  Hi Avid_reader, the metal object above the book looks like some sort of key, the type that might open handcuffs. I hope this is not a hint that Gideon is arrested for suspicion of murder. The detectives burning their notes re: Nathan is just too unrealistic for me...even if this is just a fictional story.

Hi GiGi & Gabri, we all have our own tastes, don't we. I'm of the belief that most of us will not be happy with the actor chosen to play Gideon, (as per that other series turned movie).I just hope that the person chosen does the role justice. That's all I can ask for. -

GiGi & sscrph, I like & agree with what both of you have said. Gideon wasn't interested in Deanna really...she was just a means to get rid of Anne. As far as Deanna saying Gideon having a dark side...according to Gideon they only spent that one time together (& he didn't finish)...he also said he barely spoke a few words to her. I'm just wondering if the dark side comment is coming from Deanna just spying/stalking him. What do you think?

I agree with you GLH. It's all about the money...profits for the publishing company. Sylvia deserves all the success she receives but I deeply resent being played here by the publishing house because we are such devoted fans of her writing!

Hi sscrph, anything is possible...look at all of us here in this forum. I think we've posted so many possibilities. Your suggestion that there might be another guy crawling out of the past...why not. I'm getting very, very impatient though, aren't you? I just want to read CBY & get on with it. Only Sylvia can tell us what's next.

  Hi tbidwell, Gideon wasn't in relationships with other women, those women were just for s*x. He & Eva are sharing their lives with each other & no matter how compatible you are with someone there will be arguments & disagreements...no two people agree on everything. Hope this helps.

Michael & Megumi weren't together that long & he was the one pulling away from her...not calling or returning her calls & doing his own thing without her. This ticked her off so she ended it. Sorry everyone but I still think this is just a case of Michael stewing due to "her" breaking up with him-his ego was bruised. He never seemed into her & Megumi (to our knowledge) never mentioned Michael asking any questions about Eva. Now if this darn book would get released we could all find out!!!

What does everyone think about this scenario??? Cary & Eva go to California...Gideon follows (or goes with them). Eva & Cary meet with Dr. Travis & have great sessions. Later that evening or later that weekend Eva goes on & on about how great it was to talk to Dr. Travis & wishes she was closer to him so they could talk more frequently face to face. Gideon pays Dr. Travis to come to New York for a few weeks on the premise to complete more therapy with Eva (& maybe Cary). Gideon decides to have a session with said Doctor as well & this is where the ball starts rolling. Travis gets Gideon to open up a bit & things take off from there. Eva has said that Dr. Travis has a no bull-s**t rule & this type of therapy would be tough on Gideon but then again he might just blurt things out. Any thoughts everyone?

Hi Agoodbook, I'm 100% in agreement with you there. Since book 2 I have thought that the dark-haired women with green-blue eyes were all too similar in appearance to Gideon's mother. I hope this is brought up in therapy somehow with Dr. Petersen. If this is brought to light, I hope that Gideon tells Eva...knowing this might ease her jealosy & improve her self-esteem a bit.

Hi GLH, I am also concerned with Deanna and I think she will cause problems at some point for Gideon & Eva but I also think Gideon will destroy her. (I'm not yet sure why or how...just a feeling) Have also read the books multiple times or at least found "good parts" to re-read. They are always on my coffee table...I'm like a junkie going through withdrawl here. Hopefully, books 4 & 5 will enlighten us through Gideon's point of view...because you're right we never truly know what's up with him. I also agree the doctors (Anne & Terry) will be brought further into the picture...It still bugs me from book 3(at the end) at the dinner where Anne ran into Eva (or the book said a redhead) & said that Gideon has slept with Deanna many times. Anne is major trouble...more than her husband Terry.
