 I have to agree with everyone who is anti-Victor/Monica. I don't think they would be happy with each other even if they tried to go there. I would like to see Monica release Victor somehow so that he can move on and find someone who would love him. I know Monica says she loves him but Victor needs someone who will, not only love him but love the life he can give them. I think the life Victor offers is a good one for most women.  This is a good man who loves his daughter and wants what is best for her. He recognized that she was going through something (her mother didn't) and found appropriate help for her. My guess is the shrinks that didn't connect with Eva were high priced guys instead of shrinks who knew how to connect with a young person. Victor found someone who used different tactics to reach his young patients.Â

I have a question about one of my all time favorite scenes--the airplane ride to the Caribbean.  When Gideon was introducing Eva to the cuffs he told her to close her eyes and use your safeword before you open you eyes if you have to.  Then he said "Let's be very clear about this, Eva. Your safeword isn't for me It's for you. All you have to say to me is no or stop, but just like wearing the cuffs makes you feel bound, saying your safeword will put your mind in the right place. Do you understand?'  Where is the right place he wants her mind that means no? Just curious.

I did a little research  "Cherlin" is a surname that can be tied back to St. Petersburg (Russia not Florida). There is a possibility that my "friend" does have some Russian ties. That said, I'm still not sure that Tatiana is really a mob contact. I think she is an evil bit*h who likes to play with people and Cary is her current toy. She sees Deanna as a person who can push a wedge between Cary and Eva by making Gideon & Eva's life miserable.  Regarding Eva's compact bug. Monica (or Mommica as she is now affectionately known), gives Eva gifts all the time. Clothes, spa days, jewelry, etc. Eva wouldn't even think about a compact arriving from her mother.  I still believe that Clancy is behind the bracelet move.  Love reading all the theories.

 It sounds like Cary knows how to calm the models by being friendly and Tatiana jumped on his kindness.  My hit list for the Russian mafia  Corinne Tatiana Deanna depending on what happens in book 4 I might add  Brett Megumi because right now I don't trust them.     I don't like to kill off police officers but Graves better watch out if she keeps hounding our couple.  I don't have any family members on this list because I think that Eva & Gideon will need their family to have a real solid happy-ever-after. Besides I think Eva is going to figure out a way to bring them all together.

 I'm thinking Tatiana is one of her informants.

 My impression was that Corinne called Gideon a lot. (According to her every day) I think she made one of her daily calls and told Gideon she couldn't stay in this marriage any more and she was coming home to the U.S. Per Gideon, he was already off because of the limo s e x and went to pick Corinne up.  I don't care how anyone looks at her Corinne is a manipulator. I suspect she told Gideon it is his fault that her marriage isn't working because she is still stuck on him. It was during this conversation that Gideon told Corinne that he found someone who is good for him.Â

 I think she is trying to forgive him but she is still dangerous. My guess is Eva is still a little insecure and, not only that, she just had that little snake "Anne" whisper in her ear that Deanna had been with Gideon a lot.  Of course, Eva knows Deanna & Gideon only hooked up once and that wasn't very satisfying for either one of them.

 i don't disagree. Gideon messes up a lot and he knows he "f**ks up often. He is learning, I guess. Thank God Eva is patient most of the time.

 Deanna told Eva that Gideon made her feel like a who.re . He took a call while they were in the middle of doing the deed. I think Gideon grovelled a bit and let her know that he was a jerk and she didn't deserve to be treated that way. As they talked Deanna shared the information that would embarrass Gideon & Eva.

 I think Gideon let Arnoldo know that something came up and he wouldn't be at the restaurant. I also think that Gideon asked Arnoldo to keep an eye on Brett & Eva.  Arnoldo let Brett know that Eva was important to Gideon. Brett said she is important to me too. Arnoldo then said "may the best man win" Eva responded "I'm not a prize. Or I should say: I'm no prize." She felt Arnoldo didn't disagree with her.  It soon dawned on Arnoldo that Eva wasn't happy. He knew that Eva wasn't enjoying herself because he noted that she loves to eat and she hardly touched her food. He also noted that Brett wasn't aware of this love of food and, therefore, didn't know Eva that well.Â

 Christopher is so jealous of his brother I believe he will do anything to hurt him. Christopher was happy when Eva called him for lunch and he wanted to ask her out. He doesn't know that Eva knows the real Christopher and maybe he thinks he can get her from Gideon.  I think Christopher knows that Liz loves Gideon and wants a relationship with him. If Jr can convince Liz that Eva is a bad person for Gideon, Liz might do something that will sever the Gideon/Elizabeth relationship even more thus ensuring that Christopher is the only son in Elizabeth's life. Also, he is probably angry that his mother sold Ireland's shares to Gideon and maybe he thinks he can get them back, especially if Liz gave them to Gideon to hold and vote until Ireland was 21.

I think it would hurt Gideon. Like Eva said, the images would play back in his mind until it tarnished what they had. Eva & Gideon have enough baggage they don't need anymore.Â

 I loved it. One of my favorite scenes.

 That was the first time they met in the lobby of Crossfire. JFG was angry with Gideon for keeping him waiting.

 No I'm sure that the tape will not get out. That would hurt our couple too much. I can't see Sylvia letting it go that far.

 You really think it is ok to have the girl you love on a video having sex every which way but up. They used a girl that Eva said looked like her and even the reporter thought it was her performing. The golden video appears to be explicit and embarrassed Eva. I don't think that is love. Most men that love their girlfriends keep that a little more personal.  I don't think that video is a way to try to get back with someone. To me it told their fans that "golden" is a little s l u t; that is a time that Eva is trying to get away from. I'm not a Brett fan at the moment and he will have to go a long way to redeem himself for me.Â

 I agree. I thought it was Clancy from the minute I read his comments to Eva that he would do anything to protect his family.  I have another thought. I have really been angry with Brett and Eva going to see him about the video. What if Eva confronts Brett about the video and he goes to Sam Yimara (spelling) and beats the crap out of him and gets the video back. Eva saves Gideon a lot of money and she gets to destroy the tape and, best yet, Brett returns to my good graces. (I really want to like him.)

 I wondered about that too but when I first read EWY I felt like he went home. Of course the more I read and dissect I'm back to wondering if he is doing his own investigation in NYC.  Oh dear this is going to be a long wait for book 4.

This is a long shot but is it possible that Victor was in town and planted the bracelet? He would only have Eva's interests at heart and he could tell Gideon, "You're in the clear as long as you love my daughter and treat her right."

 IMO:  Victor did his own research and found out as much as he could now that the records were unsealed. When he came back to NYC (not sure if it was early or after Eva picked him up from the airport) he met with Graves and she filled in the blanks. I believe she gave him all the information available including Gideon, Stanton & Monica. Eva went to work so Victor had time to meet with the local PD and ask questions even if he didn't get to town early. I guess that it was because he found out everything that Stanton & Monica did allowed him to release some of his anger and then take Monica to bed.

   This makes sense to me. Graves & Victor would have a cop connection, however, I think Victor would fight for Gideon after he saw the evidence and pictures that Nathan took. What father (or mother for that matter) could stand to look at what was done to his daughter? Also, Graves and Victor both know from experience that Nathan wanted to kill Eva.  Maybe that is when Gideon had the opportunity to talk to Victor and ask for Eva's hand. Victor would have a different opinion of Gideon once he had all the facts.

 So you think Graves is pulling for Eva/Gideon? I can't decide. I know I would if I saw the pictures and videos. I want to take Graves at her word from the first Krav Maga meeting in RIY but that would be too easy for Sylvia to go there.Â

 I understand the cold case / closed case but why tell Eva that it looks like the Russian mob guy did it if they don't believe it? I thought they were hinting that they were close to closing the case because of this new evident. Fast forward to chapter 21 and we get that question about what does your dad think about Cross? and "keep thinking about Nathan's bracelet" questions. I don't know why she even asked about Victor's thoughts. I guess I don't like Graves' games.

Most people here wear an engagement ring and a wedding band or just a wedding band.

 I know. It is the one thing that drives me crazy about Gideon. He needs to give up the ghost. It also fuels Eva and I just hate that she keeps playing with Brett.  I went back through all the Brett encounters and Eva always has "sexy" thoughts about him and his voice but she knows in her heart that he is trouble. Neither one of these main characters can step away from their bad relationships. I want to hit them over the head sometimes.
