 No that would be a spoiler. I'm interested in what Kristen found out. She had the opportunity to hear the various questions fans asked as Sylvia signed books. I found Sylvia was more forthcoming one-on-one but there were only so many questions one person could ask while she was signing the books.

Sylvia said that book 4 will still be in Eva's POV but she is starting to see more from Gideon's side. She expects Gideon's will be heard from in book 5.  I asked her if we are going to hear what Deanna said to Gideon my only response was a smile and "she doesn't know." I asked if we will find out what Angus said to Gideon at the wedding again she said she didn't know.  I asked if the 10th floor was Eva's new office and she was actually surprised by that question. She hadn't really thought about it so I don't think she was going there at the time she wrote that scene but she said we'll see what happens. I'm guessing she doesn't get the 10th floor in book 4.

 There is a trip.

Christopher Jr. I asked Sylvia if Christopher was really as bad as he appears to be at this point. She said he has redeeming qualities in that he loves Ireland and his mother and he would do anything for them. She wouldn't elaborate anymore.Â

Monica - this question put a mischievous little smile on Sylvia's face. She said Monica's back-story is BIG! She needs to confront her past and she will.

Elizabeth is a complicated character per Sylvia we will learn more. Liz was a women madly in love with her first husband. She had it all and then her world fell apart. She lost her money, status and her love when Geoffrey Cross's ponzi scheme was found out and then his suicide. She moved on and adopted the attitude "If I don't acknowledge things are bad then they aren't bad." As a result she failed her son.Â

On Friday night Sylvia was asked why does Gideon ran off to California and why he does other things but doesn't let Eva know. Sylvia's response confused me because she said Gideon has a love/hate relationship with Eva. I kept playing this back in my mind and went through her books and couldn't put the love/hate thing out of my mind and I told Sylvia that the next day.  She took a good bit of time explaining it too me. (Kristen fill in anything I may have forgotten.)  She said for most of his life Gideon hasn't needed anything and he has never depended on someone like he does Eva. His sense of being in control is out the window where Eva is concerned. The more he shares with Eva the more he needs her and this is so alien to him.  In the past if he lost something he would start again. If his business failed he wouldn't be upset he would rebuild. If he lost people in his life he would find someone to replace them. In Eva's case he just can't do without her. He knows he can't replace her so he compensates or retaliates with these little "independence" events that backfire on him. He loves Eva but he hates that he is losing control.Â

I'm reading my notes. She said there will be a much shorter turnaround time for Captivated. No one could get her to give a guess other than before the end of the year. I could be way off but I got the impression it would be released before November.Â

She made one comment (a couple actually) that I found interesting and I'm going to review the books again. She said she didn't think she left a cliffhanger with Entwined even though many readers felt she did. She said if you read the end of Entwined it takes the story full circle back to Bared to You. Read the endings. She was trying to show that the major part of Eva's story was told. She is now the stronger partner in this relationship.

Cary at this point she doesn't know if the baby is his or not. The way she answered the question I believe that it isn't answered in book 4. The reason I say that is because she has a double edit process. She has an editor (not from the publisher) read the book, she makes changes and then it goes to the publisher. The publisher's editor reads the book and then final changes are made. I think she is in that part of the book 4 process where she is making the final changes. Cary finding out about Nathan beating him. I didn't hear the response to this question clearly but I think she said he does. Again this is a spoiler and I had to read her facial expression and interpret the way she talked around it. An aside she doesn't storyboard or write synopses because the story is never like that in the end.

Snippets will be out in a few weeks. I think she said 3 but I didn't write that down. She said she has been on the road too much to get them together but they will appear soon, very soon. I can't wait. I'm thinking she is going to answer a couple questions in the snippets and that is why she is holding back some spoilers.

Kristen will have a lot more information since she was working the event and sitting with Sylvia but I'll pass on what I have. My two favorite topics are Brett & Corinne so I'll start there. When I asked about Corinne (I tried to rephrase my question a couple times) regarding how soon in book 4 she would hang around. Sylvia said that was a spoiler question. However, the way she said it and her facial expression makes me think we haven't seen the last of Corinne, especially since we are going deeper into Gideon's story. Brett again not too much information because the question was a spoiler but she did tell me that Eva is toying with fire a little. This is because there is a tug of war happening within her. She is confused about what she sees as a complete 180 with Brett. Brett played a big part in messing with her self-esteem issues when her self-esteem was already severely damaged from the abuse. (I didn't get this part verbatim but almost) Eva is still playing with her former need to self destruct and this self destruction needs to end. She has to put it to rest and that will happen via Brett.

Well hello ladies, I had the best weekend. I went to Day after Dark on Friday and BookBash on Saturday. At both events I had the opportunity to talk to Sylvia and she gave a lot of information about the Crossfire series. First let me b*tch for a minute. The Day after Dark was a great opportunity to get information from Sylvia regarding all of her book series, however a couple "fans" were completely inappropriate. One woman took up ten or fifteen minutes trying to tell Sylvia how to write a book. She basically recommended authors for Sylvia to read to get an idea of how to write a book from multiple points of view. She was way out of line and if I were closer to her I would have knocked her down. Sylvia finally said to her "that is never going to happen" when she explained that she wanted Crossfire's future books to alternate chapters from Gideon's POV to Eva's. I wanted to tell her that this is Sylvia's story to tell and she needs to write her own book from multiple POVs. I have to say SD was very patient. I'll get back with more information after I read through what I've missed so I don't duplicate anything. I have attended a lot of book signings at Barnes & Noble, Borders (when they were still around) and Books-A-Million and Sylvia is by far the most generous author with the time that she gives to her fans.

 I love weddings when there is a little drama. It makes buying the gift worth it.  I don't want any arguments at Gideon & Eva's wedding though. I want them to have a little peace for a couple chapters.  I agree Corinne had to know but this is fiction so anything can happen.Â

 The text to Brett was wrong. I get that Eva is trying to be friends but she saw how that worked out with Corinne. Why didn't she learn.  I'm ready for Corinne gone too but I have a feeling we haven't see the last of her.

 I agree. Rebuilding a relationship after cheating is hard enough for a couple that doesn't carry a lot of the baggage these two have. How can you ever come back if you feel men always use you? Or how do you come back when your family let you down in the past and didn't stand up for you. There is no way either Eva or Gideon would cheat on the other because they know how hurtful it would be.  I still don't trust Brett to try something just like Corinne tried something. Brett would take pills but he would pounce.

 I know. I remember back to some of Eva's thoughts and comments.  About Dr. Terry "I couldn't think about what had happened to Gideon without wanting to do serious violence to anyone who contributed to his pain. I understand Eva's anger and get angry myself reading about the lonely life Gideon lived.  About Hugh "You were a child in the hands of an adult who knew all the right buttons to push. They want to make it our fault so they have no culpability in their crime, but it's not true." How hard it must be for a man to live with the guilt that he caused his own abuse. Thank God Eva & Dr. Petersen are going to help him move forward.  About Gideon: "Suddenly I understood why he'd worked so hard, why he was so insanely successful at such a young age. He'd been driven to find his place in the world, to be more than an outsider." As successful as he was he never found what he needed until Eva came into his life.  I have a feeling that his story is going to be so sad. I will need boxes of tissues reading the next book.

 We can make up our own chapter.  Someone can start off with a sentence or two and then another person can add to it. Eventually we will have a paragraph to review, edit and then move on to the next chapter.

  I think the fight and the fact that Eva and Gideon are such high profile people, the fire is lite under Sam. Most likely he wouldn't have done anything with the footage he has but he smells money. I don't think Brett is a part of the shakedown but he knows what was filmed.

 That's interesting. I have the Nook book and it isn't there. I found a difference in the hard copy I have & the e-book for Entwined too. I would have remembered this quote. I love it.

 I know I'm in the minority but....I'm on the side that believes Brett isn't so innocent in all this. As I've mentioned in the past my husband is a musician. When we were young he took jobs all around the mid-Atlantic area and there were groupies who followed the band from club to club. The guys talked about these women especially if they had a quickie. My husband and I rarely argued but we had real screaming matches when I heard some of the comments the band members made about some of the women who followed them around.  I find it hard to believe that Sam didn't share his videos with Brett. Sam was trying to make a name for himself.  Brett and the other group members allowed the videographer access and gave permission to video whatever he wanted. In real life, Sam would say something to Brett when he captured the Brett/Eva pictures. At a minimum he might say "Brett you were really going at it with this one", or something more vulgar. I can't forget that there was a video of them in Brett's car. Did Brett give Sam a key to mount the camera? Was it threaded through the trunk? Dashboard? This isn't something that is done without the car owner's knowledge.  I hope that Brett isn't as bad as I think he is but I won't be surprised if he is a real jerk.
