I have never been a member of a book club before, or read a book that has affected so much.

To be able to discuss and dissect it has been amazing. Chatting to you all blew the storyline wide open for me,and it became something more.

I'm so glad there is going to be a fourth and possibly a fifth book.

Hoping we are keeping Sylvia entertained

When I talk about this book- and I've been told I go on about it too much!. I love it for the story of 2 broken lovers trying to have a relationship, heck the sex is awesome, we would all love a Gideon in our lives!

But it's not just about the sex. The abuse storyline had my stomach in knots, the angst and heartbreak just made theses characters so real.

After Sylvia's revelation I felt deflated. Not poor Gideon, hasn't he suffered enough.

Perhaps the murderer was the pizza delivery guy, cos Nathan didn't give a decent tip. Ever hopeful. X

We have made these characters real life. We have fed our imaginations with all manner of information, which we have been gifted by Sylvia or just by general everyday living.

Research has been done ie master keys for hotels, lol- thank you Gigi.

I'm sure we shall continue with our theories until all avenues are exhausted.

But boy it's fun! Long may it continue. X

Yes I remember Dallas very well. We had who shot JR? Who killed Nathan? Gideon? The jury's out on that one.

Yes the Nathan murder is just more baggage, to already burdened shoulders.

I agree fully with you. The only conclusion I can come too, is that after Cary was attacked, Gideon realised Eva was in mortal danger. The readers don't know yet how he knew this. We are surmising that Gideon was having Nathan followed. The surveillance team told Gideon, that's when his plan was put into action.

Hopefully these areas will be explained in June.

Must admit, I was surprised Sylvia answered that question. I would have thought she would have kept us hanging till June. She must have her reasons.

If I was a betting person, Monica is still the suspect for me. A mother would protect her child at any cost. With Gideons help.

All will be revealed in June or will it? You never know with Sylvia.

I was just going to say the same thing as you, regarding the reputation of Eva, being dragged through the courts. After all, Victor is still in the dark about his daughters abuse. Will Victor ever find out? The press would have had a field day.

Yes Gideon killed for Eva, but at what cost to himself. "I'd kill for you, give up everything I own for you. But I won't give you up"

Gideon said in the excerpt of his pov, that he would do it again, just to make Eva feel safe. He obviously doesn't trust the law to protect her, because no one was there to protect him as a child when he was abused. All comes down to TRUST.

This storyline would hopefully keep Graves off of Gideons back. But at what point would it be safe for them to resume a normal relationship. What would be an acceptable time to get back together? As you said, a murder investigation never closes.

I so agree with you on all points. There are hopefully no more breakups.

But.

There are lots of issues to get past, before they can have a "normal" relationship.

A lot of people would have run for the hills if their relationship had turned out like Gideon and Eva's in the first few weeks. Intense being an understatement.

There sounded like a but at the end of that statement.

No don't go down that road, but i have to admit, I think Corrine is going to remain a thorn in Eva's side. Don't think she will give Gideon up gracefully, even though she knows the relationship is going nowhere. I'm thinking Fatal Attraction here! The bunny boiler ain't going quietly!

Will she hook up with Christopher Jnr to plan revenge on Gideon and Eva ?

I agree with you. This is something that will haunt them for the rest of their lives. Constantly looking over their shoulder, wondering if new evidence might run up.

Can't see Graves giving up. Be a feather in her cap to arrest and charge Gideon Cross, even if it was murdering a scumbag!

Just hope Victor appreciates what Gideon has done for his daughter when he finally finds out about her abuse, cause I'm sure he will.
