What I like about this forum, is that there are people from all walks of life, each bringing something different to the table. We all have our own take on the story, and where we think it might go.

We have debated and dissected many topics that are related to this story, sometimes agreeing sometimes not, but hey that's life!

It's just so much fun.

Yes like yourself and many others this story is real, you can feel all of the pain and hurt that these characters are enduring. We want to do what their parents should have done for them. To protect, love and believe them. But alas, we can't. Sigh!

One thing I'm hoping in the new book, is that once Gideon starts to open up more, revealing his past, will his nightmares ease? Will our lovers be able to sleep together again. I might just have to research this, just for curiosity sake.

Nathan being sent back to an institution was one of the points that worried me. Could he have at some point fooled the doctors into thinking he was "cured".

How many times has a person been released, to go on and commit further crimes, sometimes worse than what they were originally put away for.

Eva was never going to be safe while Nathan was still breathing.

Think you and me have got to suck it up and admit that Gideon briefly went over to the dark side, to protect the only thing in his life that made him feel safe loved and worthy of existing.

Now that he as found her, I couldn't see him carrying on without her.

As he said he wouldn't survive her. What a tormented mind to have to carry that burden for life just to feel safe.

Gideon said that to Eva, in the car, when he started to open up to her at the end of reflected. He was trying to explain why he was behaving as he was.

As Sylvia posted yesterday, Eva is Gideons safe haven, and he will keep her safe at all costs. Because without her he is nothing.

Ladies.

I just want to give them a big hug and tell them all will be ok.

I want to make right all the wrong in their lives. To take away their hurt, and give them back their childhood that they were both robbed of.

It makes me angry, that no one stood up for them, and protected them.

I want to protect them like my own children.

I love it that these characters are so real. We all have our own interpretations of how Gideon and Eva and other characters are portrayed. The story comes alive in our minds. It's like having a cinema in our heads.

Most of the later snippets that we have been given all point to our lovers being comfortable with each other. The New Years teaser was tense for obvious reasons. Once they have had their "chat" and Gideon opens up, their relationship can flourish.

I loved having a mans pov in the story. All romances are always from a female view. It's good to know what they think. Gives us girls a nice tingly feeling!

Just hoping that we the reader get to find out what Gideon already knows. Do you think Gideon will share this information, if it means getting him out of a sticky situation?

How much does Eva need to know? Knowing that the police are prowling about. Need to know basis?

Without a shadow of a doubt, Gideon would have had Eva followed at all times.

The Saturday before the garden party, when Eva and Cary went shopping, she said she saw Gideon and black Bentley SUV's everywhere she looked. She probably thought she was seeing things because she was so upset over their breakup.

I'm sure Gideon would also have had Nathan tailed. So Gideon would have known every time Nathan went near Eva.

Thank you for your explanation. Why, when I read that did my stomach knot? You have such a way with words, that brings the story to life.

When Gideon whispers his version of "I love you", my thoughts were that he would say, "my heart, my soul and existence are yours forever Eva".

Yes I would protect my girls at all costs. Without question.

I just want to cuddle him and tell him that everything will be ok. I'd be a good mum to him.

Because Chris Snr hushed up the abuse, I can see Gideon exacting his revenge via the shares he has in the record company, when the right time comes, ie after Ireland leaves the family home as we discussed before. He owes his family nothing. They owe him everything, poor lad. Angus was just biding his time with the Vidals probably keeping Gideon up to speed with what was going on in the home, and keeping a watchful eye on Ireland

That works for me. Because the system failed Gideon, the first examinations proving nothing, gave the rapist the green light to take it further, makes me think he didn't trust the system to protect Eva. Taking matters into his own hands.

Gideon said "if you crave something. I'll be the one to give it to you. All of your needs Eva , are mine to full fill . Whatever it costs me"

Definately need more Eva and Victor. She loves her dad a lot, because of the freedom he gave her, but with certain boundaries , which all humans need so they can grow and be independent people. Monica smothered her for all the wrong reasons, but she thought they were right. Expensive gifts are nothing you can't buy love. Victor gave his love, that's all Eva wanted.

I did put ex cop after armed forces, but deleted it because if Gideon had been raped surely Angus would have made sure the attacker was put away? Or a few theories are that he was disposed of? I can't see Angus being bought off by the Vidals for his silence. He stayed around for Gideons sake I'm sure. I think Angus probably drove Gideon to the hotel, waited then brought him back. I think Gideon regards him as a father figure. A good role model.

What a dysfunctional lot they are.

Yes the journey Is fraught with many pitfalls, they need to move on and try to forget their past because it could destroy them if allowed.

Throwing this out there, but I think that maybe Angus was perhaps a member of the armed forces in his early years? After retiring going to work for Vidal. Just a thought.

Revise that to early fifties, just done some sums. Lol

How old would you say Angus could be? I'm thinking middle to late forties.
