrey Cross. Mont Blanc are a premium brand of pens and the snow cap is their trademark (the snow cap on the summit of Mont Blanc mountain). They are one of the brands that have kudos in the business and other worlds due to their elegance (and possibly due to the price of some of the range). They are fantastic pens to write with, I have their Fountain Pen, Ball Pen and Pencil in the 'Homage a W A Mozart' range. I can't say for certain the pen on the cover is a Mont Blanc as it is definitely not current range, hence my feeling it might be his father's pen which, along with his mother's ring somehow became Gideon's property.

The pen looks like it could be an old style Mont Blanc (I think that may be the Mont Blanc snow cap flat version just visible on the top???) so could this be his father's pen?

After yesterday's teaser posting there were yet more negative comments from 'fans'. Sylvia decided to respond to one of the comments that had attracted a lot of replies.

Posting here for future reference, I won't quote any comments other than the one that was written immediately after Sylvia posted, which meant Sylvia replied again.

Sylvia Day I understand that many people are anxious for the release of Captivated by You. What I don't understand is why some readers choose to believe that the delay is due to greed, disrespect, or any other character flaw. Why assume that I'm such a horrible person who is lying around on vacation every day, lazy and unwilling to work? Really, if your personal opinion of me is low, why bother to comment on my page or follow my books? I read books by authors whose work I enjoy. If you don't enjoy my work, please move on.

But if/when I make a guess and it doesn't turn into reality, readers get mad that I guessed. I can't win for trying. As soon as the publisher sets a firm date of release I'll post it. In the meantime, I'm doing everything I can."

As she says, she can't win whatever she does. Not sure why some of those posting actually expect a response to some of their rudeness.

Sylvia headed the post 'brotherly love' so yes, Christopher could be talking to Ireland but so far Christopher and Ireland have been friendly - plus weren't the shares Gideon bought Ireland's so unless he returns them to her Christopher has no reason to speak to her in this way. Wonder if Christopher has got himself involved in something nefarious which gives him a little more cash in the pocket, making him more think he can push Gideon around - does he even know the extent of Gideon's business empire?
