I don't think it's a bad thing that Grey is having a quick release. I just think it's surprising. I'm actually happy about the quick release.

The release of Grey does seem really just thrown together. I don't get it. 

I'm not sure what the hold up is. It does seem like things are really rolling with the Lionsgate TV series though. I saw where Sylvia had met with someone in NYC and she keeps posting on her FB about who should play in what role. Daniel Di Tomassa (?) said he was prepping for the audition.

I'm very surprised EL James chose not to have a bigger build-up around the new Grey book considering how huge the series and movies are. 

Having a future look at GidEVa with kids in the epilogue would be perfect!

I do with all the mentions in the fourth book! Re-reading the the books makes me realize that Sylvia does set up a lot of scenarios that you don't even realize.

I do think Monica grew up with a silver spoon but was cut off once she became pregnant out of wedlock (especially to someone without that affluent upbringing), so she learned to marry money to keep up her lifestyle and appearances. Does Eva ever talk about knowing her grandparents or any aunts/uncles?

I feel for Sylvia Day because she does so much for her readers. I was grateful that the books are now 5 because I knew halfway through book 3 that they story couldn't be over. I wish others would quit hassling her. 

During my spring break I reread the first 4 books, and I found myself getting just as worked up as I had the first time I read them. Hopefully OWY will be out soon. It'll be bittersweet to have it over though.

Gideon effect. 

Here's another idea about why Gideon let Corrine into his office and frosted the glass ... Corrine was there to show him old pictures of the two of them together. Was Gideon about to bring out the pictures of him and Eva marrying? Show Corrine the marriage certificate? He showed that stuff to Brett in his office. Does Gideon keep those copies in his desk? Maybe he was ready to hit Corrine with proof of the marriage, but by chance Eva's arrival interrupted him. Eva was there, so he instantly dropped everything to greet her, touch her, had eyes for only her and all but forgot there was anyone else present.

 

The first time I read the excerpt, I practically wanted to smack Gideon, like Eva did that day when she barged into his office thinking he'd just finished a nooner with Corrine. But reading it again and thinking about it, I recalled Gideon has a reason for everything he does. Corrine's trying to hurt Eva. He'll do anything to stop anyone from hurting Eva. So he had a reason for admitting his ex to the inner sanctum of his office, and whatever he planned to do, he was going to do without witnesses being able to see through the glass. He kicked Nathan's you know what in his office the day that monster showed up unannounced planning to hurt Eva with pictures.

 

I think it's time he told her he was married. Her antics are getting more and more pathetic and annoying. And I'm with you. When I read the excerpt I immediately was mad at Gideon. Hopefully he has something up his sleeve. 

I saw on Sylvia's FB page that CBY isn't being released in Portugal until March 1st. Hopefully the OWY date won't be too much longer. 

 

I want Eva to embrace being Mrs. Cross and use her new platform to bring light to issues and work for the charity to help others. I'm excited to see what Gideon's birthday will bring. Probably a lot of drama. I don't see Corrine just sitting back and doing nothing knowing it's his birthday. 

You are right, long day for me here in the UK (I've been out with family for various events )and for some reason I was thinking CBY covered mostly August, I should have remembered that if Mark were leaving his job he would be starting with Cross Industries in October.

 

I've been there. When you posted that my first thought was "crap we dont get to read about Gideons birthday" so I had to google it.

If Gideon is a Virgo then his birthday could still happen, Virgos are until Sep 22nd. 

 

I know this is the next movie I'm going to see. It's called "The Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks and it looks excellent. Plus, Scott Eastwood plays Luke and he is just beautiful. 

 

The song is Waiting Game by Banks and I also love that song . 

I have refrained from commenting (too much) in here about my feelings on the movie, because frankly I have too many.  Let me preface my statement by saying that I realize that there is NO way that the movie could do the books justice, for the pure fact that each of these books was quite long and the movie is only a couple hours long.  However, one of the things that disappointed me was the lack of character development and one of my favorite characters (and I think many others) is Taylor.  He is an extremely important person in Christian's life (like Angus is to Gideon) and soon became one in Ana's also.  If I am recalling correctly, Taylor was not acknowledged much in the movie and was only in a handful of scenes.  

 

Can you imagine a Crossfire TV Show or Movie without Angus?  

 

That's very true. We only saw Taylor I think 2 or 3 times and he only spoke when he was taking Ana to the helicopter. 

My mom just told me that she didn't like the movie because they made Christian Grey too soft and that they left out/changed too much from the book.

Have you heard a rumour that Dakota & Jamie might not play in number 2-3? If that turns out to be true, I don't think it will be the same, now that we're got 'a face' to the characters!

 

I heard that they had to sign contracts for all 3 already so hopefully that's true. I heard Rita Ora (Mia Grey) was upset that she had only 4 lines in the movie so she might not be back though.
