Yes a very good memory. It's certainly frowned upon, but not illegal. I believe in Las Vegas card counters can be asked to leave the casino, but in Atlantic City, which is another gambling city here, they cannot be.

Julie it's really a card game scheme (e.g. blackjack) where a player keeps a mental tally of the cards played in order to calculate the probability of certain cards being dealt, therefore gaining an advantage against the "house." It's very difficult to do because most casinos use 6-8 decks in a game.

I didn't mean to imply that Cary's drug addiction was his fault. Obviously he was nearly beaten to death and needs the pain medication. My problem with Cary is that he needs to be in therapy regularly. Not a phone call to Dr. Travis. He has a ton of self destructive behavior, and I had just listened to the audio of him in the hospital explaining to Eva that being with just Trey is not enough for him, and I can't help but think he has a sexual addiction, and will need to work through that if he is ever going to be settled.

What a huge mess this has become. I'm listening to the audio, at times with tears in my eyes; wondering how Eva ever works through this emotional betrayal. Can she learn to trust him with her heart again? Ultimately the answer is yes since Sylvia has said time and time again that they will have their HEA, but it seems like these issues are at times insurmountable.

We talk about Gideon being clueless at times, does he realize the depth of Eva's insecurity about Corrine at this point? I mean I feel like he doesn't really understand it until that night with Brett. I hope we get a whole accounting from Gideon about this time period. It might sound cruel, but I want to know that he chewed Corrine out for her behavior.

Probably explains him being quiet the rest of the day. I'm sure hearing he is triggering Eva's dreams was quite painful for him. Plus Cary had been pulling for Gideon so not having him onside might also be a concern.

I'm listening to the audio RIY this week, and I wondered about Cary's drug addiction when the nurse is administering the pain pump. I can't help but think jeez... when will Cary start getting his sh*t together? Listen to him talking to Eva about screwing up with Trey because he wants to be with women as well as men. I don't care that he's bi-sexual, I have an issue with him cheating, and having such a destructive personality. He needs to get in on some Dr. Peterson sessions.

I enjoyed both of these series although Raine Miller's Blackstone Affair more. I feel like Ethan Blackstone is a nice mix of CG and Gideon.

These picture clues are starting to do me in. When I first looked at it, I immediately thought of a courthouse waiting room in Manhattan... Then I thought maybe a hospital waiting room, although that pick a number machine, kinda throws that idea out for me.
