Based on comments and opinions posted over the years, I feel I am in the minority but I want to see Monica with Victor.  When two people who have spent nearly a quarter of a century apart  (Eva says she had never seen them together.)  still have such passion for each other, they deserve a HEA.

This not an anti-Stanton vote but I can think of a lot of ways to ease him out and allow Victor in.  Alas whatever is in store for them has already been written.

I have a hardcover copy of Bared to You.  Can I expect the other four books in the Crossfire series will also be available in hardcover?

Just finished rereading all four books.  At the end of Captivated by You I thought about Bryan Adams song "Everything I Do I Do It For You".  I also have been thinking about John Legend singing "All Of Me" from the balcony of the CrossWinds as the wedding first dance.

Thanks for the "page count" information.  I thought the 250 page count could not be correct.

Went to Brilliance Audio.  They quote audio run time as "nine" hours!

Once again it is what it is.

Checked the number of pages in each of the five books per iBook.  iBook shows only 250 pages for One with You and over 300 pages for each of the other books.  That is confusing.  Well it is what it is so we will have to wait and see.

I already have Moondance.  It is interesting E. L. James also referred to that song in Fifty.  I also have Adele which I think was Sylvia's first music reference.

Just bought it.  I have a playlist of the music E. L. James mentioned in the Fifty Trilogy, not the movie album.  I already have Brave by Sara Bareilles so I can start a Crossfire playlist.  Sylvia does not mention as many songs as James did (over 50) but I am looking for them in the books.

One problem with older actors, Lionsgate has not announced any production start date.  Many form members in the past have stated they would prefer multiple seasons to match multiple books.  If so, five books could equate to five years.  An actor in his forties may be close to fifty by the time the project is done.

Saw Stafford Douglas in a TV show today.  With his hair falling on his forehead, he reminds me of Cary.

I watched American Crime this season and thought Connor Jessup would be a great Trey.  He plays sensitive very well.

I do not know what Lionsgate is waiting for since they bought the TV rights in 2013.  Zac Efron is too short...only 5'8".  I still like Theo James but with blue contacts obviously.  Look at that mouth and think about how Eva describes it.

 

I think the $12 billion refers to Gideon giving Eva "ALL" of him...."ALL" he has...nothing held back!!

To me the two most evil characters are Corrine and Anne. Anne is a sicko. Psychotic and it wouldn't surprise me if she is Corrine's therapist. My daughter is a therapist and I know that anyone worth anything in that field would know immediately if meds were wrong. It wouldn't surprise me if Anne misprescribed on purpose to cause Corrine to go nuts. That said, I think Corrine is evil and does not want anyone to have Gideon if she can't. If she was 4 months pregnant when she miscarried, she and Giroux were still together before she came back to the U.S. Could it be possible she was here to see her parents and when she heard about Eva decided to go after Gideon again? As long as he was seeing one nighters who looked like her, she was happy. Eva was another story. (How creepy why he dated brunettes!)

Cary is protective and needy. He is not a bad guy.

Still want to know about Monica. She definitely has a story.

 

I found it hard to accept Corinne did not know she was four months pregnant.  I know it happens but her explanation was one of the few things that did not work for me.

 

I agree, Anne is the poster child AND dictionary definition of "sicko".  I still feel Gideon's receptionist is somehow related to Anne and Hugh's family not only because she is a redhead but because she harbors negative feelings toward Eva.

 

I thought we would get some insight into Monica's preoccupation with money.  Eva had asked Gideon to look into it in Entwined With You but no significant information has been given yet.

I LOVE the evolution of Gideon's relationship with Ireland.  When they tell each other their conversations are the "highlight" of each others day, that is priceless.  This is the same seventeen year old he had nothing to say to in Bared to You.  He feels badly about the time he missed as a big brother so he steps in give her temporary sanctuary from her parents' problems. It is just one more reason to love Gideon Cross. 

My granddaughter's new favorite pop song describes Eva (except her mother never told her she not to worry until she hooked Gideon!)  She could change "mama" to "boyfriend" or "husband"

A quick question - At the end of the book Arash ask Gideon if he was getting sick AGAIN.  Do  you think they were talking mentally sick?  It seems like I can recall them saying that Gideon was never ill earlier in the book. 

I think Arash was referring to the day Eva called in sick for Gideon.  He did not go to work after his meeting with Chris Senior (about his abuse) and his night with Eva.

 

Remember Arash tells Gideon he is/has recently changed his work ethic.

Some comments and questions: I haven't reread first books for a while, but just how long were Corinne and Gideon together and engaged? Wasn't it mostly back in college? Still seems to me more like fodder for Page 6 than a book unless the person who had the cool idea about Landon being behind it is right.

I'm confused about Brett's copy of the tape. Did Gideon's people erase it while he was meeting with Gideon?

Scary thought about Anne getting her hooks into Cary. Re Anne's vendetta against Gideon - besides her fury about being used to get to her husband, could Dr. Lucas have told her that Gideon instigated her brother's suicide by false accusations?

Very disappointed in Arnoldo. Had hoped he might end up with Shawna when (if) her fiancé stayed in Italy, but not sure he deserves her now. I miss hearing about her. Eva needs some friends she doesn't have to mother.

Nervous about all the baby references.

And I guess I'm an idiot, but I really couldn't quite figure out how that swing worked. Is there a you tube video of someone in one? Just kidding!!!

 

Gideon and Corinne were engaged for over one year per Magdalene in chapter 20 BTY.  In chapter 21 in BTY, Gideon said "I said yes for the wrong reasons. After two years of hanging out..."  The two statements together seem to add up to more then three years.

 

Gideon's people did erase Brett's copy while he met with Gideon.

 

Anne's motivation is still up for discussion.

 

I still like Arnoldo and hope he will get together with Shawna.  I think his reaction to Eva's behavior is reasonable.  More important he stood by his friend regardless of his personal opinion.  That is a good friend who disagrees with you and stays.

Can someone help me understand in Chapter 2 where Eva is talking to Christine Leaman, she is thinking "I winced inwardly. Of course she'd think I would recommend my employer to my boyfriend, because she'd assume Gideon and I had been dating at least long enough to make an engagement plausible. Telling her I had been with Waters Field & Leaman longer than I'd been with Gideon, when I had been employed there only a couple of months, would open up speculation I didn't want floating around."

 

I feel stupid for asking but I am kind of confuse as to what she is saying, can someone help me out? and Thanks!

 

Maybe Eva thinks Christine will believe Page Six about a baby being on the way!
