  1. I agree LN. I think Magdalene is a true friend to Gideon and ultimately just wants him to be happy. Wonder what she thought of this whole Corrine thing, after reassuring Eva that Gideon was "managing" Corrine as to not upset Eva.
  2. You can PM someone Sharon. Â I'm sure I will be part of a spoiler thread on the book blog that I follow, so you could always come there to vent.
  3. I had to post the picture... I love seeing the ocean and thinking of their NC time.
  4. So then would Eva be off with her Deena theory?
  5. You're right LN, I just went and looked on the FB forum. I should have remembered.   She said this:  Sylvia Day 7 months ago It's the doctoral candidate, who isn't Dr. Lucas.  The questions before this post center around the abuser being CV Sr or the doctoral candidate.  https://apps.facebook.com/forumforpages/19367188456/52377a16-96d6-4693-abd8-da0dd1fa8599/0  Then what's Gideon's issue with Vidal Sr? I think that must center around the death of Gideon's father. I wonder how "quickly" Elizabeth married him after the suicide.
  6. I think Sylvia has said that the abuser was NOT the doctoral student. I can't remember for sure though. Does anyone else remember?
  7. I think a few more tickets will be released Sharon, and if I hear of anyone that has an extra ticket I will grab it for you.
  8. Hi GiGi was wondering if you were okay. Glad to see you back. Vidal Sr. IMO is either tied to Gideon's abuse or factored into his father's suicide. This is why Gideon has controlling interest in Vidal records. I would have to look up the stats, but I believe the majority of child sex abusers also carry on "normal" adult sexual relationships. I know from my own experience both personal and professional that while there are some predators that do only become aroused by children or the thought of children as sick as that is, there are plenty that can function sexually either way. I am of course far from being an expert on the subject though.
  9. I lean toward that too but the thought that Elizabeth is still married to him sickens me.
  10. In NYC on June 5 Â http://dayafterdarknyc.eventbrite.com/
  11. Also on 6/29 at Book Bash in Orlando: Â Â http://bookbash.net/
  12. Sylvia is doing a signing and Q&A in central Florida on 6/28/13. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/events/506606339392763/?ref=22 Â
  13. I'm posting this here, but maybe will start another thread for appearances. Sylvia will be in Florida at the end of June for Book Bash. She will be having a meet and greet at a local library here, but you have to register if you want to attend. Here is the link: Â http://www.facebook.com/ajax/events/ticket.php?event_id=506606339392763&action_source=1
  14. Can you hide secrets when all the world is watching? Â
  15. You're right sscrph. It's been so long since I've seen my 20's ( ) I almost forget what it's like to be that young.
  16. If it's not October/November I think it won't be until after the new year. Her new series is coming out in August with book 2 in December so I am thinking it won't be released in the same month as that one.
  17. I was so thrilled when I saw the link. I love that Sylvia has been doing so much press and giving us so many clues as to what we can expect. I also feel the alone time is so necessary. I was relieved that Sylvia said that Eva is stronger this go round. I'm worried about poor Gideon and his demons though. It's certainly an uphill battle, but together I think they can do anything. I'm now trying to figure out when we will get book 4. I am hoping it's before the end of the year. Really I'm hoping it will be October/November, but that might be wishful thinking.
  18. No brain olympics needed today.
  19. Â In a crowded nightclub, with darkness surrounding, what mischief might you cross? Â Â
  20. I was just thrilled to read they would be having more alone time... then I said duh *slaps forehead* they have to hide their relationship for most of the book, so of course they have a ton of alone time.
  21. This was the highlight of the interview for me:  "I can’t talk too much about Entwined with You because it’s not out yet. And that’s so hard, because I so want to talk tabout it! But there’s more alone time with Gideon and Eva as we move forward in the series and they grow stronger, so I’m really enjoying that as a writer."  and this:  " The third book is very different. Eva’s in a different place. At the end of Reflected in You, Gideon has made a pretty large sacrifice for her. Her big issues had been insecurities, concerns about other people and other women particularly in Gideon’s life. It’s hard to have those sorts of fears and self-doubt after somebody makes a huge sacrifice, like Gideon did for her. So she’s in a much more stable place as far as her comfort level with the relationship and being able to accept the depth of his commitment to her. Gideon, however--what he’s done, there’s a lot of ramifications. Not just externally, but internally. So as she grows stronger, he’s actually struggling with more. That said, she’s really the anchor for that relationship. She has been from the beginning. So with her being stable, it brings new stability to the whole relationship, and readers will see a lot more moments of calm and connection between the two than we have seen in the previous books."
