Hi Donnad, if you go into the fanfiction site the story one and go into the terms and conditions that Gideon Cross (the writer person) had put on in the reading room I think it is then you can go into Docs and there are lists of all the stories they have written.  Yes the food fight is a really good one, really lets them loosen up

Gideon's always had sexual hang-ups. Corrine knew that better than anyone else, having spent three years in vain trying to get Gideon to spend the night with her, not just have sex at the hotel and then call it an evening.

 

It's been only three weeks. Is Corrine frustrated? Oh yeah. Is she pressuring Gideon, though? Oh no. She doesn't want to scare him off. She'll settle for whatever scraps he'll throw, which these days consists of publicly dating her, probably talking on the phone every day too (the latter for the benefit of his phone records, which the cops would be watching.)

 

Right now, Corrine's thrilled Eva is history and the media is going nuts with reports she and Gideon have re-united. Is Gideon denying those rumors? No. Is Gideon continuing to spend time with her? Yes. Has Eva been in the picture at all? No, not to Corrine's knowledge, except for the time two mornings ago when Eva -- without Gideon's knowledge -- showed up on Corrine's doorstep to pick a fight.

LN is it not longer than 3 weeks when you think of the things:-

 

First Charity Dinner - Red Dress, that was a saturday

Weekend chilling stayed in all weekend, Cary went to late photo shoot

Vegas Weekend

Beach weekend

Advocacy Dinner or was that not a weekend

Dad's arrival weekend

and I think there were another couple when they were just chilling watching TV and staying in, I think it is about 6 weeks by now but I know I have the order wrong

 

I maybe wrong but I thought it was a wee bit longer than 3 weeks

no problem, I would have liked that too.  You should go in, I joined it as it is fun reading the stories, they have even done ones of Mark and Steven which is great to give you a feel of the different characters like I say it is fun and it has passed the time between books.  I also comment on the story lines (sheena on the FB site which is my real name anyway)

Thoughts on stuff Gideon says.

Um, Gideon DID kill Nathan. But we already knew that from that radio interview Sylvia gave earlier this spring.

 

"I was afraid you’d run… that you’d be afraid. Of me."

Gideon planned to keep the killing a secret he'd carry to his own grave. Because he feared Eva would be terrified of him if she knew what he'd done, and so he'd have lost her forever. He'd rather have risked possibly losing her over jealousy (of Corrine) than definitely losing her over terror of him. He was betting on being able to get Eva back once he was able to get rid of Corrine, but he was convinced he'd never get Eva back if she knew he had become a killer.

 

"My lawyers will be talking to the police tomorrow, to get a feel for where things stand."

This is in direct response to Graves having cornered Eva at the gym. As soon as Eva fled his apartment, he called his defense team immediately. So everything Graves did is about to come under the scrutiny of the defense team. Every last word she said. This could be how Gideon's lawyers figure out Graves violated Eva's own rights to a lawyer.

 

"I have to know that you can live with what I’ve done."

THIS is why he risked coming to see Eva. To ask this question.

 

And in Eva's mind, "I couldn’t contain the ferocious swell of emotion that needed release–the love and need, the anger and fear. And the pain. God, the pain. I still felt it keenly. I wanted to tear into him. To punish as well as pleasure. To make him experience some small measure of what I had when he’d pushed me away."

What Eva learned this night does NOT totally negate her very justified feelings of hurt and betrayal for how Gideon treated her. So unfortunately, Eva's still going to have jealousy and insecurity episodes over Gideon being with Corrine. And her head is spinning in so many ways, one of which has been to rip open raw all the awful wounds Gideon inflicted when he pushed her away.

no, to all who think it is SD's work, it is not, it is a Fanfiction site that does Crossfire stories, there are over 50 of them from the two books so far and examples of what maybe going on before EWY, they are people who are telling the stories as if they are Gideon and Eva, Carry etc, they are quite good and you can totally think they would be good stories, but nothing to do with Sylvia, they are funny and in some way give way to your imagination about what the characters maybe thinking about situations.  There is a fanfiction site and an interaction site where you go in discuss the snapshots, stories they have posted but you are speaking to them as if they are Gideon & Eva, it is fun and they answer you like you think Gideon and Eva would etc.

Honestly i was just thinking that. Corrine is really full of herself! I still can't get over how she was shocked that Eva didn't look like her. Who says that!!! Eva is a gorgeous curvy women. Corrine could probably be knocked over by a strong wind!

It could be Corrine but also the police seeing if Eva would bite, I would not be surprised though if after Eva going to have it out with Corrine that she did not get Gideon and Eva followed 

I was a little confused by this because she knows Gideon is dark... maybe she got the full taste of the f*%k pad and all it's "accessories." What confused me though is her saying that Eva melted him... how can she say that, then not realize that she could never be telling Eva anything she didn't already know?

I think she has been watching the relationship for a while and the way Eva was with Gideon and how he acted differently with her, she could also be the reporter that was putting a lot of the pictures on the web and the articles if she is freelance, she could be a stalker of Gideon.............

I think Eva and Gideon can play just as dirty with the reporter, play her at her own game. Feed her info. The hunted becomes the hunter.

But what is it that she thinks she could tell Eva about Gideon being Dark? I'm sure at this point there is nothing ANYONE can say that would make Eva turn away from him.!

 

But she would help as far as leaking the Brett story to help Eva and Gideon to their advantage.!

 

 I'm hoping she doesn't find out about the Nathan story she would probably blackmail Gideon and it could her clothes in Snapshot 13..

The other reason could be she did some digging when going out with Gideon about his past with him being a reporter especially if she got suspicious about him never asking her to stay the night.

 

It would deflect of Gideon and Eva if she leaked Eva with Brett, maybe she will get her interview to lead everyone down that route to let Gideon and Eva get a break

She definitely sounds like a girl who fell for Gideon only to be tossed in the discard pile once he shoved his d*** in her.

I agree, a woman scorned as they say, I just hope she does not cause more trouble, I don't think either of them could cope with that, their lives are too intense as it is

OMG Kirsten, I have just finished reading chapter 1 and the bit from Chapter 2, God Sylvia is a great writer, I was so on the edge of my seat at work LOL thinking Oh No poor Gideon being so worried about Eva's reaction and how Eva eased him, Oh I can't wait for the book now, will just have to keep re-reading these until the book comes out.

 

Don't trust that reporter though, she seems a bit nasty, I can't take any more women drama or another Corrine, so I hope the fact that Eva has nothing to say or is not making a bigger deal of the break up will see this woman go away

That may explain that whole Vidal Records-Times Square deal. But is it really such a good idea? Even though Cary and Ireland don't know about Gid's involvement.

No this is not from SD it is a page that a few people who write as Gideon and Eva, Cary, Ireland etc do stories to keep everyone going until the book comes out, like a Fanfiction page, it is quite good really to see how they think things have progressed between the books but it is not from Sylvia

Just about to read it myself, had to catch up with everything on this site first then I checked into FB and yes everyone is talking about it on SD page, so cool so now I am going to get a cuppa (at work lol) and read chapter 1 and the snippet from chapter 2 Yeh!!!

Oh I'm sure they've figured that out. But I seriously doubt he's told them. It's a secret he'd want to keep even deeper than the secret of him being a rape victim. He was terrified of Eva ever finding out he literally had blood on his hands. If he'd had his way, he's carry both of those secrets to his grave. Telling Stanton and Monica he did it would be seriously stupid from a legal point of view -- they could always turn state's evidence against him. But far worse, Monica could blurt out to Eva what he'd done. Obviously, Monica had already blurted out something Gideon never wanted Eva to know about, that rape pictures/video of her (Eva) existed.

I agree LN I don't think he would ever want to put them in that situation or Eva knowing through another party 

Chapter Fifteen, a couple of things Gideon blurted out to Eva that made me want to cry .... these are on page 226

 

" I know you're disgusted by what you saw the other night .... what I was doing to myself ... I can make you want me again. Let me try."

 

Oh poor Gideon. This is the way he felt inside, all because some sick b****** raped him and his mother decided Gideon was simply some disturbed little liar. His rapist made him feel he was dirty and his mother made him feel he wasn't worthy of anyone.

 

And the story strongly suggests that the location where Gideon was blurting out this agony, in the library of the house he grew up in, was the "scene of the crime."

My heart actually was in my throat reading that part, so emotional you can really see how he would feel like that

As I'm reading Chapter 14 where we start to see more of Christopher Jr when he and Eva go out to lunch. He's acting just like Corrine did in the beginning ~ trying to come off all sweet and nice to Eva but with a hidden agenda - he wants to take Eva away from Gideon just like Corrine wants Eva eliminated from the competition to Gideon's heart.  

 

In my opinion Chris & Corrine belong together because of their selfish ways and how dense they both are for thinking they even stand a chance of getting what they want. We see their true colors start to come out and show them for who they really are. I know a lot of you say Corrine would never go for Christopher because he's younger but when you have two people who want to tear apart Gideon and Eva, I wouldn't be the least surprised if they teamed up and tried to make more problems for our favorite couple. I hope not! lol  

So true Caroline, Chris Jnr is so envious of Gideon it is so obvious but he is also like a spoilt brat, he wants what the other has which can also be very dangerous, hopefully for him not Gideon lol

I'm sure Magdalene saw something awful in his eyes when he realized Eva just pulled a runner, probably a very serious one.

 

I think Corrine got a good look at his face too, and it dawned on her she had very serious competition. I even think something "snapped" inside of Corrine, because the gloves came off the very next day -- Corrine tried crashing Gideon's office, and then seized on an opportunity to pull the nooner stunt. Corrine went for all-her-glory triumph at the fundraiser to panic mode. What changed? Gideon -- running after Eva.

So true LN, Corrine I think was green with envy as Gideon never had that relationship with her and she has left her husband for Gideon only to have him at that time not interested in her

BTY when Eva spends the night with Gideon for the time after the hotel. She says he fisted the bottom sheet during his nightmare.

I remember that as well, that is why I was wondering if this was a nightmare

I think Corrine, all of a sudden desperate because of how Gideon ran after Eva the night before, showed up unannounced hoping to see him. Trying to catch him at lunchtime was her best bet -- probably her only bet. Chasing Gideon over the telephone wasn't going to cut it anymore -- Corrine needed to start chasing him in person. She was probably counting on him seeing her.

 

My guess: when she arrived, she saw Angus parked at the curb, where Angus was supposed to drive Gideon to a lunch meeting offsite (one Gideon blew off because of the crisis he had going on upstairs, Nathan in his office.) Corrine probably lurked in the lobby waiting to catch Gideon as he came through. Then she spotted Eva through the front glass walls of the lobby, standing across the street. On evil impulse, pulled the "stunt." Went out to see Angus, who by that point figuring Gideon wasn't coming down after all, offered to drive Corrine home.

 

Note: Angus would have known Corrine fairly well while she and Gideon were engaged. Angus started working for Gideon at age 20. Gideon and Corrine were together for three years, roughly his age 18 to 21. The final year, they were engaged. So Angus must have driven Corrine a lot.

 

Love Angus, though, that morning Eva hopped in the Bentley, after days and days and days of refusing rides. Then Eva ordered him to drive her to Corrine's residence. Hah!!! Angus must have thought "oh s***" inside, but he did what Eva asked.
