I just finished all3 books for the 4th time. I really scare myself with this. Anyway, if CBY doesn't come out soon, we will all be scary. Some things are a little clearer. First, I think Eva told her mom they were engaged when they were getting ready for the benefit. She says something like might as well start the ball rolling (about the engagement) and then the chapter ends. That made more sense. This way Monica, Cary, and Trey all know. Monica then tells Stanton in the limo on the way. The biggies know. So does Lizzie by the end of the dinner and with that ring, the whole world knows. Second, I think Anne and Terry may be separated. He was not at the benefit. She had a whole new look. She never got over Gideon as is evident when she tells Eva she knows of 2 women who were seriously depressed when he dumped them and goes after Cary of all the men there. An affair is one thing but knowing all this is serious stalking. I am more sure than ever that what went on with Gideon and Deanna is far beyond what either G or D said. They seem way too chummy. And, Betty, you are so right. Gideon was more than clear with Corinne. She was obviously sleeping with her husband if she was pregnant and pretty recently. I am not so sure she was as much in love with G as she didn't want anyone else to have him. He could screw around all he wanted but as soon as he made a commitment and was in love, Corinne goes whacky. If I can't have him no one will. Seriously, G must have some major skills. lol. Anne, Deanna, Corinne all nutso after having been with him. Add Maggie who was also in love with him. And that's just the ones we know. Not to be crude but his d ick is like crack.

I agree with you. Â I don't remember it either and I am in the process of rereading. Â In the middle of RIY. Â I started to reread cause I thought I was missing something. Â Will "revise and revisit" when the reread is complete.

I think Brett is out for PR.  Plain and simple.  If he was really into Eva, he could have found her long before the video was made or the song was written.  It really isn't that hard to find someone when you know her name, where she was from, etc.  They had to know someone in common.  He didn't.  She was Gideon's "ex" at the time and famous in the tabloids  What great PR for a song about her for an up and coming group.   Corinne did not believe Gideon was not into her.  She was sure he still wanted her.  She broke off the engagement.  All the women in his life had continued to be brunette and looked a lot like her.  She was so certain she could and would win him back.  Vanity for certain plus family loved the two of them together.  She really had no clue how much in love with Eva he was.  The incredible connection.  Corinne and Gideon never had that.  They never had the true closeness that G and E shared.  I really think she deluded herself into thinking that she would absolutely win him back and she was willing to take him on whatever terms.  She loved him and she didn't much care about anything else but getting him back.  She had to know she was pregnant.  4 months?  She must have been frantic to get him in bed and then shortly later tell him she was pregnant.  The oldest trick in the book.  She probably could not believe she couldn't.  Everyone wants at Gideon for one reason or another.  A piece of him.  A pound of flesh.  Eva just wanted Gideon for who he really was.  What a great turn on for him. She just loved him for him with all his warts.  How great for him.  How new.  No wonder it was so hard for him to open up.  Fear of losing her if she knew too much must have been crippling. Â

HI ALL-- Â I think these theories all hold a lot of truth. Â Hadn't thought about the Anne L idea before but it makes sense. Â I just don't like her. Â But then there are a lot of very unpleasant characters. Â Lol. Â Deanna is a problem to me. Â Anne certainly could be. Â Â G is a very wealthy and powerful man which makes him so desirable to a lot of women besides the fact he is drop dead gorgeous and a genius in bed. Â It's like he becomes a drug and only E was his match. Â Men find him a challenge and are so jealous of him for his power, wealth, looks, and charisma. Â Â So, there are so many potential problems and enemies for Sylvia to deal with. Â I just want some happiness for these 2 along the way. Â I love how we get inside the heads of G and E. Â

He looks the part. Â Now can he act? Â And let's hope he can negotiate more money than they wanted to pay Charlie. Â Geez, that is nothing.

Hi ladies-- Â With all the stupid crap over the FSOG movie and the delays, I had a thought. Â I am hoping that Sylvia's publisher--Penguin I think---doesn't make the same mistake of waiting too long to release CBY. Â We on this board are a bit obsessed, yes I admit it. Â But the average fan will tire of waiting. Â Again, the reason FSOG was so big was you could go from one book to the next. Â Fast. Â The reason I got obsessed was I went from BTY right into the second book nonstop. Â Got angry when Entwined took so long. Â I know it has only been 5 months since but when people are really into characters, they don't want the wait. Â If the book is done, then release it. Â Makes no sense to me to wait. Â Anyone who wanted Entwined got it already a LONG time ago. Â Her tour is over. Â They have released a ton of older books. Â Let's get on with it already. Â I see it with TV shows. Â Everyone I knew watched Mad Men. Â Then they took a long time between seasons and people stopped watching. Â It may still get nominated for awards but not as many are watching. Â I love G and E too much for that to happen. Â Let that book out, Penguin. Â End of rant.

I have always felt Deanna is a major problem. hath no fury....... She is angry and smart. Bad combo. She is out for revenge. Why, I don't get. As I said a while ago, we all have had a one night stand go bad. There is something else we don't know. Gideon didn't get his billions by being a sucker so I think he knows what he's doing. He messes up with Eva cause of emotions. But I don't remember him messing up with others.

I completely get your point. Â I think part of the reason the FSOG books were so incredibly popular is because you could go from one book to the next. Â I did. Â Read the whole story in 2 weeks. -

This is my greatest concern after this enormous mess that is the FSOG movie. Â To me, if I were head of PR, I would be looking to cast the series ASAP so that when the last of the 5 books is out, the series follows shortly thereafter. Â Biggest bang for your buck. Â Strike while the iron is hot. Â That whole thing. Â Some movies/TV shows can take years to put together. Â I get that. Â But when something is a cult hit like FSOG and perhaps CROSSFIRE it is stupid to waste time. -
Because once you sign with a publisher, they have the right to decide when it is published, how it is published, and what you as the author can use to promote the book. Â It is all in the contract. Â It is like a song writer when he/she sells a song. Â They do not have the right to tell the singer how to sing their song. Â How to arrange it. Â When the song will be released. Â It is annoying to me but that is how it works.

Sylvia posted something on FB that is a quote from a famous author. Â Cannot bring it over. Â Anyway, the quote was something like 10 years from now no one will remember how long that waited for the book to come out, but how good it was when it did. Â Maybe someone can bring it but I kind of thought she was telling us just be patient. Â Easy for her to say. Â She knows how it goes. Â ;-)

Don't want to sound like a complainer, but all this crap with the FSOG movie and what feels like a delay in CBY is getting old. Â On with it already. Â Geez, Â we all know the book is complete and ready. Â Let's have it before we all go nuts. Â I do not blame Sylvia one bit. Â She is ready. Â And that movie? Â There must be a dozen actors who want to be CG. Â Get one already. Â The hype is way past annoying.

I don't know what is taking that project so long. Â The books were written and released over 2 years ago. Â At this point, I am not sure the excitement is what it could have been. Â Too much time. Â Too many issues finding CG. Â Now script issues? Â I thought they were gonna start filming in November. Â I so hope CROSSFIRE goes more smoothly. Â We love this story too much for it to be f ucked up. -
Agree. Â I think all the negativity was why he is gone. Â Really a shame for him. Â Just read Henry is a top contender. Â Again. Â So I am conflicted cause if he is CG then he will never be Gideon.

It is true. Â I saw 3 different postings on FB. Â I kind of feel sorry for him. Â He wasn't my choice but I was getting used to it and I felt that with the right script and direction, he would have worked. Â Now what? Â I hope the same doesn't happen with CROSSFIRE.

Love  that song.  The Etta James version is the best.  I don't know one wedding where this hasn't been played.  It was my daughter and son-in-law's first dance.  Perfect. -
I think that the wedding will take place in a property that Gideon owns. Â He owns half the city so it seems. Â lol. Â That way it will happen sooner rather than later. Anyway, wherever it is, Monica will put together an amazing wedding. Â Eva says she is great at event planning. Â I have every confidence that the wedding will be incredible. Â Sylvia will make sure of it. Â ;-) Â I really would love to hear their vows.

I am not worried about how Lionsgate will deal with the se xual scenes at all. Â I watch Showtime and HBO all the time. Â Let's remember that BEHIND THE CANDLEABRA Â (sp) just won as best TV movie. Â The shower scene could be an issue but a good director should be able to handle that. Â (pardon the pun). Â The se x is great fun to read and chemistry between actors can capture without seeing all the body parts. Â Remember back in the olden days when movies showed no skin? Â Some of the hottest scenes I have ever seen. Â The most important part with this series is the casting. Â There has to be sizzle between the actors who play E and G. Â They have to LOOK like the way Sylvia has described them. Â With E and G the scenes are making love most of the time and our imagination is so able to go there. Â Even the first encounter in the limo should be easy for a good director. Â For cable, as long as a p enis or v agina is not seen, the rest of the body is just fine. Â -

 Hi Gigi--  I do believe that from what I have been reading on fb from Sylvia that the publisher has the book.  Has had the book.  She doesn't know when they will release it which is what leads me to believe that it is the same publisher that has all her work.  Except for a couple of things, all of the rereleases have been from much older things she did including when she wrote under a different name and with other people.  So, that is why I have been saying that the publisher is trying to get all the bucks they can while she is so hot.  I don't think Sylvia is any happier than we are with the delay.  Yes, it is money in her pocket but I think she is much more invested in CROSSFIRE now.   God, I hope there is not too much more angst in 4 and 5.  We need resolutions and not more problems.  That being said, the kidnapping idea is a real possibility.  Here is another thought.  I am so not trusting of Brett.  Could he have totally known about the se x tape?  Could the whole courting of Eva been to further Six Ninths?  After so many years, he decides he wants her again?  The timing seems very convenient.

I think that what is holding up the release is money. Â The publisher is releasing older books by Sylvia left and right. Â I feel like she has become very popular and they are trying to get all the money they can with all kinds of publicity before CBY is released. Â I hate and resent this but business ain't fair. Â I want Sylvia to be super successful cause I love her writing but WE NEED CBY and book 5. We need the TV show to start. Â I feel like everything is on hold because of releasing of older books and I hate that. Â Â And I don't think Sylvia is too happy about it either. Â Hence al the quotes from BTY on FB.

Will has to have a purpose. Megumi is the coworker and we talk about her a lot. Eva needed a girl friend. Shawna's purpose was to get Eva to that concert. And to be another girlfriend. I have read just about all of Sylvia's books and she never has a character who just is. Not that I can remember anyway. I love the idea of Gideon buying the ring at auction. The less about Lizzie the better to me.
