Hi GiGi, Gideon thinks Mommica is stronger than she lets on. He reached this conclusion about his moother-in-law-to-be after their long conversation over the phone, when the Victorgate blew off, and Eva didn't feel up to coping with her other parent too. We still don't know what hardships Mommica had to go through to face life with a kid in tow.... but she must have hardened in ways we cannot fathom yet. I don't see her as someone who happens to unknowningly get involved into anything. She had the tracking devices planted everywhere around Eva, she managed to cheat on Stanton, she already divorced twice.... she may be a blonde, but she's not naive!

Hi Barb I believe not one of Gideon's former partners knew about his issues with that particular s*exual practice. Eva herself has to force him to it. She twice choses to ignore Gideon's pleas to stop.... and makes him cry. Eva has cleansed him from Hugh's touch, and through his cry Gedeon is now free.

Good afternoon ladies I've just finished re- re- re- rereading chap 18.  It's the best chapter ever..... (on second thought, Chap. 19 is even better!!!!). Gideon's careful coaxing Eva into a new s**ual experience always moves me deeply. He takes her by the hand and lets her into his world. He wants Eva to feel nothing but at ease and possibly happy with what's going on, safe, good, loved. That's why my pick from this chapter is  1) Gideon was the best of everything for me, a man who wanted me ferociously - which I so urgently needed to feel secure - but with enough self-possession to keep from overwhelming me.  I wonder who wouldn't need that!!!!!

Just one last post to put a smile on our faces while we are sleeping. Good night everybody Sweet dreams!!!!!

I know it's late, but I couldn't skip a day without our forum!!!  Here are my picks in Chap.17  1) if the insult were intentional, you'd know it. 2) You're are blond, but surely you can't be so naive as to believe that. 2) Crap. That wasn't at all reassuring when she (Mommica) was on Gideon's side of the marriage argument and not mine.  I don't like Brett being naughty with Eva. Why does she let him say "I remember how you feel....Can't wait to feel it again." WHAT!!!! A sound slap in his gorgerous face is in order here!!!!!! I'd say Eva is flatterd by Brett wanting her....but where's your pride gone, sister????  Arnoldo is so sweet in his triplel role of Eva's guardian angel, c***blocker and Gideon's 'spy'. I really like the idea of Shawna ending up with him!!!  In this chapter, Mr Giroux is still an airy Frenchman who thinks he has figured out everything concerning his wife's would-be elopement. I can only pity him... he's married a woman who doesn't respect him enough to grace hmi with a quiet divorce before running after another man.  And then Mommica, same old Mommica. I really like it when Eva tells her twice in just one page that "It's not about you, Mom." And about time too!!!!!!! I completely agree with Julie's theories. Seen how nonchalantly Mommica cheated on Stanton, who knows what she might have got involved into to protect Eva?

There's a brief exchange between Gideon and Eva that had me thinking.... it occurs after Brett tried to kiss Eva, again!, outside the Crossfire Building before the 6/9th premiere of the "Golden" video.  "Are you mad? Please don't be" "Of course I am," he said evenly. "But not at you or him." "O-kay." I had no idea of what that meant.  I do have an Idea of what Gideon's words could mean. My guess is that Gideon's mad at himself for not having secretly tied Eva to him waaaay before then. Seeing Eva as a single woman dating someone else must be burning him up. Because Gideon knows that he can only find some peace of mind after everybody (friend or foe, and Brett in particular) knows that Eva is HIS "to honour and to cherish". Forever.  Therefore, Corinne and Brett hands off... please, and so looong!!!.  .

Hi GiGi "Chemistry is chemistry", as Eva says. The only thing Eva doesn't do is wondering why all of a sudden Brett wants her back after four, 4, years. From what we are told, Brett didn't seem much smitten by Eva, she was just one of the groupies to him and she had to settle for less.....  BUT Brett's line: "...the tour ends in November. I can come stay out here for the holidays. ....." makes all the alarm bells I've got go off!!! I think Brett has really never given a d*mn abou Eva and he's only been following Eva's own 'career' on the gossip tabloids of late, that is from unknown, messed-up, cop's daughter to mega-mogul girlfriend (the mega-mogul who also happens to own his (Brett's) label company!!). Like each and everyone who sees Eva's apt. for the first time, Brett is stunned by Eva's place, and I guess he's planning to move in with Eva because he thinks she has now the right social connections.  That's why Brett's approach is nothing but physical. He's playing the old remember-when-you-and-I-did-this game, the very same trick Corinne tried to play Gedeon along with at the advocacy dinner in Bared. grrrrrrrrr!  Shall I book a ticket to France for him too???   Â

Hi Julie I'd say only Peg-Leg Pete and the Beagle Boys are missing!!!!!!!! Gideon's and Eva's love must be really strong to survive all kinds of enemies. I'd like them to make as many allies as they can get in the forthcoming books. An army of friends who can deflect any possible harm coming to our dear young couple. Where can I enlist???  I have already ironed my uniform!!
