    Hi Lorna Welcome to the forum. The lipstick was in fact blood from Nathan, when he visited Gideon with pics of Eva when he raped her. Nathan and Gideon had a fight. Sylvia posted the reply.

    My last post, as I'm off to work now. What a romantic thought. I love how Gideon and Arnoldo have a good friendship, bantering in Italian, but I think Gideon is just a bit insecure where Arnoldo is concerned, because when Arnoldo kissed Eva on the lips when they first met, Gideon shot him a veiled warning! Bless him, he's insecure about every man that comes within five feet of Eva .

    When can we turn our heating off? Gideon and Eva better bring their thermals if they come here! But then they have their love to keep them warm/hot!!! ;)

    My theory is Eva's parents have talked about her abuse. One of them requires an ambulance through collapse. Probably Monica, but having said that, it will slay Victor when he finds out about his little girl, and him not being there to protect her. :(

    Morning Gigi Glad your back. I agree with you. I'm sure a lot if these women think she sits on FB all day. When do they think she gets her writing, promotional work done? Sylvia did say she as an assistant, reckon he or she is kept busy. I'm sure she's a big girl, and can fight her corner .

    Gideons sense of humour, or rather lack of it. It a shame he is so serious, we have never really seen a playful happy side to this man. Only once or twice does Eva mention about him laughing or chuckling, or at the restaurant with Arnoldo. His character is so sad (understandable given his life) he needs a shot of happiness into his veins. Eva will help him recover but I can't see this happening anytime soon.

    It was a reference to the Watergate affair with President Nixon, back in the 1970's. you probably weren't born then. Yesterday we think someone made a boob and posted an incorrect photo regarding day 13. Showing an engagement ring in a mans hand. The post was removed about an hour or so later, and another photo replaced it. It was just my humour. I called it photogate! Just a thought. Number 13 is supposed to be unlucky. Was for someone!

    What you wrote was beautiful. I can just envisage the conversation between the two men. We need more interaction with them. Gideon needs friends. He needs Arnoldo. He has his love, Eva. Then he won't be lonely anymore.:)

    Afterburn is released August, Aftershock is November. Just the two. Should keep us going till Gideon has recovered. :)

    Just read paragraph from Sylvia's new books "Afterburn" on FB. Another one for us to get our teeth into girls. When we have exhausted Gideon, we can let him recover over the autumn, and start on Jackson. What say you?

    OMG! Don't talk about the angst and agony. When I read certain chapters my stomach is in knots, I've cried, shouted at the book, and called them names for being so dumb! Never has a book got me so involved in the story. I have felt their pain and agony. I just wish I could laugh with them.

    I wonder how many calls Gideon made to Corinne and how many she made to him? I would say she made all or most of the calls. After all, she is still doing all the chasing. In Eva's "bad days" she said she would have chased Gideon if she had seen him. I think he would have seen her first. As Gideon said, they both settled for less, before they met each other.
