  1.  Hi Peachies, Again, I go back to who found out about Corinne first? Who told whom and who assembled this grieving crew?  I was surprised that Jean Francois just sat there and let Elizabeth Vidal orchestrate that entire scene. Did he not notice that Elizabeth was busy calling her son to come to the hospital? Everyone says that it is Corinne who was hurting Gideon by attempting suicide but has anyone stopped to consider that it was HIS MOTHER who called him to let him know and ask him to go to the hospital? What is up with that?! Wouldn’t Elizabeth Vidal (quite frankly lizard) Vidal know, OF ALL PEOPLE, how much this would upset her son? Wouldn’t she want to protect her son from this kind of news? Elizabeth Vidal, of all people should know this, because her husband killed himself. At this point Corinne is a lost case, it is everyone else in the situation, making everything worse. What do you think?
  2. Hi Everyone, I am not so sure that Cary is that great a judge of character. He never told Eva about the band, when she and Gideon went to the concert.  Eva and Gideon went through a lot as a result of his "lack of information". Cary also had an orgy in the first book.  It didn't show a lot of good judgment in my opinion (it has created alot of problems for Gideon as a result-but Gideon is also to blame because he put his hands on Ian). Cary also got Tatiana pregnant and again I don't think that showed good judgment either.  Just my thoughts.Â
  3. Hi Everyone, I just had another quick question for the ladies and Syliva: Â Was Brett aware of the s** tape that Sam Y made and if so, why did he tape himself without Eva's knowledge or consent? Thanks in advance. GiGi
  4. Hi Julie, That was my question. When Monica and Clancy both saw Nathan outside of the Crossfire Building I wondered how Clancy might have been so familiar with him. I wasn't sure if Monica/Clancy/Eva all came as a package deal when she married Stanton. Good to know. Thanks.
  5. Hi Everyone, I had a question or two for Sylvia if she would like to answer: How long had Gideon been abused? The book states that Gideon was abused by the grad student and that they had contact when Elizabeth Vidal started seeking counseling for her difficult pregnancy and her out of control children.  Did the abuse continue after Elizabeth Vidal gave birth to Ireland and if it did, how long after?  Thanks in advance. GiGi
  6. I think that is a great question. I think that Elizabeth Vidal touched Eva like that because she either doesn't have any boundaries or doesn't respect other people's boundaries. Then again I defer to the expert Sylvia...Â
  7. Hi Rogue, I agree with you in that Magdalene knows Gideon better than Corinne did, but I believe that the only person who has ever truly known Gideon is Eva. In order to really know someone, you have know at least some of their dark secrets. If not, then all that person is seeing is the exterior and not the complete person. Do you know what I mean?
  8.  Hi Peachies, I agree completely! I almost think that this is the first time that Eva told her mom how she really felt. Up until then, Eva always tempered her upsets and reactions with her mother. Being with Gideon has almost given her some confidence and dare I say security (and safety) which is allowing her to grow as a human being.Â
  9. Hi Gabri, Those are all great lines!
  10. I was just wondering, did you have a chance to write a review for any of the books? Many of the forum members have suggested this. I am absolutely sure that your enthusiasm would to WONDERS to lift the spirits of all those who have loved the books thus far and have had to read some seriously sucky reviews. Â
  11. Hi Rogue, I agree that Magdalene has been friends with Gideon for a long time and I am sure that she would want the best for Gideon. I just think that it stick in her craw that Gideon's choice is Eva and not her.  I guess I wonder why Magdalene would think to appoint herself the "conveyor of all information" Corinne? What I find interesting is that Magdalene has never truly gone out of her way to appologize to Eva for how she treated her in the past. What would make her think that Eva would want to pursue a friendship with Magdalene? What do you think?
  12. Hi Jennpenn926, You made another good point. I never noticed that the cuffs weren’t attached to anything. If they were attached to something, it wasn’t mentioned in the book. So what you are saying then is that the cuffs were more of a symbolic representation of Gideon binding Eva to him (his heart binding with hers). Am I correct?Â
  13.  Hi Jennpenn926, I just wanted to add that stopping the scene is never a form of punishment either (i.e. all love making ends). It just means that what was going before (cuffs, binds, blindfolds, etc.) come off.Â
  14. Hi Sharonm745, Victor did a great job of being a dad to Eva. Although Monica provided the monetary lifestyle, it seems that Victor provided the much needed guidance and emotional support that Eva needed as a young adult (and needed desperately as a child). He also listened to his gut and got Eva help when she needed it the most.  It is somehow funny and yet sad, Victor seems to be the only "parent" out of the two of them, constantly. Eva can talk to her dad and even yell at him and he never waivers. Eva never worries about upsetting her dad or worries about his fagility. It is heartwarming to see that Eva had someone very stable in her life (even if it was for her late teenage years and young adult life). Did you or anyone else notice that?Â
  15. Hi Sscrph, I really hope that Eva doesn’t find herself in danger in either of the two final books. Can you or anyone think of how it might help bring Gideon and Eva closer? I can't think of anything off hand. Â
  16. Hi Jennpenn926, I agree that Detective Graves wouldn’t waste any sleep over the loss of Nathan or the Russian mob. I just get the sense that this woman wouldn’t be the kind of detective that would sit on evidence that could help further her career. If she could solve Nathan’s murder and find some incriminating evidence against the Russian mob, then all-the better. I think she would be laughing all the way down to the promotions ceremony.  I think you are absolutely right. She doesn’t know whose planting what evidence and trying to frame whom for what. So from that perspective I could see her being very nervous. Again, I think it could relate back to her professional career being on the line. She and her partner are responsible for the investigation of these two crimes. So I guess only time will tell how these complex storylines will play out and whether the “good detective†has a heart or whether she is looking out for herself.
  17. Hi Jessica, Holy crap! Wouldn’t that be the twist of all time; Stanton getting nailed for Nathan’s murder. That would be one for the twist of all times book!
  18. Hi Sscrph, Do you think that Tatiana hooked up with Cary because he was finally starting to get noticed? He landed a few accounts in a short amount of time, or do you think that Tatiana thinks that Cary has money and she hooked up with him with that assumption in mind?
  19. Hi Nrock, I think that Eva has been the only constant in his life since he met her. Eva has always been the one to help him get his head screwed on straight when he has screwed up (case in point the orgy scene), but I have to wonder if Cary isn’t worried even just a little bit over the fact that Eva is moving on with her life? What do you think? What does everyone think?
  20. Hi Sharonm745, Do you think that Cary would have told Tatiana about the whole orgy thing or do you think that he would have been smart enough to keep that kind of information to himself? It would be a real shame if Tatiana was the one to betray Cary’s confidence (if he told her).
  21. Hi Everyone, I was reading everyone’s posting on Clancy and my question would be; if Clancy knew about what was going on, then why didn’t he do something to prevent Eva’s abuse? I guess at what point did Clancy know, what he knew and what did he do to correct the situation if any?Â
  22. Hi Sscrph, What an interesting thought. It is true that Eva is Monica’s daughter and Monica is married to Stanton, so it could make sense that they might still be on the suspect list. Hey here’s an idea. Victor finds out about Eva’s past, freaks out, gets on a plane to come and see his daughter and confront the mother of his child.  Victor calls Monica demanding a meeting because he is way off!! Monica finds out that she/Stanton are still suspects and she begins to explain what was going on during her marriage to Mr. Barker. Presto, wham, Victor and Monica wind up horizontal…what do you think? What does everyone think?
  23. Hi Peachies, Did you notice how Elizabeth Vidal was orchestrating the entire scenario at the hospital (ye I stated that in another posting), but when I went back and re-read the passage, I noticed that Jean Francois was almost like an outsider himself. Corinne was his wife and yet he seemed to be playing second fiddle during the entire situation. My question would be why wouldn’t Jean Francois tell Elizabeth Vidal to sit down and shut the heck up?! Did you/anyone also notice that Corinne’s parents weren’t stepping up in support of him either? Do you have any thoughts?
  24. Hi Rogue, Could it be that Deanna’s agenda is money? Money always seems to talk in some situations. If you can’t have what you want (Deanna having Gideon) then have what you want (Deanna helping herself to wad of cash courtesy of Gideon)? What do you think? What does everyone think?
