OMG me too. I'm still sitting here trying to figure out how I feel about everything that happened. The only thing I can say positively is that Sylvia is a great writer.Â

 I think he had his private session with Dr. Petersen and recalled something about his rape that embarrassed him. Or it is possible they talked about Anne's brother and his suicide, Corrine's attempt at suicide and Gideon's dad. Gideon thinks that he caused these suicides directly and indirectly. He is digging up his past and it is hard for him to live with the memories so in his head he is thinking he might be dangerous to Eva if he hurts her again. He doesn't want to break her and have Eva commit suicide.Â

 I don't think it will be tomorrow. I don't recall that she released snippets on Friday in the past. My guess (and hope) is it will be next week with the picture.

  Gideon has a little kink in him but he isn't into pain, at least not with Eva. Both Eva and Gideon had enough pain in their life when they were young.

Good job ladies.Â

 It has to be Gideon. He's sorry that he showed up in San Diego after he let Eva believe he was letting her go alone. I'm sure her face told him she was angry. My guess he was planning a more romantic meeting but Eva loves a sweaty Gideon. Who wouldn't?

 Eva can't resist his body and Gideon knows it. As hot as he is Gideon is still insecure in his relationship with Eva.

Ladies,  I think we talked about this before but I can't remember the answer. Why are we trying to kill Angus, the man who many of us believe protected the young Gideon instead of Arnoldo his friend?  I'll help with the kill I just want to understand why he is next.

GiGi,    I don't know if you read the latest K. Masters book yet but she has a post on Goodreads. I guess there are people upset with her because she isn't planning the Luke & Cassie story to be a BDSM story. It makes sense (to me anyway) that Cassie wouldn't be into BDSM based on her history. It always surprises me when people get upset with an author's planned story. I'm a talented reader but I couldn't write a book (not a decent one anyway) if my life depended on it. As long as I get a good story I don't care. If a book's subject matter doesn't appeal to me I don't buy the book and I wait for the next one s/he writes. Anyway K. Masters is going to be at Book Bash this year (as well as many other writers you all have me reading). I can't wait to meet her.

It could be an alternate scene. It could be anything or nothing. I hope you enjoy it for whatever it is.  Thank you for a wonderful 2013!   It was just barely seven in the morning.  I’d left the apartment Eva shared with Cary only a couple hours earlier, wanting to give her time to catch a few hours sleep before she headed into work. We’d been at each other all night, both of us too needy and greedy. But there’d been something else, too. An urgency on Eva’s part that gnawed at me and left me uneasy.  Something was bothering my wife.  My gaze drifted to the window and its view of Manhattan beyond it, then settled on the empty wall where a collage of photos of her and us would be hanging in the same space in my penthouse office in our home on Fifth Avenue. I could imagine the collage clearly, having spent countless hours studying it over the last few months. Looking out at the city had once been the way I encapsulated my world. Now, I accomplished that by looking at Eva.  I sat at my desk and woke my computer with a shake of the mouse, taking a deep slow breath as my wife’s face filled my monitor. She wore no makeup in the photo that was my desktop wallpaper, and a smattering of light freckles on her nose made her appear younger than her twenty-four years. My gaze slid over her features—the curve of her brows, the brightness of her gray eyes, the fullness of her lips. In the moments when I let myself think of it, I could almost feel those lips against my skin. Her kisses were benedictions, promises from my angel that made my life worth living.  With a determined exhalation, I picked up the phone and speed dialed Raúl. Despite the earliness of the hour, he answered swiftly and alertly.  â€œMrs. Cross and Cary Taylor are heading to San Diego today,†I said, my hand curling into a fist at the thought. I didn’t have to say more.  â€œGot it.† â€œI want a recent photo of Anne Lucas and a detailed rundown of where she was last night on my desk by noon.† â€œAt the latest,†he affirmed.  I hung up and stared at Eva’s captivatingly beautiful face. I’d caught her in a happy, unguarded moment, a state of being I was determined to keep her in for the rest of her life. But last night she’d been distressed by a possible run-in with a woman I’d once used. It had been awhile since I’d last crossed paths with Anne, but if she was responsible for aggravating my wife, she’d be seeing me again. Soon.  Opening my inbox, I started sifting through my emails, drafting quick answers when required and working my way toward the subject line that had caught my eye the moment my email client opened.  I felt Eva before I saw her.  Lifting my head, my keystrokes slowed. A sudden rush of relief soothed the agitation I felt whenever I wasn’t with her.  I leaned back to better appreciate the view. “You’re up early, angel.† Eva stood in the doorway, her blond hair in a sexy tangle around her shoulders, her cheeks and lips flushed from sleep, her curvy body clad in a tank top and shorts. She was braless, her lush swelling softly beneath the ribbed cotton. Petite and voluptuous, she often pointed out how different she was from the women I’d been photographed with before her.  â€œI woke up missing you,†she replied, with the throaty voice that never failed to make me hard. “How long have you been up?† â€œNot long.†I pushed the keyboard drawer in to make room for her on my desk.  She padded over on bare feet, casually and innately sensual. The moment I first saw her I’d known she would wreck me. The promise was there in her eyes and the way she moved. Everywhere she went, men stared at her. Coveted her. I hope this is the appropriate place for this post. I picked this forum because I started with Crossfire and spend most of my time here.  I want to wish everyone a very happy 2014. In addition, I want to thank Sylvia Day for not only introducing me to a great book series with a very hot, damaged and in love fictitious couple (Eva & Gideon) but also to some wonderful (real life) lovers of books.  My initial visit to this site was in search of the release date for Entwined With You. After jumping on the site a few times to peruse the members' thoughts on the books and characters, some that I love, some that I want to choke, I started to debate what Sylvia "really meant" in BTY & RIY. Then I began to participate on the other threads because I was sure I understood SD's clues and how they were going to play out in EWY. (BTW I was wrong more than I was right.)  My initial thought was that I would spend a couple days on this forum and then move on but I couldn't stay away. I returned regularly for almost a year now and I absolutely love everyone's thoughts and input. It will be more exhilarating when we get to discuss Captivated (not asking for an update from SD but I won't be upset if she shares a snippet or two or three or four. )   Not trying to get on your nerves Sylvia just having fun.  Anyway, after talking with fellow fans I found a group of ladies with a similar love of books. They are generous with their time and recommendations. I can't thank them enough for their sense of humor, excellent advise and just being an all around great group of women. One of the best times I had last year was attending Book Bash. (Thanks Kirsten for letting me know this event was so close to me and getting me a ticket.) To the rest of our little group "The Crossfire Angels" I look forward to our daily discussions, pictures, and commiserations about everything from soup to Nutella. To my fellow "Kill A Character" participants some of you might need psychiatric help--you know who you are. Finally GiGi thanks for being the keeper of the book list. It is a great reference when I'm looking for my next read.  Thanks Sylvia for giving me good stories to read and introducing me to some good friends. I hope 2014 finds you healthy and writing more wonderful stories.
