  1. HOW F(&^*** GREAT!!!!!! I do so need a vacation and sun and the ocean .... I´m going to start packing right now! LOL!!!!!

I can´t wait and my gratulation to your 3,000th post!  AWESOME!

    SME

    Thank you.

Wouldn't it be great if it were real. We would have such a laugh. Debating on the beach.

I do tend to talk too much. My daughter tells me constantly, to be quiet. Lol :D

  2. Well ladies

I have borrowed Gideons plane and I am flying us all to the Windward Islands this weekend. As a celebration of my 3,000th post.

Claude will arrange transport from the airport. So if you can make sure your passports are up to date. Pack those bikinis, sun hats and tanning lotion.

A cabana, Kingsman and cranberry awaits your arrival! Don't forget a good book!

    :D

  3. Yeah, right Julie!

A priest would be the only person where he could confide in without risking a revelatioin! A priest is not allowed to talk about this to others or am I wrong here?  But this will maybe only help contemporarely and Gideon is - certainly - for sure nobody who confide in a priest!

But maybe Victor finds out and started talking with Gideon - maybe only indirectly. To let Gideon know that he is grateful! But the burden, Gideon have to carry along, probably his whole long life. What for a sacrifice!

    Your right about Victor.

I'm sure when he came back to New York, knowing about Eva's abuse, knowing what Nathan did to his little girl, he realised it was Gideon who killed Nathan. He admitted he wanted to hurt him. I wonder how the conversation went between Victor and Gideon, when Gideon asked to marry Eva. Gideon said he taped it.

  4. Hi Sharom,

wow, what for a very long and specific answer! Thank you very much in sharing your detailed opinion! Very fine argumentation!I do this appreciate a lot! That you took your time to explain exactely your point of view and your experiences!  I see your points and can totally accept them and I do understand Gideon´s motives of murdering Nathan. Completely! But I don´t approve somehow.

I only wondered that there wasn´t more scenes which describes emotional AFTER-EFFECTS of the murder of Nathan for both, for EVA and Gideon. I had expected this murder would be - although this murder relieved EVA completely - a dark shadow, a burden. But I was wrong! And I am also not in the shoes of both of them. I know TRAUMA but mostly in emotional way!

Well, all your words I have to let sink in ....

P.S. Glad that my grammar is mostly fine ... and not bothering you ... :) to you!

    Hi Sme

We can understand you fine. No bother at all.

I don't think Nathan's murder is over for Gideon. He is haunted by it in his nightmares, which impacts on their life to sleep together as a couple. Gideon can never reveal these secrets to Dr Petersen, it is something he will live with the rest of his life. Whether his nightmares ease we don't know yet.

Only Sylvia knows if it is carried over to book 4.

  5. It is funny how I thought the snippets & snapshots were taking me down one road and then all the sudden Sylvia sent us on a hard right  turn that was totally unexpected.  You are right that is why we keep reading.

    Hi Sharon

When I considered our theories for book 3 we didn't do very well. Heaven knows where we shall go this time. Keeps us on our toes. Gripping stuff!

  6. Hi Julie,

No apology necessary. I enjoy the debate here about controversial characters more than anything. And I apologise if I seemed a little exasperated, I think we are all so emotionally invested in these characters its easy to get worked up when debating your point!

Hope you have a great day :)

    Hi Rogue.

I was always taught at school to see both sides of an argument. I think I got a bit blinkered by Gideons charms!

But I still think Brett knows about the sex tape. I just have a feeling, he's not squeaky clean.

  7. Rogue,

To tell the truth, I feel Brett has behaved in a pretty gentlemanly way given Eva's current actions towards him. (Now I'm ducking to avoid the brickbats and rotten tomatoes that are being thrown at me!) :). And I'm going to be eating a crow the size of a turkey if it turns out he had anything to do with the sex tape.

    Nancy

I think we are all looking at a portion at some point. Lol :)

  8. Totally agree with you here Nrock.

Personally, I think Eva (and maybe Gideon) are totally to blame for the whole Brett situation. IMO he has done absolutely nothing wrong. All he's doing is pursuing a woman he lost a long time ago and has wanted back ever since.

People's main complaints about him are:

    1. Him being overly familiar and a bit crude to Eva too quickly. However every one is quite forgiving of Gideon who did the same thing and with less right IMO.

    2. The Golden video - it was embarrassing and uncomfortable for Eva. However it was just a visual representation of the song, as many music videos are. It's not like he filled it with sex scenes & they had nothing to do with anything. The song describes their relationship which was mainly about sex, and Eva had no problem with the song, in fact I think she was flattered by it.

    Hi Nancy and Rogue

I have to say, I wasn't a great fan of Gideon the first time I read the books(1 & 2) I thought he was a right d ouche bag. The way he treated Eva was abysmal. But when the story unfolded at the end of book 2 I succumbed to his charms. Then re reading the books I understood his character more. The same applies now I have read book three. I understand his abuse and behaviour better, even though we still only know a little of what went on. But that doesn't excuse his crude mouth, when he first met Eva. He needed his mouth washed with soap!

  9. Personally I don't think anything would make Angus happier than doing this.  I cannot tell you how much I love and  respect Angus.  He has been so many different things and played so many different roles in Gideon's and now Eva's life and for him to see his boss and pseudo son happy and being a father...I think that would mean so much to Angus to be there to see another generation of Cross' grow.

    Hi Fayeth

    I couldn't agree with you more. :)

  10. I think Marty is a good guy.  We don't have a lot of information on him yet but he had to sense Gideon's ire when he was dancing with Eva.  Marty was very polite and basically invited Gideon to family gatherings.  Also, at the night club he connected with Lacey and it grew to more than a one night stand.  That said I'm not surprised with the twists and turns in this series.

    Hi Sharon

there are more twists and turns than a tornado!

You think you have something Sussed, then it's a 180 degree turn. That's why we love it. Unpredictable.

  11. Julie,

there are? I´ve learnt the English laws system and the German law system is quite different! Maybe this changed?? Well, I did only studies 2 years and it was long ago!

I am sorry ...  maybe I am wrong! I did understand - also from an earlier post here - that if Gideon would be declared unguilty in the UNITED STATES thereafter there is way for a prosecution with new evidences. Once cleared always cleared.

    But maybe I am wrong ... !

You know more than me. From what you said they sounded the same or similar.

If Gideon was found not guilty, he couldn't be tried again.

  12. Ok Claudine,

Martys off the hook it's Michael.

Just got to the bit in the book where Megumi has just had a last nooner with Michael, before dumping him.

She said "he just acted all hurt about it, like I'd used him for sex. I figured he wouldn't have a problem with a no-strings.-attached nooner."

Michael is responsible for Megumis absence. Possible Lacey's too. The girls rejection of him being the trigger.

  13. Welcome SME!! I hope you enjoy the forum :)

In regards to your thoughts bout Gideon killing Nathan I completely understand. I never got the chance to analyze that because well I wasn't part of the forum them and really I took the killing for what it was. Understood why Gideon did it, sooner or later Nathan was going to harm Eva, either kill her, kidnap her, I mean who knows. I think Eva understood this more than we ever could. Killing Nathan saved Eva, mentally and physically. That part of her life can be finally buried (no pun intended). Gideon freed Eva in a sense, Nathan always had this hold her and once he was dead she could finally let go. Let go of everything that happened.

Maybe Graves just didn't think about following Eva, maybe she didn't want to, or idk. I think Graves thought that by planting that seed that Eva would go back to Gideon like she expected and it would only be a matter of time before she found out.

Now I shall get ready to go eat some BBQ lol

    Hi Claudine

    HAve a great day?

Kingsman and cranberry on the rocks!

  14. Hi Julie,

    thanks again!

Glad that I am not alone with my opinion. But yes, the question of Sylvia helps.

But you must know we have a totally different attitude toward possessing guns etc. here in Europe, in Germany! We don´t have the death penalty and the laws to possess a gun etc. are very very strict. !

I do think in real danger I would be able to kill someone. But I was never in this situation!

But, I do understand your point that Gideon doesn´t trust the police etc.!

But the risk of getting discovered! In my law class, criminal law class, our prof tends to say there is no perfect murder. And in Germany the law system is different. Here you can be accused for the same crime again if new evidences are showing up!

Yeah, the more I do think about this - my problem is that I am living in a different law system!

But apart these all, I really wonder why this murder is not a matter between Gideon and EVA! That this fact and all the dangers of discovering doesn´t cause much more trouble. I couldn´t sleep if I knew my boyfriend, now husband risks to go to jail! Even if I am more than happy that this person NATHAN is dead! But this is only my reaction.

Like always these story affects everybody different and on a personal way!

Your laws are the same as ours.

Eva did make a comment at the beginning of Entwined

She said "he must have been worried how I would react to what he had done for me. To be honest, I'd been worried. Did my gratitude mean I was more twisted than I realised?. Then I remembered my stepbrothers hands all over me....his weight pressing me into the mattress...the tearing pain between my legs as he rammed into me over and over. I trembled with renewed fury. If being glad the f*cker was dead made me twisted, so be it."

For the first time since Nathan started raping Eva, she relaxed knowing he could never hurt her again.

To Eva, what Gideon did was a gift of life.
