I agree with you, Patricia-Ann, on this theory.  Gideon just wants Eva to be happy and not stressed out with what Monica wants.  He could probably care less, he has had the wedding he wanted:  On a beach with just the two of them and of course Angus.

relying on the last teaser, it seems that "her day" should be the wedding.  Remember it is for friends and family only, so it won't be too large.  The reception should be another story.

Just interested, what make you think that this will be the shortest of all the books?  Are you meaning in time frame or how many pages?  RIY covered about 5 weeks, and the others have been about 4 weeks.

 

Thought I would try a new topic:   Who do you think will be in the wedding party?  For Eva's side, I think of course Cary, and Ireland.  Probably maybe Megumi and Shawna.  For Gideon's side, Angus as best man, Arnoldo, Arash and maybe Manual.  But I can't figure out how the walk out would go?  What with Cary being male; I personally don't know how those things work out when a guy is on the bride's side.  This may make the wedding party too large for a just friends and family wedding.  Hopefully Gideon's family will show up (maybe not Christopher) and we know Eva has her mom and her father.  Victor will be walking her down the aisle!!

Any ideas?  We have to think of something to keep us occupied until April 5, 2016.

Does any one remember when Sylvia said that Eva and Gideon were "born".  Thought I remember reading somewhere that Gideon was a Virgo which is 8-23 through 9-22 (hopefully there will be a little party for Gideon in OWY) and that Eva was an Aries which is 3-21 through 4-19.  If so, maybe the release date of  April 5 is Eva's "birthdate"...Just thinking, just like the release of Grey was 6-18 Christian's b'day. (I know different author)

Welcome to the group!!   To the best of my knowledge, we don't know for sure if Christopher was abused.  We do know that Christopher thinks that Gideon hates him and would love to really hurt him.  I just think that Christopher is just jealous, but he could have been abused  ( we just don't know).  I am still waiting to find out when and how Gideon's abuse stopped.  Maybe when we do we can get an idea about Christopher.

Hopefully Sylvia wouldn't do that to us, she did promise a HEA.  Their first kiss was in his office, after she had lunch with Stanton and found out they were tracking her cell phone.  She was really P**sed .  That kiss was something else, it ended up with them on the couch!!!  Then Scott over the intercom said his next meeting was waiting.

I, too, liked both versions, but I really enjoyed Gideon's POV.  I love the interaction he has with Arash, and we get more insight of Gideon's life before Eva.  Like when Arash, said that during Cinco de Mayo Gideon tagged two women and then a few weeks later, he is having Arash draw up an insane pre-nup.  During CBY it was nice "meeting" Gideon's friends.  I am still wondering if the Cinco de Mayo blowout was at his "f**kpad" hotel, cause that is the only place that he had consensual sex.

That makes sense, but the segue does not.  First Eva says to her mom she needs her advice on how to be a better wife to Gideon.  Then on to her Mom asking if either one is having an affair.  Then Eva tells her mom that they eloped several weeks ago.  I chuckled when Monica asks if they got married without a pre-nup, then is upset when no one has gone over it.  Loved Eva's reply "a six year could have understood that pre-nup"  which is true....she got 10 million up front just for saying "I do"  then it only got better.Then Eva says they could meet for lunch, she has to hurry to get ready for work, and then Eva says Corrine's name.  Just saying, the segue is off.

 

 

I was a little confused with the ending of the second scene of OWY.   What did Eva mean by saying Corrine's name....she can't be going to confront her now, since she is late for work.  Wonder what kind of advice Monica can give Eva on being the wife that Gideon needs?  I am sure Sylvia will explain everything in time, I was thrilled to receive the second scene, but as I said, I was confused....   Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

really excited that we finally got a release date.  4/5/2016.  (what happened to having the books coming out one after the other with little time in between?  oh well). 

Really love the cover with their wedding rings.  Eva is one lucky girl to get the band that diamonds go all around..  Gideon's ring is nice too!!.

Loved the first scene in chapter one, can't wait to find out how Eva gives her notice to WF&L.

Now the count down, hope we get lots of snippets and maybe more chapters.  I am really going to be sad when there is no more Crossfire 

 

 

 

IMO, yes he did set out to kill Nathan.  He set up that Kingsman party, had Corrine on his arm, then that fire happened so that he could slip away and he had an air tight alibi for Eva.  He even had stated in CBY to Eva, that was the only recourse....it was 24/7 security, restraining orders, etc.  ( I wish he didn't have to commit murder to solve a problem like Nathan)

All the suggestions for the "wish list" have been great.  I would like to find out how and when Gideon's abuse stopped.  Also why Christopher hates Gideon so much.  Was he a pawn in Hugh's abuse, or as Eva said in RIY he was just so jealous of Gideon because Gideon was so much better looking, had more money and was just "more". And last but not least, I want Gideon's therapy sessions with Dr. Peterson to be beneficial so that Gideva can have a happy and bright future together.

just a thought.....after re-reading RIY and of course the others:  One of the reasons that Gideon wasn't a suspect in Nathan's murder was that he had "dumped" Eva for Corrine; but when the police came on Friday to question Eva about Nathan, Gideon was there.  How can he explain himself being there (even though it was a family dinner) to the police when they were supposedly broken up????    Just thinking about things to get my mind off OWY

I have finished rereading the Crossfire series (again) and the two excerpts for OWY.  Here is the scenario I have for why and how Eva leaves her job.

I am assuming that it is Thursday after Gideon and Eva met for coffee early in the morning...Mark has informed WF&L that he will be accepting their offer and will be staying, but that Eva won't be helping him with the LanCorp Acct.  When WF&L informs LanCorp that Mark will be heading their account, but with a new assistant they are NOT happy and insist that Miss Trammell be on their account.  I feel they want her there so that she and, of course Cross Industries, takes the blame for some kind of leak or product failure.  Also I believe that Landon wants to be able to boast that he has the GREAT Gideon Cross's fiancee/wife at his beck and call.  WF&L informs Eva that she is in no position to pick and choose which accounts she will work on and that she must  work on the LanCorp Account or leave.  Eva gives them her notice, and that is why the next day or Friday will be her last day.....

Sorry that I rambled on, but it has been 11 months and I miss Eva and Gideon.  I need to know how their story ends and how they get their HEA !!

Well people, I am truly pathetic.....I am rereading the Crossfire series ( I have lost count as to how many times), but I am reading them slowly....also reading another book along with it.  Maybe by the time that I have finished all four books, we will have a release date.  Don't think I will be reading them that slow, but one can hope!!!

yes, David Gandy is gorgeous!!!, but I always pictured Gideon clean shaven.  Don't remember Eva ever mentioning facial hair. (like in FSOG and his designer stubble).  We need someone the right age 28 and with shoulder length hair!!

more than 5 books would be fine with me, that way we can get more of Gideva!!  Maybe a baby story to go with it!!, but I do remember a while back that Sylvia said that  she had finished writing the Crossfire series and that OWY would come out shortly after CBY.  (maybe I misread something)  I remember seeing an interview that Diana Gabaldon gave concerning her Outlander series.  She signed a 3 book deal, but she had told them it wasn't a trilogy, that there was more to come, and boy was there!!!  8 books and at least one more!!!

Anyways I am still waiting patiently.   (I still put the blame of the delay with the publisher)  Sylvia has been a busy woman lately.....  Cheers

 

 

I look for Gideon to buy the publishing company that will be publishing Corrine's book.  Hopefully problem solved.

 

Also I believe Eva never really talked to Terry Lucas until RIY while Cary was in the hospital and Eva was writing  that letter to Gideon.  and Sylvia has said that the red head in BTY was NOT Anne Lucas.

I too don't trust Deanna.....she has something up her sleeve.  Gideon beware.

I was wondering from the snippett from OWY . what made Eva finally decided to leave her job.  Wonder if the Langdon Executives put pressure on her to work on their product.

 

 

​I think she is just saying/thinking that she will ALWAYS have Gideon's back and that he doesn't have to "put on a face" with her.  She will love and protect him always!!! Until death do they part and then probably afterwards too.  In other words, he can let his guard down and breathe and she will watch out for him
