  1. I hate wearing panty hose and prefer to go without, but if I had to wear something, I enjoy a nice stocking and garter belt. There's something to be said about wearing sexy clothes. I always feel better when I feel a little sexy. Not always, but sometime and more so when I was a few years younger.
  2. Hi Gigi: it is very confusing. Hopefully Monica's previous husbands all lived in the same area. If not, the moving around probably also contributed to Eva's insecurities. She would have had a very unstable upbringing.
  3. Hi ladies: As I'm re-reading these chapters, the one thing I'm curious about is where did Eva live before she lived with her dad? Was that ever explained? I always assumed Eva grew up in New York and moved out to live near her father for college. I figured she didn't live anywhere near her father growing up, because she states that her parents haven't seen each other for many years Thanks for anyone's in-sight into this.
  4. I don't believe that any of us feel that murder is trivial or romantic. It is a serious and sad matter. The fact that Gideon committed murder is a very serious and sad matter, but as far as we know, Gideon felt or perceived that Eva was in mortal danger and he felt he had no other choice. Was it wrong, what he did? We will surly find out come June 4th. I'm sure that Eva and Gideon will have to deal with all of the ramifications of this in the future books.
  5. As upset as we are that Gideon killed Nathan and as much as we love the characters of these amazing stories, we need to remember that this is a fictional story. Gideon killed Nathan to protect Eva from having to deal with Nathan ever again. He was a detrimental threat to Eva. Even in courts today, you ever know how the court is going to rule and I don't think Gideon even thought that far in the future. He was eliminating what he perceived to be an imminent threat to Eva.
  6. Love that Sylvia Day has popped into this fantastic discussion to add a little bit of information to consider. Interesting thought regarding the fact that Nathan had already been convicted of his crimes before this extortion. He couldn't be convicted of the same crime twice. He could possibly have been charged with child if he had pictures. I don't think that would have kept him in jail for a very long time either. This would not have kept Eva safe.
  7. I don't know that Gideon planned and plotted the murder. Maybe when he was keeping his distance from Eva, he was thinking he was protecting her because he possibly hoped Nathan wouldn't feel the need to harm her. If she wasn't involved with anyone then Gideon may have hoped that would keep Nathan away from Eva. The story played out looking like Gideon was pre meditating murder. Maybe that's not actually what Gideon planned at all.
  8. My personal thoughts regarding Eva and Giceon in the future are that there may not be anymore break-ups, but there hopefully will be more turmoil and angst between the two of them. I found those story lines in the previous books were my favorite parts. I loved how they would find a way to deal with one another. Without the turmoil between the two, I think the story would become stagnant and boring.
  9. Hi Gigi: I believe HEA means happily ever after.
  10. I am thankful to finally be able to post on this site. I have been following for a while and love all the different dialog. I have a question that may have been answered a while ago. When Magdelene went to visit Eva at work, and Eva sent her to Gideon, was it ever discussed why Magdalene was there to see Eva and what was Gideon's reaction. This has been bothering me for a while. Thanks for any ideas.
