Yes this is why I think if Gideon and Eva do marry or at least get engaged in Entwined as the luggage tags suggest it will be at the end of the book; so at least we will have two more books where we can read about their HEA. I think that's something positive to keep us going till then...

Our girl knows how to bounce back though because her sat nite crashed and burned but she gave it back to Gideon(BFE) with that great line about his speech being the highlight of her evening. Cross may be a tsunami as Cary later puts it but Eva sure is a tornado at the very least!!!

I think we as a group have a lot to be happy about --Corinne will be gone and Victor's coming back! I can't wait to get more insights into Monica's life even though I still detest her!! I already have my favorite moments from chapter 6 ; these of course are in addition to the limo scene which I think is so well written and I reread frequently LOL ...Anyway I love when Eva thinks to herself"I wanted to please him, I wanted to know I was capable of reaching inside Gideon Cross and there was nobody stopping me but him and then later when the date fell apart at the Advocacy Dinner when she skewers him by saying"You gave a wonderful speech Gideon, it was the highlight of my evening." I know I'm getting ahead of myself but mission accomplished Eva!!

LN back to chapter 5 as I was rereading for the umpteenth time...Do you think Gideon was already having Eva followed at this point or did he have the doorman at Eva's building call him when she returned from her spa visit because he was rounding the corner when she had him on the phone and walking in the building as she had her doorman on the phone...

Yes when you put all those things together Eva and Gideon's relationship makes me sad...I so want to see them blissfully dancing together at one of these functions enjoying each other totally and completely without their past baggage don't you??

Yes I agree although if you look at those casting videos I like the guy they pick for him he has really shifty eyes...

There was another odd moment when Eva returned from her elevator ride with Gideon and Eva told Megumi "that man is such a head trip" and Eva wondered to herself why everyone was so concerned with her love life, I thought that was a red flag...

If anything, this is more plausible than her dating Nathan...

I agree if Monica were doing the day to day things that moms do there is no way she could have missed the signs of abuse not to mention Eva's behavior must surely have been suspect at the time I can't believe a 10 year old child could be so secretive...I wish Monica did kill Nathan so she could o to jail like she deserves for being an unfit mother!!

I read this line by Gideon and think how it was so about the sex at the beginning but quickly became so much more that he would kill for this woman... Good Lord he really must have been looking hard for an angel his whole life to this point, to quote a line from FSOG , he came alive when he met Eva!!

It's a good thing Eva suffers from low self esteem or Gideon' s beautiful face would have definitely been marred by a couple of black eyes from the average woman...LOL

I don't know Gigi I think she was just so attracted to him that all common sense and self esteem flew out the window but she was also attracted to the fact that he was so attracted to her; being impressed by the lengths he was going to to get all " hot and sweaty" with her as Eva herself says...
