  1. So someone had exactly 10 days to plan and execute the murder/cover-up of Nathan....Â
  2. Hi Sscrph, Do you think after all this time, Deanna would still be hot for Gideon? I was thinking about that and how her "encounter" with Gideon ended. It was seriously humiliating. Could it be that Deanna dropped the sex tape bomb because she wanted to stick it to Gideon once again (Gideon is crazy about someone who had a nasty past)?  Wouldn't that drive Gideon nuts; liking a woman who supposedly made a sex tape with an old boyfriend? What do you think? What does everyone think?Â
  3. IÂ think many of us think Victor is hot too! Â
  4. Hi Julie, I hope you have a blessed day.
  5. You make a lot of great points! Thank you for taking the time to write and post this. I really appreciate it! Â
  6. Beautifully said and well written. Â
  7. Hi Gabri, You make a compelling argument for Monica's strength. What I wonder is whether Monica was initially that strong after she found she was pregnant and when she got thrown out of her home. I wonder if she acquired her strength over the years or whether she came charging out of the gate that way.   My suggestion of the loan sharks and mob thing came from a thought that sometimes women don't know what goes on in their marriages. For some people, Gambling can be a severe addiction and I wonder if Monica was so self-absorbed to notice that her husband was gambling all the money away? Monica was completely checked out her first marriage to the point that her daughter was being tortured and brutally raped for four years. So I had to wonder if Monica may have checked out in a different way. Maybe she became hyper-obsessed with her daughter's safety so she took her eyes off of the family finances (or some such thing). It is just a thought. What do you think? Â
  8. So we have an aproximation and not an exact timeline. Do we know how many days after Monica saw Nathan outside of the Crossfire Building, he was killed?Â
  9.   Hi Barb & Julie, Could it be that Eva took Brett back up to her apartment because she saw Deanna in the lobby of her building and knew this woman's tricks about how to get information out of someone. Could it also be that Eva knew that Brett might spill some information about what Eva was like when she was younger and with him? Could it also be that Eva took Brett back upstairs because she wanted to give Deanna the false impression (and the police by proxy) that she had moved on with her life and was now seeing someone else? What do you ladies think? What does everyone think?
  10. Hi Fayeth, I understood that passage in the same way. It would make sense to try and get counseling before a divorce in order to try and save the marriage. I could be wrong as well though.
  11. Amen Sister!! I have been saying that Brett isn't a good thing for Eva. I think Brett loved how he looked in Eva's eyes. She absolutely worshiped him with her body (well technically she degraded herself in the hope's that Brett would like/love her).  I think that Brett loved how he felt when he was with her and didn't love her.  I can however see why Eva would keep Brett around(for a short while). I always thought that she kept up the pretense because of the fact that Nathan's murder still hasn't been solved and that Gideon could still potentially be a suspect. I could be wrong, who knows? I hope that Eva ditches Brett once and for all. Once Eva's engagement becomes public there really won't be any need for Brett to be in the picture.   What does everyone think?
  12. Hi Fayeth, I agree. I think that Monica and Elizabeth will get into the "mother" of all "freaking" fights! I can't see Elizabeth Vidal being too pleased about the fact that her son is marrying someone she clearly dislikes. Eva has confronted Elizabeth Vidal at least three times that I can remember (someone correct me if I am wrong) and each exchange between these two women has become increasingly hostile after each fight. So somehow I can't see Elizabeth Vidal suddenly making nice with anyone from Eva's clan for the "wedding of the year".  I can see Monica and Stanton paying for the wedding but I am not sure how much Victor could contribute to such an extravagent event on a cop's salary. I could also see Gideon possibly stepping in to pay for the wedding as well (if finances posed a problem for anyone).  I didn't see any lengthy discussions about the prenup. Could you let me know which thread those discussions were please? Thanks in advance.  My understanding was that if Gideon and Eva were to divorce, they were obliged to seek marital couseling and mediation.  I agree with your comments. It is clear that Gideon loves Eva dearly and even if the worst were to happen to them, he wants to ensure that she is provided for emotionally as well as financially.  What does everyone think?Â
  13. Hi Jewhite611, Welcome to the fo rum. I hope you enjoy yourself.  In response to some of your questions, it was my understanding that Eva made Clancy aware that the jig was up. She knew that she was being tracked and she didn't appreciate it one bit.  I think that the only person who knows that Gideon killed Nathan is Eva. I don't think that Gideon would have confessed to his lawyer about committing a murder. I think that the lawyer would be under some kind of legal obligation to report a crime, but there are others who are experts (lawyers) in the forum who would be able to answer that question with a certain accuracy.  I personally don't think that Detective Graves is on Gideon's side whatsoever. I think that she would absolutely pin Nathan's murder on Gideon if she had enough evidence, but thus far she doesn't. She only has her own suppositions and speculations. She doesn't have a shred of evidence (finger prints, blood, fibres, photos, surveilence footage, eye witnesses, etc.) against Gideon so she can't procede. What does everyone else think?
  14.  Hi Sheens, I agree. I think that Gideon will need to hash this entire thing out with his mother if he wants to move forward and hopefully heal. I just wonder if that can happen. On page 351, Elizabeth Vidal says: "You're filling his head with lies." That line makes me wonder whether, after all these years, if Elizabeth still believes that Gideon was lying. What do you think? What does everyone think?
  15. Hi Sharon, I agree. I don't think that Gideon shared anything for a long time (if anything at all). It is completely plausible that Angus may have threatened Hugh. I can hardly wait until the next book. I would love to know how the whole abuse scenario ended. It will be very interesting to find out. Â
  16. Hi Sscrph, How interesting. I never even thought that after reading the passage. I thought that he was nothing more than a snarky Frenchman who had lost control of his marriage (i.e. was completely clueless as to what was going on with his wife) and made himself look like a d*ck while talking to Eva.Â
  17. Hi Sharon, I agree. I don't think that Gideon ever discussed his se**al preferences with any of his previous partners either.  It is so apparent that you have done Power Point presentations! I only wish I had a few of those when I was doing my presentations....mind you, I am not sure any of my professors would have liked any of the photos. All of my professors thus far have been men.
