MY THEORY IS THAT AFTER DETECTIVE GRAVES CONFRONTED EVA AT KRAV MAGA WITH HER MURDER THEORY,EVA RAN TO GIDEON"S APARTMENT AND WAITED FOR HIM IN THE FOYER OF HIS APARTMENT. THEN, AFTER HE CAME IN AND SAW EVA, HE RECEIVED A CELL PHONE CALL FROM HIS SECURITY NOTIFYING HIM THAT THE  COPS HAD FOLLOWED HIM AND EVA AND HAD SURVALENCE POSTED OUTSIDE.   BEFORE THEY COULD TALK AT ALL, EVA HAD TO LEAVE GIDEON RIGHT AWAY TO DIFFUSE THE SITUATION.  THEN, AN HOUR LATER, GIDEON SNUCK UP THE BACK WAY TO EVA'S APARTMENT.  T HEN, EWY BEGINS.

Also another note about Corinne, if Gideon does indeed break up with her and she SNAPS maybe it is she that Eva will be using her newly honed Krav Maga skills on only time will tell LOL

I just wanted to toss out a quick question to everyone in the forum.  What does everyone think about Cary's relationship with Tatiana?  Is it good, bad, or it doesn't matter?   

Hi Gigi, I am kind of wondering if it is starting to matter to both of them because the last time she came over to the apartment in the nurse outfit Cary stated that she was really upset that she didn't know about his situation sooner and that someone at the agency had just told her about it...and then he states "it's like she read my mind" he is of course referring to the naughty nurse outfit , so I think these 2 are quite compatible!!

I just can't see Gideon lying to Corinne even though everything is riding on this . I think she is just trying to take advantage of Eva being out of the picture .

Your scenario of how Gideon would break up with Corinne is brutal!  Holy crap! "...News at 11pm...Woman jumps from the top of the Crossfire Building or....Woman holding Gideon Cross hostage....negotiators are on the scene now trying to talk the woman down..."

 

Any way you cut it, I don't see this working out for the best.  If what you have been suspecting is true, I think there will be a very ugly turn in the storyline.  Sigh!

Hopefully Corinne will take Eva's advice and be a friend to Gideon rather than indulging in her delusions of a life with Gideon. Afterall she is no longer in the dark and she knows that Gideon is in love with Eva so if she gets hurt it is her own fault. That being said I do think Gideon will back off from Corinne and then perhaps Ireland will be more in the picture as Gideon's companion/cover to see Eva.

Or on the other hand Brett may have purposely run to the microphone at that moment to Gideon off you know what they say about paybacks LOL

I would love it if Christopher Jr., sleaze bucket that he is, always trying to get into the pants of any women who ever longed for Gideon, to get his a** handed to him by the love of Gideon's life. Get put into his place by his future sister-in-law -- and it ain't Corrine, either. It'd be Eva with her mad Krav Maga skills. Just let Christopher try to get fresh with Eva once. He'll never do it again.

Yes I think that when Christopher Jr finds out about Golden he will see this as a green light to really come out and make a move on Eva and possibly man handle her and that's when our girl Eva is gonna let him have it! Oh yea!

 

Right now if Gideon did anything to "break" Brett's career, the cops would be all over that. What more proof could you want Gideon is still crazy about Eva?

 

Especially because the much better alternative "fake truth"  -- which could make the cops have to back down -- is another version: Gideon caught Eva in Brett's arms and dumped her cheating b*** then and there. Had his driver/bodyguard throw her in his limo and remove her from his sight. Tons of witnesses saw the whole thing. (No one saw the reconciliation and secret weekend of love that followed.) And only a few days after the concert, everyone started seeing celebrity photos "Gideon-Corrine!!!!!" Brett's not to blame for the break-up -- it's 100% Eva's bad, and she's the one Gideon punished.

 

YES,  Gideon will cringe inwardly there are going to be "Eva-Brett!!!!" speculative stories -- and even pictures if the paparazzi catches Brett anywhere near Eva. But this whole thing is -- pun intended -- a "golden" opportunity to once and for all make it practically impossible to make a convincing argument Gideon would have killed Nathan over Eva.  And he's got ZERO, nada, zip right to complain, not after all the Corrine publicity Gideon deliberately set up.

 

The cops are upping the ante by trying to trap Gideon. In return, he can up the ante by manipulating the media. The story was bound to get out anyway as soon as Brett finished his concert tour and came running back to New York. Might as well make the most of it.

Maybe by the middle of the book the case will be dropped and Eva and Gideon can get back to their daily lives because I just love to read about their day to day activities and hear about their careers and friends etc. Afterall it is a romance novel and then maybe by the end of the book the luggage tags will be put to good use on the private jet to Bali on their honeymoon. YEA!!

Getting back to Brett I think the only way Eva can "prove" to Brett that she is in love with Gideon is to not sleep with him because he knows how hot it was between them so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Brett is probably a big part of the middle of the book but I wonder where the snippet in the dance club comes in, is Brett still in the picture at this point or does he bow out gracefully there are so many angles to be resolved can't wait till June 4th

Yes I do not think the email is a problem either because it does sound desperate and definitely conveys a broken hearted Eva .

Lets talk about what Cary must think about all that has gone on. Don't you think he himself is wondering who murdered Nathan I mean if he wasn't laid up with his injuries he would have been considered a suspect also. Don't you think he secretly suspects Stanton and Monica having a hand in it such as a professional hit after all Cary has seen a lot in his life What do you all think?

Wow wouldn't you love to see the look on Christopher Jr's face and Sr for that matter if Brett does indeed introduce Eva as his GOLDEN girl?

I bet Brett takes the microphone at the VIDAL tent and announces that his GOLDEN GIRL is in the audience!!!!

I don’t buy that whole thing of Brett wanting Eva back in his life because of love or deep attachment. I think that Eva was good in bed, or the bathroom stall or the limousine, or whatever and I think that somewhere he missed that.

Just think about all the adoration that Eva must have heaped on this guy and what did Brett do? He went and blabbed about it to his buddies. I think it was a punk move on his part. If you look at what Brett said. Eva was his muse, that doesn’t imply love. This man feasted on her body and her adoration and spit on her in return.

Yes I know that people can grow, but let the dude grow with someone else. I know Eva can do better, way better than Brett! What do you think? What does everyone think?

I don't know Gigi I think Brett really does care for Eva and I think he wrote Golden assuming she would hear it and come back to him, as he said he never knew what became of her. And I think that's part of Eva's lingering attraction to him she couldn't help but wonder what a real relationship would have been like with him not one based solely on S--.

Something just occurred to me. Thus far, the media hasn’t caught wind of this entire Nathan murder fiasco. The good detectives haven’t spilled the beans and no one regardless of their camp is going to say a d**n thing about this entire scenario, so how on earth would it come out that Gideon is the main person of interest?

Wouldn’t the detectives be shooting themselves in the foot if they leaked that kind of information to the media? Thus far, all they have are a bunch of suspicions and suppositions. They don’t have one piece of physical evidence or any tangible proof. So if the media gets wind of this story who would be the first to leak the information. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter? What does everyone think?

I think the detectives have to be very careful where Gideon is concerned because he is a very wealthy and powerful man but mostly because they have no hard evidence just a far fetched theory that he would be able to start a fire in his own hotel undetected and leave for half an hour to kill a man .I mean when you say it like that it just sounds ludicrous and they look like fools for proposing such a scenario..What do you all think?

I would really like to know why Gideon has that controlling interest. Do you think that if Elizabeth Vidal knew her husband was covering up Gideon’s rape? How would you factor in Elizabeth Vidal’s reaction to discovering that her son Gideon had controlling interest of Vidal Records? How on earth would Christopher Sr. explain that to his wife? Do you not think that Elizabeth would have said something to her son about that situation?

Something in that situation doesn’t add up. I really hope that we get some more information on that or at least a snippet or two to speculate about. Right now, I can’t figure this entire thing out. What does everyone think?

I agree with you. Hold on….have the heavens opened up? I think that the budding relationship between Gideon and Ireland could be a really good thing for both of them. It would give Gideon the sense of family that he never had and Ireland the opportunity to get to know the brother she has always idolized.

I also think that by bringing Ireland along, Gideon avoids putting any undue stress or pressure that is on his and Eva’s relationship (or lack thereof right now). It would at any rate, help their future relationship. What do you think? What does everyone think?

Yes Gideon is well aware of how much he hurt Eva with CORINNEGATE and probably even somewhat worried about her interactions with Brett at this point so I think he doesn't want to do anything else to rock the boat.

I sincerely hope we are right in assuming that the new snapshot photo of the coffee and business page refers to Eva's blossoming career. In the last book when Eva became "new" Eva she mentions that she got caught in the orbit of a rich and powerful man and it will be nice to see her put her professional foot forward and hopefully on her way to happiness both personally and professionally.

The snippet makes me wonder what type of interaction Eva did have with Brett to prompt Cary to say "you've got your hands full with him, I forgot what it was like between you two..." Can't wait to find out on June 4th!!

I can't wait till Magdalene and Corinne get clued in to the Brett/Eva/Golden situation. I bet they will both be as jealous as ever that Eva has yet another hot guy salivating over her and its not even Gideon. LOL
