 Hey GiGi,    Somebody's Angel is out. It is almost 400 pages (I love longer books because I read so fast). The timeline is what happens with Marc & Angel starting around and and after the Aspen trip. Masters uses an interesting technique because we see some of Damien & Savannah's and Adam & Karla's adventure from a different point of view. The book fills in a lot of blanks while taking Marc and Angelina on a difficult journey. I liked it and now I'm waiting again for Luke & Cassie to get to their HEA.  Next week Maya Banks next book in the KGI series is out. She posted on her blog that this is her longest book to date. As I said before, I like the longer books because we get more details. Since Van is my favorite Kelly I can't wait for After the Storm. It does seem like I'm waiting a lot for the rest of the story. LOL

That said, I know Arnoldo is Gideon's friend and he needs friends but he is the logical choice to go next. In my humble opinion.

Ladies,  I was willing to help kill off Monica even though I know she isn't the bad guy that everyone believes but I won't help kill off Angus or Clancy. I believe they are very important to Gideon. Angus as the surrogate father and, until SD shows us differently, I believe Clancy protected Gideon from the evil Graves and team.

 It will be interesting to see what the Gideon/Corinne relationship consisted of when Sylvia gets to that part of his history. Personally I don't think Corinne was "collared" in the strict BDSM sense.  The evidence I found --Sylvia has a hand go to the throat often to show loss or fear. Eva "My hand went to my throat, my mind torn between the weirdness of how much he new about me." BTY Eva "My hand went to my throat, my gaze sliding helplessly to Megumi, who watched me with raised eyebrows." RIY Monica "What? Her hand went to her throat. Her dilated gaze remained fixed on the Crossfire." RIY Monica & Eva talking ""Why? Because he's not rich?" "Yes." Her hand went to her throat." EIY  It is possible that Corinne thought about a necklace that Gideon gave her as a gift. Maybe she knows he didn't think to much about the engagement ring he gave her but a necklace was a special gift.  I also notice that Gideon's love making involves a lot of throat kissing and a couple times he grabs Eva by the throat when he takes her from behind. My guess is that he did the same with Corinne. When Gideon discussed submission with Eva he said "Come on, Eva. You know I don't want to beat you, punish you, hurt you, demean you, or order you around like a pet. Those aren't needs either of us has." A typical BDSM relationship would require some of the above for one or the other partner. When he gave her a ring Gideon told Eva it wasn't bondage but a way to hold onto her. In other words to remind Eva to whom she belongs.

 My guess is she will come back when we start to get snippets or when we start reading CBY. She is a good facilitator and very knowledgeable. Many of the long time posters are taking a break waiting for the next chapter.  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas Â

 I heard the Jack is coming back and that makes me happy. Touch wasn't very successful even though Fox gave Kieffer Sutherland more time than most new show get. I suspect they felt they owed him since 24 was so successful.  My "The End" referred to the book series. I know Eva and Gideon will last longer on the TV show (thankfully). I like reading the story. It will be a series that I go back to often in the future.

 Gigi, I have the Colter Legacy books but I haven't finished them yet. I plan on doing that over the Christmas vacation. (I have two weeks off)  I like audio books when I have to travel it passes the time. Be careful listening to audio books with the windows down. I shared the Gideon / Eva angry lovemaking on their way to NC with my fellow commuters. It can be embarrassing when you notice others listening at the red light.Â

 Yes this is the next part of the Marc and Angelina's story. It goes back to the problems they had in Denver and how they work it out after Angelina leaves him.Â

 I like him and he looks good in the long hair. Some good looking guys can't pull it off but he looks .... good...really good.

I was just thinking...  Sylvia gets so much grief about the release dates of her books, she will probably be very happy when Crossfire #5 is on the shelf but I will be sad to let the series go. As much as I want to read the next chapter I am going to really hate reading the final "The End" on the Gideon/Eva story.  I was a big "24" fan and didn't want to see the end of Jack Bauer. I DVRd the final season and didn't watch it for a long time just to hold onto the series. I feel the same about Gideon & Eva I want the HEA but I don't want the series to end. Feeling conflicted.Â

Regardless of when Captivated is released I know I will read it at least 50 times. As soon as the release date is announced I will start re-reading (I've lost count of how many times I've read these books) from Bared. As many times as I've read them I catch something I missed or forgot.  As much as I like this series, I really enjoy the discussions here. I can't wait for the comments for you all after reading Captivated and the speculation about what will happen in book 5.

One more thing--My kids always give me a couple books for Christmas. I copied some of the recommendations from here to add to my regular list (a couple of my favs always have a new book out this time of year). My son always gives me the latest James Paterson (Alex Cross) book plus one or two others and my youngest daughter always gives me the latest Preston & Child book and another. I love to read and this way I don't buy a book they plan to give me.  Thanks to Barb I let my oldest daughter know if she buys an Amazon gift card from the grocery store it will add to the cents off gas. Can't go wrong with a gift card and it is less expensive to mail. This week my book addiction saved me $.30 off per gallon of gas. I'm going to buy books anyway it is good to get cheaper gas too.

Hi Gigi.  Thanks for keeping the list up to date. I use your list to update my spreadsheet of books to read. I will say I read or listened to all of J.D. Robb's "In Death" series over the past two months. I read a Nora Roberts' book years ago and didn't like it. I'm not sure why and I don't remember the book but because of that I resisted the "In Death" series even though so many of my friends recommend them all the time. After SD mentioned Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb in interviews (and Reflections) I decided to give it a go. I used one of my audible credits and listened to the book and became hooked.  There are some similarities between Roarke & Gideon- rich beyond belief, very successful in business, hot, hot, hot, loves his wife and beautiful to look at. If for not other reason, that alone is worth the time reading the books.  Eve and Eva have similar names and over came an abusive childhood but they are very different as adults.  If you love a good mystery/crime novel mixed with a hot romance these books are worth reading.  As an aside, if you like audio books I found that Kindle will add the audio version on some books for cheap. It is less expensive to buy the kindle/audio bundle then the audio alone. I like to highlight and make notes while I'm reading my favorite series so I buy the Kindle or Nook books. I like to listen to the audio on my ride to work and while cleaning. The audio adds a lot to the book especially when there is a good narrator.Â
