Shortly after midnight my cellphone pinged stating that my account had been charged for OWY and low and behold it appeared on my Kindle!!!   Needless to say, I started reading and about 7 hours later I was finished.  I loved, loved , loved it!!  On such a fast read I believe that all my questions were answered.  I will make sure on my slower re-read.  I laughed and cried....had an unexpected turn of events near the end, but I coped (like Eva).  Thank you Sylvia for such a lovely ending....I wished this series would never end, but oh well. As they say "alls well that ends well"  Can't wait to hear from others after they have finished reading...

In the updated version of the exerpt released for chapter two, I was surprised that Eva hadn't told Gideon in the breakroom in chapt one that she had quit her job....maybe she didn't have enough time with her just being on a break and so upset with her father.  My favorite line in chapt two is from Arash when he said....when we blew out Cinco de Mayo you tagged two women and then a few weeks later you are having me draft an insane pre-nup.....Wish we could have been in on that party in May...!!  Arash didn't do too good a job of stopping Corrine did he?!  Not much longer to wait!!  Hope I am not disappointed

Just an observation not really a complaint.  Noticed on Facebook postings from this sight that someone said that 9.99 for kindle was sorta high.  I agree....book copy is 9.83 and the kindle version will be 9.99....thought Kindle was supposed to be cheaper...all my other Kindle books have been between 1.99 and 8.99.  Still looking forward to my download  BTW I have ordered the paperback version too....wanted the complete set to have and to hold!!

 

Rogue like me you have had too much time on your hands to dwell on this series.  I for one will be sorry when it ends.  I have stated before that I too was irritated with Eva at the beginning of CBY when she was confused about Brett.  If she wanted anything to do with him and( after she got her head together better) she could have always gotten in contact with him.  She didn't even know that his band had changed their name.  Eva sorta has a double standard.  In EWY when she went out with her girlfriends she was dancing with other men, she did get Gideon to come to her, but still she did a lot of so called flirting.  But when in CBY that Gideon stated that he would go out with his guy friends she started asking all these questions and getting jealous, guess because she would be out of town and couldn't be with him when he came home.  I too felt she should not have asked Brett back up to her apartment, like you said.....thanks for the evening see you next time maybe.  But she really didn't like it when Gideon took Deanna to a bar so that he could apologize (sorta) for  the way he treated her  ( at least he did get some important info from her)

Not much longer (for me at least) for OWY.....I am on the East Coast and midnight 4/5/16 can't get here soon enough.  Can't wait to discuss OWY with everyone

Just found another interview with Sylvia this week, she confirms in it that the timescale is June to September.

That time frame of June-September makes me a little nervous.  I hope we get the wedding and Gideon's birthday.  I guess OWY starts early September??  BTY was June/July, RIY July/August, EWY August, CBY August? then OWY.  I am sorta confused, cause I felt that RIY was the longer time frame since Gideon and Eva were apart so long until Eva learned the truth about the breakup?  Tuesday can't get here soon enough.  Hope my download from Amazon comes soon after midnight EST.

Don't believe Cary has let Anne in the building or the apartment.  He only "smoothed" Anne out at the benefit and after Eva questioned him about the lady's name I don't think he is that stupid to get near Anne again.  Cary isn't the best BFF.....the clusterf**k at the end of BTY with Ian getting a settlement from Gideon, not telling Eva who Six Ninth really was,  so many to write.

The radio interview  that Sylvia gave was interesting.  Guess she is glad to be finished and I am glad she is happy with the ending.  Five books with so many plot lines to tie up is hard, especially with us always coming up with something new and wanting closure on so many questions.  She likes to keep her fans happy.  Hopefully Lionsgate doesn't take too long to get the book to TV.

IMO.....The therapist with the undergrad (Hugh) who treated Gideon and then Elizabeth was NOT Anne.  That would be too sick for Gideon to have anything to do with her.  Remember he was scre*ing Anne to get to Terry Lucas.  It was bad enough Elizabeth asking Dr. Terry to look at Gideon (if he was related to Hugh at the time).  Be curious to find out what conversation Gideon overheard thinking that his Mom was telling Chris about Gideon's accusations.

The TeaserTuesday I believe is Gideon having a conversation with either Arash or Arnoldo as to why he always works so hard.  Gideon had mentioned in earlier books why he worked to make the Cross name better, now he really has a reason EVA.

Hopefully this time next week I will be almost finished reading the book....with a slower re-read to follow.  Fingers crossed for a HEA and all my and our questions answered.

Agreed, I am also happy that Victor called Monica to discuss Eva and Gideon's eloping I wonder if we will get if the conversation also included what they did.

Yes after Eva got that upsetting phone call from her Dad saying he knew about Nathan Gideon had her look at the revamped website to get her mind fixating on something else.  Eva said they worked fast

Both women made good points about letting info out about Gideon and Eva as a couple.  Some info is good, pictures of them together and such, but nothing too intimate.  Like Eva wanted to do in EWY....let the world know that Corrine was married.  People need to remember that she broke  up with Gideon, went and married another guy....like this has been at least 4 years.  Why write a tell all now???  Make it look like Corrine is seeking attention.

Eva needs to talk this over with Gideon and make sure he is on board with idea.  

Now we need chapter two!!  I know....the whole thing will be available 4/5/16!!

In searching through the e-book just for the word 'Lucas' I came across something in CBY where Gideon says to Eva "If I hadn't used Deanna to send a message to Anne that the door was closed between us, she would've been just a one-night stand.  Over and done with."  I thought she was a one night stand?  He had said earlier in the storyline "She was a mistake in every sense.  She made herself available once, and I make it a rule to avoid overly eager women a second time."  and further down the page "I used Deanna to keep Anne from approaching me.  I didn't feel good about it afterward and I didn't handle it well."

Some of your thoughts to the timeline for Anne L could be overlapping.  Like challenging Hugh about setting up a fund to prosecute him if he ever abuses another  child...he could have done that while in college seeing Corrine.  Also I think Gideon saying that Deanna made herself available and that he likes to avoid overly eager women a second time and using Deanna to keep Anne from approaching  him were one and the same instance, then when he went back to his f**kpad with Deanna and answered the phone that really irritated Deanna.  Just thinking here.

We have to remember that Gideon is not always forthcoming with the truth.  He doesn't lie persay, just doesn't explain himself properly.  Like when he told Eva that he has had more sex with her than he had in the past 3 years, then telling Dr Peterson that he would have women maybe twice a week.  He justified that to Eva by saying that he always didn't use his d*ck and felt that they weren't the same.

Noticed the new topic line for OWY...we normally include chapter discussion *spoiler alert* to the past book discussions.  Just 11 more days.  Hope we get an Easter addition to chapter one.....like the rest of chapter one!!

there's a tweet that asks where should Eva, Cary and friends go for her bachelorette party?  Las Vegas. Rio, Miami, or Ibiza.  I would pick Las Vegas since Gideon owns property there and her SD friends would be closer.  Or better yet since Gideon is due a batchelor party they should combine them (this would alleviate the jealous and possesivnes of them both).  Have another group party starting on Gideon's plane and ending in Vegas, since Eva likes to drink and have sex they will be close to each other!!!

It was strange for Gideon not to kiss Eva goodbye on the lips.....Hope things are going well for them!!

It is odd Gideon being so evasive and wanting to make sure that Eva will be home that day.   Very weird for him to say, stop nagging, and he is full of himself stating that he could f**k her with his blue tie on when he gets home!!

If I remember correctly, Mark had stated at the Wednesday lunch that he had a problem.  He had told WFL about his offer to go to CI and that he would be leaving in October.  Then WFL gave him a counter offer (not as much $$ as CI), but Mark feels some loyalty to them and is afraid that LanCorp will pull the account if he is not there to handle it.  That is when Eva tells him that no matter what she wouldn't/can't work on that account with him.  So don't know why Mark is so surprised or shocked.

I don't believe Tatiana's baby is Cary's.  Remember she just came back in RIY after being gone for a photo shoot and that is when she learned about Cary's attack.  She could have fooled around when she was out of town.  They aren't exclusive either.

Hope we do get an Easter addition to chapter one!!  The exerpts are nice, but I can hear Sylvia laughing in the background about our speculations.

Oh yeah. did you guys see the photo/tweet of the difference in size of OWY and RIY?!  Two weeks from now hopefully I will be almost finished reading OWY

Has anyone read the Outlander series?  I love the way Diana Gabaldon writes. As much as I love the relationship of Gideon and Eva, the relationship between Claire and Jamie is one I feel I became a part of while reading it. The audiobooks are the best ones I ever heard also. The narrator, Davina Porter is fantastic doing all the voices.

there is a tweet from Sylvia asking....Should Trey forgive Cary?    That is a hard question.  Was their relationship exclusive?  Didn't Cary meet both Trey and Tatiana at the same time?  I mean if you have casual sex with lots of people (even if you are "careful") accidents do happen, Trey just can't get pregnant.  Don't really know if Cary has done something to be forgiven for? other than having relations with men and women.  Did Trey know about the blonde that Cary did at the Advocacy dinner the first night that Gideon and Eva had sex?  That is a really hard question, but can Trey be with Cary knowing that he may or may not be having a baby?  Just glad that I don't have to decide.  Can't wait for 4/5/16!!

I believe they are talking about the audio version of the books.  I think you can hear them on you tube under sylvia day.  CBY is the first book that had both narrators.

another thought concerning Elizabeth.  When Eva first confronted her Elizabeth said that Christopher was there and said nothing happened.  Why take the word of a 5/6 year old over a 10/11 year old?  also if they were in the bathroom alot, who would have seen them?  Maybe Hugh didn't bother Christopher because of his age, and if Gideon's abuse stopped after a year, hopefully Hugh was sent packing from whoever stopped Gideon's abuse!!  Like everyone says, we have to wait until 4/5/16 to get our answers.

Yes Deanna has gone too far.  What did she expect from being "picked up"?  Like Eva said in EWY you are giving casual sex a bad name. If Gideon took all the women (2 times a week no repeats) to his f**k  pad, how did he get them not to talk. Sign a NDA? Remember he is THE Gideon Cross

Yes I got the same feelings why Gideon had a preference for willowy brunettes. My questions were how long the abuse lasted and most of all HOW the abuse stopped. 4/5/16 can't get here soon enough. Also wanted to know why Elizabeth still wants to deny that anything happened 

Just finished rereading CBY when Gideon finally tells Dr Peterson about his abuse he said it lasted about a year so some of my questions were answered. Now I need to find out how it stopped. Gideon would have been 11/12 years old not old/big enough to fend off Hugh

I just loved the new excerpt. Especially when Gideon said "Victor you seemed to have upset Eva so you will be talking to me now". Thank you Sylvia for s gift on your birthday
