 I always thought Sylvester Stallone was 5'10" or 5'11". I met him once; he is big and bulky and taller then me (5'5") and he looks good too. He is too old to play any of these leading characters but even back in the day that Jersey accent wouldn't work for a sophisticated business man type.

 SME   I think the men debase the book because they know they don't "measure up" both figuratively and physically. It is easier to make fun of the book and the women who read it than it is to look inward and see if they can make changes that will makes s e x more satisfying for their partners.Â

 I have a Nook but I think I'm going to get a Kindle soon. It makes me crazy when I pre-order a book from B&N and then I can't download it to my Nook on the release date but I can download it to my phone running the Nook application. Weird. To tell you the truth I didn't think I would like electronic books but I do. I belong to BookBub and they send me an email everyday letting me know what books are free. I always have something to read. It is easy to carry and I makes notes and highlight things I want to remember or go back and research.  I only buy paper copies when there are book signings in the area. I keep those books pristine.Â

 Loved this. It is a good pick-me-up every student I've worked with today has come in crying. It is very draining. Some students are losing great scholarships because they didn't complete classes and they want me to fix it. There is nothing I can do. Youth!

I started reading FSOG because a couple co-workers were reading the books. At work they had over the cubicle discussions about the books that piqued my interest. By the middle of the 2nd week (and me asking what happened next) I couldn't take it any more. They are the slowest readers I know. I went out bought the books and finished all three before they finished the 1st one.  After 50 shades I went back to my standard mystery writers for the next 4 or 5 months. I was on Goodreads writing a review and noticed some comments about Sylvia's books. I decided to download Bared and was hooked immediately.Â

I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. These are great easy reads and so funny in some places and sad in other places. I was reading one of the early books in my doctor's waiting room. I started laughing so hard I was crying; everyone turned around and looked at me. Stephanie has a hot bad boy after her (not interested in marriage but great sex) and an Italian policeman who wants her to settle down and be his wife.  Â

 I don't think it is that he is liked more but some of us feel the Brett is the bigger threat to the current relationship. Gideon will stomp on Slimey he can't win with his video. IMO They will all go down early.Â

 Yes once everyone gets the concept it does move quickly. Hopefully Captivated will be out before we get to Gideon & Eva and Angus. It is funny when I was playing this on a TV show blog, when we got to the main characters there were as many people adding points as there were deleting. I takes awhile to get to the last one because some characters you don't want your name associated with their death.

The KGI series is about the Kelly brothers who own a security business. They will take on kidnapping cases and they get contracts from the government often CIA. They are all ex military and so far they have all found true love on one of their missions. Each book is based on one of the characters but the people in the previous books will reappear. They are well written and have love, romance (not real graphic) and action. I love them.  Book #1 it The Darkest Hour 2 No Place to Run 3 Hidden Away 4 Whispers in the Dark 5 Echos at Dawn 6 Shades of Gray

Welcome to the forum.  I read books quickly also. Once I start reading I can't put the book down until the end. Thanks for your suggestions

Well ladies, I was talking about Maya Banks KGI series. I finished book #5 last night. I noticed Maya is posting spoilers for book#7 and I want to get caught up so I can read her posts. In books 1 - 4 I had a couple teary moments and times when the tears were caught in my through but book 5 I actually bawled. I was crying so hard that my daughter & granddaughter came into my room to see what was wrong. Every book I read in this series gets better than the one before.Â

Fanfiction is writing works based on someone else's ideas. The FanFic that I read are based on TV shows I watch but there are also stories based on books, movies, just about anything that another writer developed. Some people on FanFiction.net are very good writers but can't get a break to get their original works published. Some people are so bad they shouldn't even try to write. I have a couple writers that I follow and read everything they post.    A couple writers that I follow are trying to get on the writing staff at a Hollywood studio but it is hard to break in. Unfortunately, the writers/creators of the show are legally blocked from reading the FF because they can be sued if they come up with a story that someone posts.Â

Evaluating Elliot is Elliot & Kates' story. There is one about Elena if you want to know about her. Then there is the Mia story. They are under the Stories drop down on across the top.

 That is why I don't read too much ff. There are a couple people that I know who write well and fill in the blanks. For instance they will write what happens over the winter/summer hiatus or a short one-shot about what happened during the commercial. You know like the "I love you" or the kiss that didn't happen but you know it must have.  I hate when I get into a story and all the sudden it breaks up the lead characters. I would hunt down the writer who killed off Christian & Eva and give him/her a piece of my mind. Ana doesn't work with Gideon at all.  I have a friend who writes FF and therefore reads a lot of them. She always screens what's out there for me and lets me know if I'll approve.Â

 I think Benjamin Bratt would be perfect for Victor.

 I've seen Henry with longer hair too. He is definitely a handsome man. He can play a "dark and dangerous" businessman with his eyes closed but those blue eyes are to die for. Â

 They were originally written for teens but like Harry Potter they soon roped in the parents.Â

 I would like to read both. I want to see what changed more than anything. I used to read the FF of a woman on one of my TV show sites. She was recently published but her ff was an alternative universe story. It worked well in print and doesn't resemble the TV show at all.Â

 I think the quick time frame is a technique used in many romance books. The "dating" that most of us go through is too time consuming for a story like this. Although I have to say I met and married my husband in less than 6 months so it does happen. We were ready to get married in 2 months but my dad died and I didn't want to burden my mom with another wedding. My sister was already engaged and I didn't want to step on her time. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) she called off the wedding a month before the ceremony.Â

 SME,   I'm not sure Monica was "in love" with Barker but she loved him for giving her what she needed at the time...security. I don't think Monica "sold herself" to Barker. I think she looked for men who could offer her love but also security, etc. In Bared Eva said "they'd found the perfect arrangement."Â
