Gideon has already started to give up some of his precious control in order to have Eva. Is it Eva's resistance that makes her more attractive to him? He has to be out of his mind wondering why the he is willing to make concessions for her, yet he can't help himself from doing it. These are surely foreign feelings for our beloved Gideon.

I've just made a similar statement on a different thread. Eva has made great strides since the Brett days.

This is probably a huge part of the reason Gideon is so attracted to her. She is the first woman not falling at his feet. I also thought it gave us great insight into just how far she has come from when she was with Brett to now.

I loved that whole phone conversation especially Eva bringing Gideon to his knees. She had to know on some level she was just riling him up some more. He loves a challenge and had already admitted he doesn't take "no" for an answer.

I'm hoping it's light on drama between Gideon and Eva but heavy on drama with Gideon and Eva taking on the world TOGETHER.

GiGi I can't tell you how many times I lose a post on Goodreads and I always say I'll cut and paste, but am to impatient to do it. I would think they would be enough, but Gideon has told Eva countless times that he will never give her up, and that there will never be an "end" to them but that hasn't alleviated her fears. At one point I am sure he also tells her he'd kill for her, but he won't give her up... should have realized that was foreshawdowing when I read it the first time around.

I agree that she fell back into an old pattern Gigi. I think I wanted her to try and push away from him, although it all happened so quickly that I'm honestly not sure that she had time. Â My issue with Brett being back is exactly what you mentioned. It's something from her past that she's not proud of, and I felt like when she went to lunch with him, she realized that he was not something she wanted to "re-do" so to speak. So I realize the value of bringing him back in EWY I just can't entertain Eva even thinking about having anything with him, as Cary has suggested in one of the snippets. Eva loves Gideon, he's it for her.

I remember yours golfer because it was one of mine too, and I agree he can wipe chocolate from my mouth anyday...I'd prefer he'd use his tongue to get it off though.

Is it possible that Elizabeth started having an affair with Vidal Sr. while Gideon's dad was still alive, and that is what finally sent him over the edge? It would explain why Gideon hates Vidal.

How about when she "borrowed" Eva's dress in RIY when they were going to dinner and dancing after being pampered all day when Monica brought the spa to their apartment. Yes I think you are right Sscrph and Gigi Eva gets her fashion sense from her mother. I also have to agree with the stockings vs pantyhose statement you made Gigi.

I agree that he will want to try, but is Eva really going for any of that? I was screaming at my kindle when she was kissing him in RIY, I can't even entertain her thinking about having anything with Brett.

I want to believe that Brett is a non-issue. After everything Gideon has done for Eva, how can we even consider Brett a threat to their love?

I also think he got a phone call while they were in the hallway which is probably why Eva leaves. He had time to check his phone once he leaves the gym, unless of course he got an important business call and wasn't able to check other messages.

Good question Julie. I am under the impression that Gideon is keeping a "watchful eye" on Eva by having Angus tail her. He did "stop abruptly" when he saw her sitting there, so he does seem surprised, but he shouldn't have been if Angus was tailing her.

I love that pre-approved orifice line. I also love Eva's response a little further down when she says "I don't want you to do jack s***, besides let me get back to work." What is it about Eva that Gideon is so drawn to?
