    Sensational!!

Toni, I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed POTN! Connor's story isn't the final book, no. There is much more of the story to tell. Connor is a very different character than Aidan, but he's capable of the same depth of emotion. When he falls, he falls hard and fast. You'll see a lot of Aidan and Lyssa in Connor's book, because they're pivotal to the entire Dream Guardian world. The characters all work together and interconnect, so you'll see them often in each other's books as the series continues. Hugs, Sylvia
  4. Yes, I do plan to write something for him. From the moment he first showed up in PASSION FOR THE GAME, I thought he'd make a wonderful hero. Hugs, Sylvia
  5. Yay! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed APFH! (and thank you for tracking it down from the back room. I went to my local BN last night and none of the November books were out yet. ) I just finished copy edits on Simon's story, so it's working its way to you, I promise! I hope you like that one, too. I admit, I've got a crush on Simon. Hugs, Sylvia
  6. Thank you, Jennifer! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Hugs, Sylvia
  7. Welcome, Stefanie, It's wonderful to have you here! I have a dog, too. A toy poodle/shi tzu mix. He's adorable, tiny, and sweet. I also have a sister. She, too, is adorable, tiny, and sweet. *g* How awesome that you bellydance! I don't know what a djembe is, though. Can you tell me? Hugs, Sylvia
  8. Thank you! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed WISH LIST. hugs, Sylvia
  9. Who's going? :D
  10. Hi Alice-Jane, Barnes & Noble started shipping A PASSION FOR HIM three weeks ago. (Both BN.com and Books-A-Million start shipping books early as a rule.) Amazon has an odd way of managing their pre-orders that causes frequent delays. So, yes the delay is due to Amazon alone. I've heard in the past that canceling a pre-order and then immediately re-ordering will cause the book to be shipped faster, but I don't know if that works. I've never tried it. It's available in stores in now, though, if that's any help. Thank you for ordering it! ((hugs)) Sylvia
  11. Thank you, Martha! That picture is one of my favorites, too. That mischievous gleam in his eye gets me every time. Hugs, Sylvia

  13. I can't tell you how happy your post makes me! ((hugs)) It's always a little rough around release time, wondering if readers will love the characters as much as you do. I'm so glad you're enjoying Colin and Amelia. Sylvia

  21. Hi Toni, I have two books in hardcover, but they're book club editions so I don't think your bookstore can order them. They're available here and sometimes they appear on Amazon and eBay. I'm sorry I don't know more than that. We used to have a Cybersignings program through one of my writing chapters, but I'm not sure if they're still doing that or not. I'll check with them and get back with you. Catching Caroline is a really, really short story. Around 30 pages, I think (if I remember correctly). It may eventually be printed as part of a larger collection, but at this time, there aren't any plans to do that. I'm sorry I don't have better news. Thank you for ordering Pleasures of the Night! I hope you enjoy it. ((hugs)) Sylvia
  22. Hi, Toni, and welcome! I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed a story of mine. Thank you so much! You made my day. Hugs, Sylvia
  23. From Amazon.com: Are you a writer longing to be discovered? Submit your manuscript for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. It’s the perfect opportunity to become the next great novelist: the winning author will receive a publishing contract from Penguin Group, including promotional support for their book on Amazon.com, and a media suite from Hewlett-Packard. All entrants are eligible to self-publish their novel with CreateSpace and sell it on Amazon.com. Enter your manuscript for consideration by November 5, 2007! The ENTIRE ms must be entered. http://www.amazon.com/abna Only the first 5000 entries will be accepted. Read the rules (I didn't read them because I'm not entering. *g*) to make sure there are no hidden clauses that are yucky. hugs, Sylvia
  24. Hi, and thank you! Everywhere. I've always been told that I have an active imagination. But usually the deciding factor for me in starting a book are these questions: "Have you read a book like this before?" and/or "Have you seen this character before?" If the answer is no, I know that's a story I want to tell. There's no point (for me) in trying to rewrite a story or character that has already been portrayed very well elsewhere. What would make a reader buy my story over a veteran author's story if they were similar? So I write what I hope are slightly unusual tales that readers can still relate to. I give a lot of credit to my editors, who let me take the risks I do. Thank you for reading them! I'm grateful. Hugs, Sylvia
