She was talking about Eva and Gideon the whole time, even while Christopher was screwing her. That's why it was disgusting and heart-wrenching for Gideon and Eva, and Even Cary to watch and anyone for that matter. Throughout the entire exec hands you have her espousing her feelings about Gideon and Eva on the one hand and on the other a vicious and vengeful individual just taking his own pleasure even her pain was a source of pleasure for him. At least that's my take on things so Cary video tapping the each age didn't bother me at all.

Do keep in mind though that he was recording because Magdelene was actually talking about Gideon and Eva the whole time and I don't even think she was fully conscious that Christopher took things to the other level re: sex I think for Christopher it was about just screwing her and him being evil and that throughout the entire exchange she continued to talk about Gideon and Eva which will prompt Cary to continuing recording the exchange.

I actually like Corrine. I don't trust the other brunnette who serves as Gideon's assistant. I said this earlier on but from the onset she had been super unfriendly to Eva and especially was more or less smirking (smile that wasn't genuine) when Eva went to Gideon's office subsequent to her seeing Corrine in her "post coitus" phase etc. For some reason, she is a red flag to me but who knows.....

Almost all his buisness contains the name "Cross" one way or the other. Gideo could have easily changed his name (an mo, not to Vidal) but he kept his father's last name and I tnknk it was done because there is sooo much more there Someone had commented that he kept his father's name so show what a success he is in comparison to his father but I think all was done (potentially) in tribute to his father. I do believe his father was murdered as well Again, mild speculation on my part of course.

I had proposed that it was murder and Gideon kept his last name for a reason. All his business entails his father's last name.

Alas I digress a bit but listening to the audio re-affirms my suspicion that Gideon's female assistant----> is not to be trusted. From the onset, she has given Eva the "evil eye," coupled with when Eva stormed up to Gideon's office subsequent to seeing Corrine in a post-coitus state, and she was like smiling at Eva at that...like an evil...not friendly. I def think she (Gideon's female assistant) is up to no good and one to watch out for. Maybe I am reading too much into it but.... Red flag for me

Okay. Thanks but I honestly think his father isn't like a shady character and he kept the name in remembrance because he was innocent. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows!

It's interesting..what if Gideon's father was a victim in this Ponzi scheme and was set up and possible killed???? It's interesting that his father was involved in securities company and we all know how Gideon is about security I think his father was possibly set up as think about it, as an adult and given the success that is Gideon, he could have easily changed his last name but he hasn't and not only that, all his businesses/ventures contain the name "CROSS." I don't think he would do something so strategic like that if his father was part of the Ponzi scheme and the like I think Gideon naming all his ventures Cross-related is in remembrance of his father and there is more there that needs exploring.,, Just my immediate thoughts....

Earlier on this week I was joking (sort of) around saying Corrine and Brett make for an awesome couple....and who knows, they potentially do. Lol

In one of the snippets, the story was being told from Gideon's perspective which I loved and deeply welcomed as we were only reading things via Eva's eyes but lately, all subsequent snippets seems to point to us being told the story from Eva's eyes. Do you think SD will be going back and forth between both characters? I actually would love that but I loved reading via Gideon side of things as well and getting a sense of his feelings and the like in his own words.

Totally, I am saying for the 4th book I want babies and marriage. I hope EWY ends with a marriage proposal. Like with the question proposed and that's the ending....nice cliffhanger into a 4th book. EWY, Eva and Gideon have tons to work out in cementing their relationship. I also want more Cary! He is sooo adorable. Unmmm Corrine and Brett actually makes for a nice couple, no! Lol. Just joking actually

OMG!!!! I am in Gideon & Eva Heaven!!! Totally happiness as I want a wedding and babies for these two. I want to go through the entire process and not no weird last chapter saying "5-years later..." Lol. Babies and a wedding (not necessarily in that same order) is the next logically step for these lovers. And I need more Cary as well!!!

Nope. That's not what I was referring to. Subsequent to her dancing with Martin read from there. I realize it was Corrine he wanted to introduce her to which is highly odd and makes me think Corrine is really not plague with bad intentions as we would have been lead or others seem to think.

Who was Gideon going to introduce Eva to right before Corrine surprised him with her "guest appearance " in NYC? He was about to introduce Eva to someone important I would assume but that plan crumbled when Corrine appeared out of no where. Thoughts?

I don't think Corrine is as bad a character though. For some reason I think she will suprise us all. Her and Eva won't be BFF but I don't think she is such a bad person.

I'll check them out. I have pretty much just about read all her other books (getting pretty close). Seven Years of Sin is pretty great and also Ask for It. I always go back to Gideon & Eva daily and obsessively at that. I have also purchases BTW & RIY on audio and loving it Beth Kerry's Francesa & Ian's story also was okay. And Shannon McKenna is an awesome writer as well!

Ps- I welcome suggestion for reading as well in the interium. I have started reading Lilian Hart books and obsess with the McKenzie family and her other books.

Exactly. I think we are soo wound up in anticipation of EWY that we try to extrapolate hidden meanings when sometime things should be taken at face value. This is just Sylvia saying happy Easter (and question mark as not everyone celebrates Easter potentially) to us fans, inviting us to spend our "Easter" with our favorite loves I must say, I was soo beyond frustrated by the push back of the release of EWY that I wanted to start a petition (you know, channeling all Eva and stirring up stuff as I got "time on my hands") but Sylvia's genorousity with the snippets and snap shots chilled me out Although I just make start that petition on Change.org against the publishers just because...lol so be on the look-out for that!!!

All books I always read the ending first, and then see what the middle chapter entails. I like to know from the onset and then I will sit back and read the entire book. Ps- I just love spoilers.

Lol. Seriously, I think some wild card character should come into play as Nathan's killer. It's the perfect ending. I say that as really it would have been appropriate for Eva to really be the one to kick his butt and have a show down... Since that Didn't occur his death needs to death with re: some random character.
