 She accepted Gideon's demands after she agreed to the night out. I like the way the evening ended. It just surprised me that she wanted to support her friend before she wanted to support Gideon and spend time with him. Regardless the nightclub s e x scene was one of my favorites so I'm happy she went.Â

 This still confuses me. I don't understand why Eva has such a hard time saying no to Brett. I get she was subconsciously trying to make Gideon feel her pain when she kissed him but . . .  She advises Gideon to cut ties/calls with Corinne; Eva takes calls from Brett She hates seeing Gideon with Corinne; Eva agrees to see Brett. Doesn't she think that will hurt Gideon?  And so on...

 You are right this is one messed up group. Gideon and Eva have a lot to overcome but we are all cheering for them.

 I agree. Sometimes I think some of Christopher's problem with Gideon is because he knows what Hugh did to Gideon but he was to young to put it together. Now that he is older he feels guilty but his guilt comes off as jealousy. Maybe it is jealousy because he thinks Gideon is trying to get back at him for the fact that he didn't tell that Gideon was raped.  Another thought maybe Hugh threatened Christopher that he would be next if he told and Christopher is holding all this in and it is festering over the years.  I think Eva is going to help this family because she loves Gideon so much and she wants him to be happy and having a relationship with his family will make him happy.

   I so want Eva to take down someone with her skills. I think it will help her dad & Gideon feel that she can protect herself and let her be more independent.Â

 I don't trust Corinne. I think that Jean Francois told Corinne about Gideon and Eva. She realized she lost and thought about a last ditch attempt by committing suicide. She called her therapist, Anne, who encouraged her to go with her plan and Gideon would come running. Anne would tell her that Gideon couldn't leave her if she tried to take her own life for him.   I know this is far fetched but I think Corinne was willing to do anything to get Gideon and suicide was her last resort. Regardless I'm not sure she would actually go there if Anne didn't encourage her.

 I think she can be honest that he was trying to protect her from all the publicity that she gets when she is with Gideon. He was trying to take the attention off her in the hopes that Nathan will leave her alone. She can also tell him that Nathan was the person who attacked Cary and she doesn't know how to deal with the fact that knowing her put Cary in danger. I think she is still having a problem with that.

I have a question that I don't think anyone brought up yet. (I try to go through all the discussions so I don't repeat but sometimes I forget where I left off.)  When Eva was talking to Gideon about the renovations at the penthouse she wants two bedrooms joined by an open bathroom.  Does that mean that the atypical sexual parasomnia will never be controlled enough for them to sleep together? Is it necessary to have two bedrooms? When I was reading RIY I was thinking they would have two beds and share the same room.  I want them to have a regular life that includes sharing their bed but I don't think that is possible.Â

 Good point. I think Eva needs the SD trip for both her and Cary. She needs to talk to someone and I don't think she is ready to bring up these issues in her couples session. I think back to when she said "I love him" to Dr. Petersen. Gideon said she needed his stamp of approval. Maybe she needs to talk to someone and she doesn't want Gideon to think she is looking for approval when what she really needs is to just talk through all these events.

I just don't get how Gideon was dumping responsibility. In my opinion he isn't responsible for Corinne. He isn't her husband. Gideon takes too much on himself and if he doesn't take responsibility then folks are upset.  He feels bad for using Corinne but I still believe, from everything I read, he tried to tell her they wouldn't have the relationship she wants. I understand that he gave her mixed messages and that was wrong but Corinne needs to take some responsibility for her own actions.Â

 I don't think Gideon should have taken her to the ER or a doctor either. Her parents would have been a good alternative if it was necessary. I think that Gideon talked to Giroux before this incident because they were in the business deal. He must have told him to get here asap and that is why he was waiting. In addition, I think that Gideon believed her doctor was monitoring her closely.  It sounds like Giroux found Corinne after telling her that Gideon was engaged.

 I agree with your conclusions.  I'm thinking Elizabeth was drafted by Corinne to get on her side to become Mrs. G. Cross.

 I think he realized Eva was going to be more to him than a one night stand before they even went out. That is why he asked her over and over what he had to do and then met her at the nightclub and took her to the advocacy dinner.Â

 I was very lucky for my first two pregnancies but my son made up for it as I was sick for almost 9 months. I think I am one of the few people who lost weight while pregnant.  Regarding Corinne -- I think in the beginning of the Giroux's marriage they were happy and JF looked at his wife through rose colored glasses. I think Corinne was waiting for her husband to become Gideon but that didn't happen. My guess after they were married for a time she realized she couldn't change Jean F into the person she wanted and started to withdrawal. Jean didn't know how to deal and aggravated the situation. I'm sure Giroux wasn't happy with his sex life but for all we know they may have a decent sex life and Corinne might fantasize that she is with Gideon during the act.   Corinne was in regular contact with Gideon and made a decision to come home knowing that he was finally in a relationship with someone he cared about. This is what made me angry. Corinne couldn't let Gideon have a chance at love. From what we know he didn't want to marry Corinne and I'm sure this was discussed over the years.  I think Corinne can be classified as a stalker based on the number of unanswered calls and visits she made to Gideon, his family and possibly his friends. In addition, we know that she moved into an apartment near Gideon.  I don't think anyone is happy that she tried to kill herself they (at least I am) angry that she would hurt Gideon by the attempted suicide. We know that it hurt Gideon deeply. Gideon knows he is partially responsible for her situation because he did use her to protect Eva but we also know he told her their relationship wouldn't progress into what it was before.  I do think Jean Francois did come to get his wife but she was already out of it because of the medicine she is taking. It seems to me he doesn't know what to do except blame Gideon but I think he tried. We will see if these two resolve their differences or if they call it quits.Â

 I'm not usually up this late but I couldn't sleep. I'm happy someone is talking.  Antidepressants - yes she should not take them while pregnant but if Anne Lucas is treating her (I think she is) then it is possible that Anne is trying to hurt her as part of a "get back at Gideon" scheme. Video - Yes I think C Jr. is behind a lot. I think he has his hands on the actual sex video or he is trying to get it.  I don't Eva thinks of Brett sexually except when she sees him or he is brought up in conversation. It is kind of like any of us who a gaga over a musician or movie star.  She is just stating the fact that he is hot and has a sexy voice when he sings. There are many stars that I look at like that. Look how we all comment on Henry Cavill.. Cary - I like him too. I hope his relationship with Tat breaks up and she isn't pregnant. I want him happy and so does Eva.  Regarding the reviews - I'm not reading any more. Most weren't about the book they were about silly things that SD had no control over. I'm happy that she is taking a more active and stern role in the next release. Sounds like she wants it out before the end of the year. Hopefully that will happen.

 Good point I forgot about that. I was angry with Gideon. I think my anger clouded my reading.
