  1. Ladies you are killing my pocketbook.  I had to take my grand kids to see Superman and now I know I'm going to buy The Tudors, not to mention all the books I'm buying, even though I promise myself I'm cutting back.  If this continues I will need a part-time job to subsidize my addiction.

I need to by the Tudors as I loved that and when Superman comes out I am buying that so I have Henry at home Oh the thought Yum Yum :)

You cannot cut back on Henry, or Sylvia's books, they are our addiction. :)

    Well and truly hooked!

  2. I need to take a break from reading so much (and spending so

much on books) but I'm addicted.  I'm going to download a couple more of Sylvia's books this weekend.  These sound great.

    Hi Sharon

You will not be disappointed with her historical novels, they are fab! I've read them twice each time. I loved Alistair and Jessica, the pirate, Christopher St John, well! Lustful loving, and you wouldn't want to cross him! The stories are so beautiful, and angsty.

Did have to google some of the words though, old English is interesting. Anyway, back to my pirate. Ciao! :)

  3. First time on this thread.

    Hi to all.

I read very quickly so I have read a lot of the suggested books.  I highly recommend Sylvia's Georgian series.  There is a character named Simon who sort of reminds me of Gideon.  Loved the Stark books by J Kenner and am waiting for the final one next week.  Loved the Gabriel books, the This Man series, and On Dublin St.  The second book was OK and I haven't read Ellie's story yet.  For s e x, you cannot beat the BEAUTIFUL series.  Whew.

I am going to try some of the other suggestions.  Thanks.

    Hello

I have nearly finished the historical novels of Sylvia's. they are brilliant. I absolutely loved Alastair and Christopher St John.

I am re reading the again.

I can see where she got the idea of Gideon and Eva from. Alistair and Jessica's story was so beautiful.

    Give them a go girls.

  4. Yes Cary will be trusted with the kids.  As babies their nanny will have the background equal to or more in depth than the one for the CIA.  When the kids are older the Cross' will open a day care center at Cross Industries to be close to the kids.

    Morning Sharon.

I agree with you. There will be more checks on people coming into contact with his children, than people living in Czechoslovakia! Lol

His info gathering knows no bounds.

  5. Hey Julie

I have read that one and the Georgian series and the historical ones that SD has written I love them all but I love Alastair in this book, he is so Gideon you can see the similarities from this book to the Crossfire Series.  I hope you enjoy.

Just been a hermit the last couple of days getting to read Down London Road, after a while reading I really loved it, was up until the wee hours this morning reading and then when Stuart went to work this evening I finished it, hence why I have not been on site or FB so now downloaded Down Dublin Street to read Joss and Braden's story, so can't wait to start that, maybe tonight :)

    Hi Sheena

You will love it. As I said a Scottish Gideon sort of!

Just finished seven years to sin. Absolutely loved it. Especially the red dress and the sex in the carriage! how did they manage that!!! Now i see where the sex in the limo and red dress came from in Bared.

    Gong to start it again.

    Enjoy being a hermit. :)

  6. I think Megumi would've figured out about Victor & Monica, yes.  She was there when Eva "caught" them.  Monica was flustered, wearing Eva's clothes and Eva's makeup.  And Victor was in the shower.  Women pick up on that stuff.  Plus Eva's reaction to the whole thing was a dead give-away, I think.

If Martin did get wind of it somehow, and immediately reported it to his uncle Richard, I don't think that would make him a bad guy.  He'd see it as saving his uncle from a scheming fortune-hunter, probably.  Incidentally, I like the idea of Victor and Monica getting together.  It'd be nice for her to realize that money isn't the be-all & end-all.  Especially since they've both carried a torch for each other all along.

I keep thinking that the only way for Gideon to be free of Nathan's murder is to be arrested, tried, and acquitted for it, since there's no statute of limitations on murder.  Plus it's really bothering Eva not to be able to be frank with Cary about the whole thing.  I think the truth will come out, either in the 4th book, or the 5th.  Maybe Monica & Victor could get reacquainted when supporting Eva through her ordeal?

Thank you for the welcome!  I've really been enjoying these boards for the past month or so!  You're all hilarious, with such great insights!

    Hi Carol

Good to have you on board. We have lots of fun just speculating.

    :)

  7. I can understand why she's upset but i do think she is taking it too far. You shouldn't go back to a man's hotel room for a one night stand and expect to be treated with respect. The way he acted was wrong but i still think she is overreacting given the situation.

I agree Jen. At the end of the day, Deanna was easy! Simple! Sorry the truth hurts lady!

Yes he was a d I c k , but she gave it to him on a plate! Get over it!

  8. Julie,

I loved this book, I was late on the take to read this book too.  I hope that you will read Jo's story, "Down London Road" and then Ellie's "Until Fountain Bridge."  Ellie's story (I believe) was not released on paper, but it is really good.  It is more or less a trip down memory lane, but it is still good.  I am glad that you too decided to read Samantha Young's books.

    Thanks Fayeth

I didn't realise that Ellie's story was out. Looking forward to it. Loved the relationship between Braden and Joss. Braden was a bit of alright. :)
