Hi Sharonm745, It wouldn't surprise me if Gideon had someone with a telephoto lens quietly taking photos for them to have. I could just see Eva mentioning something in passing and Gideon surprising her with a photo album full of wedding photos from their beach ceremony. Just when you think Gideon forgets something, he always pops up and surprises. Just a thought.Â

Hi Sharonm745, I think everything you said is true. I think that getting married and being married requires a shift in mind set. Maybe Eva is in the process of transitioning from being single Eva to married Eva. I haven't been married so I wouldn't know It is just a thought.Â

Hi Sharonm745, I think that everything you said is absolutely plausible. It could be that Victor and Monica were arguing and that one thing led to another. I could completely see a scenario like that.  I have to ask one thing though; would it be fair to any woman who might date Victor (if he finally dropped his torch of Monica) to get scraps or less than all of Victor's heart? Is it fair to any woman who might date a man who might never be able to fully or completely love them because they still hold a part of their heart back? Just a thought.Â

I also don’t think that Monica would have been an escort either. You made a really good point about being presented in society. I think that if anything, Monica may have been fed a bunch of lies as a young woman who didn’t necessarily know the ways of men and of the world. That would be a far cry from being a kept mistress or an escort.  I hope we get the opportunity to see what makes Monica tick. Something tells me that there is quite a story there. I think that she does love Eva as well. Monica just doesn’t know how to have a healthy with her daughter and that is sad.  Thank you.Â

Hi Mam2e, I feel really badly for Cary as well. It is incredibly sad that one mis-step can lead to a lifetime of stress and aggravation. I don't think that Tatiana would be kind and understanding if she and Cary didn't wind up together. I could see her using her baby against Cary and making his and the baby's life miserable. Sad.

HI Mam2e, As strange as it may seem, I don’t think that Gideon would want to burden Angus with that kind of secret. I think that Angus has done so much for Gideon in childhood and adulthood that I could see him not wanting to make Angus an accessory after the fact (i.e. Gideon wouldn’t want to tell Angus about his crimes and put him in the position where he could be prosecuted if the case ever went to trial). I think Gideon is just in an impossible situation. He doesn’t really have anyone that he can talk to openly and freely. Maybe with time and healing he might be able to unburden himself to Eva but that would depend on Eva’s state of mind and her ability to bear all the details of the murder. Thus far, I don’t think that Eva would be able to handle it. What do you think?

Hi Sscrph, Could it be that Gideon specifically saw those videos of Eva being tortured and raped, in order for Gideon to; justify to himself, that planning the murder of Nathan, was necessary. Gideon would have seen first-hand evidence of how sick and malicious and what a danger to Eva Nathan was.   Maybe watching those videos helped Gideon to make up his mind about how to deal with Nathan. If he had any reservations before deciding to kill Nathan, maybe watching those videos eliminated any lingering doubts for Gideon. What do you think?Â

Hi Kirsten, From the bottom of my heart thank you!! I am so glad that Canada and the US aren't that different in the law. I am also very grateful that you, a lady with expertise in this field have also chimed in on this subject.   I agree with you completely, Nathan was despicable and a clear danger to Eva. There has never been question about that. I am just so glad that the "Justifiable Homicide" arguement can finally be laid to rest. You have the expertise and the knowledge about a subject like this and I can't even begin to tell you how invaluable it is to this forum. Thank you.      Â

  Hi Julie, I read your post and you are absolutely correct. We have no idea what Monica’s past was like. I think for me, it is hard for me to make leap that Monica was a “high class escort†because I think that Monica would have had more standards than that.  Maybe Monica scrubbed toilets for a living, or cleaned homes, or waitressed or whatever other jobs she may have found beneath her upbringing or her status in society. Could it be that Monica had to frequent pawn shops to sell family jewelry that may have been near and dear to her heart? Who knows? I just don’t see Monica spreading her legs for money. I think that maybe Monica did lots of things that she found humiliating and degrading because of the way she was raised. Maybe Monica was humiliated by people whom she used to call friends. Maybe they made fun of her because she was unmarried and pregnant and without money or a family. I could see that as being very humiliating for a woman of Monica’s age.  I don’t know if Monica is the kind of woman who could sell her body for money. Somehow it may be a step too far for. It takes a special breed of woman (by life or by circumstance) that could think that the only way that she would be able to survive is to sleep with men. It is that kind of woman that would have no concept either internally or externally that would think that was her only option in life.  I don’t know that Monica was that uneducated (she must have received some sort of scholastic education and/or finishing school as a child of privilege) or not schooled in life.   Something else that you said, got me to thinking that men don’t often marry their hookers (yes yes I know we call them high class escorts, wink, wink) but anyway you cut it, these are working girls. Working in an industry where the vag*** is for sale. Monica seems to be of the generation that there are women you date and women that you marry.  Escorts sell the fantasy of se*. They offer every dirty fantasy that men desire at an extremely high cost. Men come to these women for the fantasies that they don’t dare ask for from their wives (fantasy and not reality). Men keep mistresses because they want to maintain their illusions. They want to be the powerful men in bed (even though they may suck at it with their own wives). Mistresses have to say, “that’s ok baby, I love men with small pen****, or that’s ok baby, I don’t mind that you can’t get it upâ€, etc.  Monica doesn’t seem to be able to tolerate any inconveniences much less confrontations of any sort. So how would she be able to tolerate being used sexually by men without her going bonkers! I think that she absolutely offers the naughty bits in order to land a husband, but not for the sake of a cash transaction.  You are again correct. We don’t know how Victor factored into this scenario. It will be interesting to see what role, if any, he may have played.  I think that I will give Monica the benefit of the doubt on this one. She absolutely stinks as a mother (no doubt there) and may never be able to put her daughter above her own needs (that would be incredibly sad) but I will wait to hear that from Sylvia’s lips (as the saying goes). Your theory is interesting and it certainly makes the discussion really interesting. Thanks for the discussion.    P.S. Classy ladies don’t sleep with men for money. Wh*res sleep with men for money. Classy ladies sell their jewelry in order to survive. They scrub toilets and wait tables. They clean houses and take jobs as domestics in order to put food on the table for themselves and their children. They take every other option in life before they degrade themselves and set that standard for their children.

Hi Golfergirl, I was thinking that from a lay person's view the miscarriage seemed very spontaneous and I wasn't sure if that is the way this normally happens for women. I have had friends in the past who have sufferd miscarriages but none of them suffered a miscarriage this quick. It just struck me as a little odd.  Thanks again.

Hi Julie, I just wanted to clarify that I couldn't see Monica as an escort becuase somewhere deep down inside, I don't think that Monica would want to "service" married men. I don't see her as an intentional home wrecker. I could wrong, but I think that even Monica has some standards.  P.S. Yes I know that she cheated on Stanton and has potentially wrecked her own marriage, I don't think that she would purposely set about to wreck another person's marriage. Just a thought.Â

Hi Julie, So you suspect that Elizabeth Vidal was an escort prior to landing a husband? The concept is intersting but I am not sure I would buy that. I know that as pragmatic as Monica may appear to be, somehow I don't see her a a high class hooker. I can't see her being paid for sex or even being kept as a mistress on the side (basically a long term hooker rental). Who know's though.  I could see Monica dating or being the girlfriend of a Mob Boss and then getting out of the situation. I could also see her dating some really shady characters but I just don't see that scenario. It is just my gut feeling, but again, who know's it coudl just be indigestion.Â

Hi Sscrph, I guess I would wonder how the connection would be made between Tatiana and Ian? She wasn't there and was modelling out of the country. So unless Cary accidentally said something to Tatiana, I can't see how she would link Gideon with the events. What has everyone surmised thus far? How did everyone connect the dots?
